Welp, just got anotehr model off ebay. This time, it's a Benetton B198 driven by Alex Wurz in 1998 F1 Championship. 1/18 by Minichamps.

Was only $20 fortunately.

Looks nice Stang. I waiting to see what Exoto's 956 will look like first.

I should really get round to getting an eBay account.

For that price, MustangSVT, you could make that Benetton a speical Candian GP edition :D

Isn't No. 5 Fisichella's car?

Yea #6 is Wurz's model, my bad. In that picture, is that a Prost car? That may be impossible to find.

I do plan to get Hakkinen's '98 car to team up with this one at some point (hopefully soon). I only got the Wurz model cause I'm a fan of him and my name happens to be Alex as well. I might get his '06 Williams as well or might wait for his actual race car from '07 since he'll be an actual driver and not test driver. As some of you know, I also have an Alex Wurz McLaren MP4-18 Test car in 1/18 Minichamps. This is a prety rare model (999 worldwide) and it's the only McLaren with him in 1/18.

Also, if anyone finds a good deal on Schumacher 66th pole model, let me know. It looks like they're sold out most places :(.

I might be getting one of these. I found out today though, that my parents have managed to get me a Ferrari 248 Schumacher. There were only a few left and mine is in the next shipment. Yee Haw! 1/43 remember, because i collect those ;)

I really want one of those 66th pole really bad. I WILL have one eventually.

In other news, I have won a model on ebay again unfortunately, now I'm really broke. It's a McLaren MP4/15 in 1/18 by Minichamps. Cost me 26 euros which is a good bargain I think.

I got 2 new models yesterday, a AutoArt Lancer VII & a Kyosho Mercedes E-Klasse T-Modell. The Mercedes comes in a Mercedes own brand box but the undercarriage says it's a Kyosho?

& a couple of the Mercedes box.

You guys'll get a laugh from this one:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/1998-MIKA-HAKKIN...oryZ2876QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

"This is a 1998 Mika Hakkinen 1/18 scale McLaren Mercedes Benz MP4/13 car. It's grey and black in color, has very nice detail. The strange thing I noticed about this car when doing research is that it doesn't say Mika or West on the side like all the others I've seen. I guess maybe it's a specail model maybe? It just has some kind of star logo on it. It measures 10 inches long, 4 inches wide and about 2.5 inches tall. It's in good condition but does not have the original box..
"

It's his wife selling it. $99 starting bid? No original box? Regular model without west decals. Uh, okay.. Not even the WEST factory applied model goes for $100, lol.

My Lamborghini LP500R arrived today. Pictures to follow when my light tent arrives.

Some other news. Exoto having this sale on their official website.

Porsche 935 hawaiian tropic '79 le mans - $130 pre-order price
Williams FW14B + Renault RE20 - $350 bundle (mansell/arnoux)
Ferrari 312T4 + 312T - $400 bundle (sheckter, lauda I think)

They're still a LOT of money so I won't be jumping on these deals at all Lol.

nice!

so, anyone asked for models for xmas?

as you probably know, (ive posted it about 100 times)

ive asked for an AA ford gt from the local model stocker (its actually a picture shop :embarrassed:)

Hey Holden. I hate you. I'm angry that I bought the AA DBR9 now. Thanks a lot. Jerk!

Oh well, I've got 15+ models on my list for Xmas and B-Day (which is today :))

The doors open...so what? Are you going to hop in and take a spin?

I myself don't mind the sealed cars. I don't spend much time doing anything with my models other than looking at them parked on my desk. For this, I don't need the doors or hoods to be open.

I like having the doors openable however I still love my DBR9. I'm fine with a sealed shell, but I much rather get one that opens for more detail if it's possible. I'm more disappointed that I didn't know this DBR9 was coming out, otherwise I would have waited.

From the looks of it, not much to see on that car (DBR9) even if it does open. I'd rather go with the AA as the sealed line has proven amounts of detail and I haven't seen the Solido in person. Plus the fact that being in Canada, importing the Solido from UK would nearly cost how much the AA would cost me. I'm waiting for the #007 DBR9 anyway and Solido isn't making that.
