iv been meaning to ask about this but years ago i bought two of these model skylines, i have no idea who they are made by but there was a range of different ones in tuned styles on these lil bases with a brand on em in a simple case. they seem to be made from a solid block, maybe mould or cut, not metal however it feels kinda like a hard rubbery material or maybe a soft wood about 1/43 scale. a reasonable bit of detail in places has anyone seen these before itd be neat to find some more info bout em

hmm, they are probably resin cast model, that would explain the rubbery wood feeling...... they look as you said like they have quite a bit of detail on them, must be very well made moulds...

Robin.

Finally got some more pictures of my models. The camera really sucks (which is why I've never really bothered), so the picture quality is pretty crappy. I hadn't noticed how dusty the Commodore looked...

Nice collection there Jackington:tup:, I really need to get an R10, I keep seeing them everywhere!:(

Your mother will be so embarrased that you're showing your dust to the world!

Cleaning isn't one of my favorite past times. :P I'll go over my models every once and a while, though. Besides, I've shown worse things to the world on my binge drinking adventures. :scared:

What scale and how much?

1/18 and it was in with alot of other stuff but it retails at £70 but i got it for around 30ish i think all in.used the shop for the last 5 years and they have did work on some of my models, used to always go up once a month :( gonna miss it.

this is being used as a demo car though.

I'm no photographer but as I was posting some other pics It thought I'd upload this

All 1:18ths, I tend not to bother with road cars (non-racing cars). As you can tell, I'm into BMW's :). The two most expensive there are the FIA GT Mclaren F1 GTR, and the Brabham BMW BT-52, they were about £60 each. The CSL Batmobile is really detailed and probably one of the best models. Still got about 7 or 8 to get before this part of the collection is complete

I'm just curious if someone could direct me to a good US store for some larger-ish (1/18th or 24th, not too familar with what is average) models with good quality? Part of me wants to pick up a good MR-S model and AW11 model, hopefully. Hell, I'd even go for the build it yourself stuff if the casting is good on the bits.

Roo... Don't do that! I'm trying to save up for a holiday, ok?
But the carbon fiber-look does look brilliant close up. 👍

Great BMW collection you have there matski. I'll need to get myself a 1:18 '04 Williams F1 car someday... I just loved the radical nose design that car had.

👍 That car is teh sexorz! Did it cost a hundred bucks like in the link I posted further up?
