Picked this up today on clearance. Box was opened, obviously, and windshield was missing. But I thought the jack, toolbox, tire stacks, and cones would be good for a display. :D
From $6.99 to $1.98.

What the hell is that car?!?

Haha. It's something very cool, a modified Porsche 935.

Jean Claude Rude was trying to reach the world bicycle speed record in 1979 (that's him in the picture above holding on to the bike).

Yeah I'm pleasantly surprised by it.

On other forums they were saying it was the best ever biante model but I wasn't so sure in some pictures but having it now I must say its worth it.

Replacement r18 also came today and going back damage issues again, talking to the shop owner there's been a few coming back.

Thanks for that R1600. Just another car to add to my list. Will have to try finding one over here first. Also Holdenhsvgtsr did you know that, that 87 VL Commodore driven by Peter Brock actually finished the race in 3rd position and was awarded the win afterwards when the 2 Ford Sierra's that finished ahead of it were disqualified. It was also not the same car that Peter Brock started the race in. He started it in his normal 05 Commodore and took over the number 10 when his car broke down.

Yep I have the texico sierra as well, the 10 car was just stuck together as Mobil wanted 2 cars at Bathurst as part of the sponsorship deal to Brock so the 05 car had all the new stuff and the 10 from stuff they had lying around, even the engine which was used in the 05 car for the previous 2 enduros and hadn't been rebuilt , even the livery wasn't done properly just look at the door numbers.

I also have the 75 slr5000, 79 a9x , 82 commodore, 84 vk , 89 rs500 , 91 vn is on order , 97 vs , 2x 03 monaros , the Daytona cobra he died in and a couple of other Brock cars I've forgot just now

Where did you get the Daytona Cobra from? Ive got a few of his cars. I even met him in person a couple of times to get them signed. Have you got his 72 GTR Xu-1?

Don't have the xu1 not a fan of it and the Daytona was custom made by someone I later found it was a well known drag racer in Australia.

@Holdenhsvgtsr: Just out of curiosity, where on earth do you find the space to display all of your models? Does your house have a bat cave or something? Your collection looks amazing.

Hah, couldn't resist myself...

This is probably my biggest haul in a while. And if S18 has any more models I still want in a few weeks, I might do another haul...

They are all stack up in a massive walk in wardrobe type thing and if you think that Daytonas nice you should see this one.

Holden, got any pics of your entire collection? Since you seem to buy more models than even me, your collection has to be bigger lol...
And I dunno if I posted this, but it is from a few months ago:

Don't have a picture of the full collection but I would say yours is more. Most models I do for the cost of one of what I buy would be the same cost as 3/4 of what you would buy.

Hmm, I do tend to find sales, mostly due to models being older. But, I have plunked down some cash on some. So far only 3 have been over $160 USD though. Those being the AA McLaren F1 ($204), AA Nissan R390 ($216), and Spark Dauer 962 ($180). Probably gonna get an AA Pagani Zonda R in the coming months also, along with maybe a TSM Tyrell P34. All depends on if I can find them for below MSRP lol.
