FYI, for those interested, there's a Hill FW18 model on ebay with Rothmans conversion on it. The Minichamps FW18 appears rarely on ebay from my experience and I've yet to see a conversion other than the one I have.

Item # 230189220919

recieved these this morning :D also got most of my certificates back from bathurst.

I just recieved two more 1:43 F1s.

Sauber Petronas showcar 2005 - Felipe Massa - limited to 2016 pcs

I'd like to know how much they all cost and how far I could go paying that for a flight!

Great choices 👍

no LP640 from autoart by the looks of it :(
Hi guys, my friend just got an email from Autoart regarding the Lamborghini LP640 in 1/18 scale. He asked Autoart if they are planning to make the Lambo LP640 in 1/18 scale and here's what they say: NO, were are not making the LP640 Lambo in 1/18 scale. I'm very disappointed after I heard this because Autoart is the best manufacture making Lambo models out there and they are not making the LP640. I don't know if Kyosho is making the LP640 in 1/18 scale since they already made other Lambo models. I know there's a manufacture that already released the LP640 in 1/18 but I saw the pics of it, it looks like toy, and very ugly, it completely ruined the image of a beautiful car. If you guys have any news about who's making the LP640 in 1/18 scale beside Norev then please share, thanks.

Ordered them today, 1:43 scale. M5 Ring taxi, M6 Safety car + M6 Coupe. All Kyosho. Currently trying to find a bronze M6 convertable but I think they only make blue and black ones in 1:43 :(

Well this sucks :(
I'm not holding my breath on the Norev, from what I have seen their models seem to be hit or miss. It does confuse me as to why AA wouldn't make a model of such a popular car. Who ever is in charge of choosing what car to make models of needs to be fired...
👎

And how much my models cost?
I really have no idea
Anyway yes, my collection has huge variety. All sorts of different cars and trucks that I like.

might just be the cost to buy the rights to making the car, remember what happened with the bullet car the last time AA didnt have the rights to a car.

Look what I just ordered. 👍

I plan to convert this to the #63 winner using decals. I got it cause Exoto having a 50% off thanksgiving sale and couldn't pass it up.

Looks to me like a 996 by Maisto (Turbo?) and a Carrera GT by Maisto. I've got those 2 as well.

Black Carrera GT
Dark Blue 996 Targa

Both maisto.

The LP640 being made by Maisto doesn't really bother me too much, but I hope AutoArt is at least going to pick up the Reventon.

Yep, both the Carrera GT and 996 Carrera 4S are Maisto's:tup:

My brother has(d) the 996 Targa in dark red but he doesn't treat his models like I do mine, so it is a wreck just like his SRT-10:mad:

Please tell me the CGT is an AUTOart :)

As I said above it isn't, the funny thing is I was actually thinking of buying an AUTOart Porsche when I bought the CGT, a 997 GT3 RS to be exact:)

Here are some pics of my latest 2 decal conversion. Both of these models are the F2007 of Kimi Raikkonen. The first set of photos is from the Hat Trick edition representing the Australia race and the second one is the regular edition with tobacco livery.

This model by the way isn't that great. In stock form with no hashmark/marlboro livery on it, it looks pretty crappy. It is only after the livery is done that it looks decent. I'm somewhat satisfied with it but only because I applied the decals really well and the decals are high quality. Hot Wheels just took a dump on this model, but it's the only game in town, and with Kimi being my favorite driver, I just had to have it. I've also seen Spark is coming out with a 1/43 resin version for about $100. If they make it nice, I may even end up buying one of those.

Enjoy the photos:

Arrived today, pleasently surprised by this model.also like that CC include booklets with the models now telling the history of the car.this car had 620bhp in 1972! iirc f1 cars at the time only had 400!

The McLaren M23 of Gilles Villeneuve - REVIEW
From this picture, you could be forigiven for mistaking the car for 1:18 scale due to the detail. It is 1:43.

Exterior:
The model's exterior paint is a white base, with red stroke and black highlight lines. The sponsor decals all look very well applied and realistic, apart from the Goodyear decal on the front nose. The decal surruond is a slight different colour to the white the rest of the car. However, the rest of the car's exterior is brilliantly done. The car's shape, wings, and intakes is very well represented and deatures detailed radiators on each side.

Both the cockpit and the engine cover are removable and storable within the box.
8/10

Driver

Gilles is accuratley recreated here very well. The miniature decals on his race overalls are represented well for their sheer smallness. The painted race harness looks good and the helmet is well done.
8/10

Engine & Mechanicals
The Ford V8 Is very detailed for the size. The transmission is fully visible, as are the shocks and anti roll bars. The steering column goes into the steering rack underneath the bodywork, but as fully expected the steering does not work. This is no problem though because all you need to do is look at the model to understand it's quality and worth. The GoodYear tyres and wheels are well detailed.

Summary
The model is presented in classic minichamps fashion, with the familiar cuboid plastic cover, on the black plastic base with detail card. The REMOVABLE bodywork fits under a thin plastic casting and slides into a gap in the card under the car. A fantastic model overall, with pretty much everything you could want from a minichamps 1:43 F1 car: A legendary driver, a landmark car in the drivers career and very good detail and presentation.

Overall Verdict: 9.2/10

This shot is not blurred, but a phase between bodywork on and off

All comments appreciated.

Nice! Any more pics of the Range Rover on the right?
I have some older ones somewhere in here, but I plan on getting new ones tomorrow, including group shots with my other SUV's :)
Also I plan on deleting that entire directory as I reorganize my model pictures. The new directory is Here

On sunday Mclaren Models hosted thier Scotmodel 2007 event and lucky this year i recieved a letter being invited along to it to have a display stand.Invited my friend david along as well as i have to get there via public transport so couldnt carry alot of models(although even though i only took 12 i really did feel it this morning!)

Really was the busiest show ive been to and we had alot of interest and alot of people saying how great it was seeing diecast models on display as everything seems to be for plastics models.Got loads of interest too with the 2006 bathurst winner,in fact there was 5 people during the day that had came up to us that had been to bathurst before and seen the toranas in the museum (not jealous.....not jealous....honest...) and another that had been to lemans in 1984 and remembers seeing the 956 racing that year but i the older bentleys seemed to steal the show :D .

everything seemed to be going well till the end of the day when packing up.david was trying to screw in his AA muria(in one of those styrofoam boxes holding it upside down) when it flipped open cause he was holding it more to one side and landed on his MGB,breaking one of the rear wheels on the MGB and smashing the windscreen on his muria, luckily i had JUST moved my '79 torana a9x out of the way to make room for a box i was putting on the table or the muria would have landed on that too!
