Autoart 1:18 Crystal white NISSAN SKYLINE GTR BNR34 VSPEC...this thing was high, but so worth it.

Very rare Motormax 1:18 NISSAN SKYLINE GTR BNR34 VSPEC, midnight blurple. Shame motormax discontinued they're japanese 1:18 models..they had nice castings, and alot more detail, including felt like material. but they were about 60$ compared to 20$ motomax at the time, now this skylines worth 150$. i bought it in the year 2003 on ebay :)

I like the small details, like how the mesh is perforated.

Fun fact, Autoart and motormax were the only company to ever produce a 1:18 SKYLINE R34 in a normal variant.

Also...some recent purchases..

Yes, that's right, iv'e gone GTR crazy.

Kyosho 1:18 Wine Red R32.

Kyosho 1:18 Gun grey R32.

Kyosho 1:18 Crystal white R32,

I have alot of R32's in 1:43, so i wanted some 1:18's to match. 3 ebbros and 1 kyosho(in 1:43)
though the kyosho are better, since the hood can open, revealing an incredibly detailed engine for 1:43 with photo etching and decal labels.

I'm thinking about getting the Otto M5 in bluewater but just as a sort of investment so that when prices go up I can sell it and get the LMB one. Will prices get closer to the LMB one when all the units are sold?

I doubt it'll reach LMB price levels.

Personally, I think the LMB prices are crazy inflated, and a lot of the eBay listings seem to just sit. Also, I think the LMB one was in a more popular color combo. In some ways, with more M5s out in the market now, I expect the LMB prices to drop a little bit.

I'm also thinking about the Otto M5, but I've got some concerns. They claim that it's a 2000 model, which would make the color Silverstone (which seems correct). However, the 2000 M5 should have the pre-facelift steering wheel along with a 4:3 navigation screen instead of 16:9. Also the M5 badging on the trunk seems a little too high, and the wheel proportions seem a little off...

Should I buy it? Decisions decisions....

It's certainly not a 2000 model with the head/tails and all you mentioned. I'd really only buy it expecting to get the LMB one later on though the costs on this one are pretty good right now
EDIT: the tails don't really look much like either model and the dials are from the pre-2001 model. Now I started looking at the wheels and while they do look well made they also look a tad small, maybe because of the tires

$400 bucks?!?! :eek: Sweet VTEC! I can't afford that, even though I want a Z-Tune R34 1:18 bad, but forget it. I'll wait for a cheaper one or a V-Spec. :(

Torque are you sure you haven't been contaminated with PD's Skyline mania disease, I will send various V8 and V10 cars to cure you :sly:

Can't....resist....the GTR! :lol::sly:

But like they always say, when you play too much GT. :lol:

Had a change of heart with the skoda, now dirtied up to look abit more like the real one.

How did you go about adding the "dirty' effect to the Skoda?
Also, anyone getting the Otto E39 M5? Want one badly and might make a rash move.

Is the white feather-like material on the sides of the car an attempt to recreate a snow surface? If so, the muddy finish on the car will be a bit odd.

Not really as with most snowish rally's it would be slush thrown up on the car but the snow around would still be white.

All these Skylines posted... I should dig through my attic tonight and put up a few pictures of a pretty special R34 some people here will be very jealous of... :sly:

This is nuts. The Otto E34 M5 model has already gone up to 100 Euros in some places. I bought mine for 70...

The Otto web store states it's a 2000 model (and Silverstone instead of Blue Water somewhat confirms this). That's why I said it's suppose to be a 2000.

You're right though, headlights and taillights also don't match correctly.

I need to go back and more thoroughly look at the LMB model to check all the details. If that's a 2000 model also, then it's suppose to be Avus Blue...

I'm really thinking about it, as I'm not sure if anyone else will ever make E39 M5s again. Though I guess it makes more sense to get one now and at worse sell it later on down the road. These models at least don't look like they depreciate.

Pics, Is it the AA nismo BBS wheel option that was only limited to japan and had a run of 100??

I really like that dirty look, if i collected rally cars or race cars, i don't want them to be clean, i want them to look like they were run in. Tell me, is that 1:43 or 1:18?

It's supposed to have the non angel eye lights up front and non Celis at back right?

And if you want one you better hurry I reckon, on CK models it went from 69eur to 79eur a couple hours later, then to 99eur to sold out within the span of 2 days.

Never seen anything sell out so fast. Period.

I ordered it at 79eur but thanks to the absence of their local tax it's less thankfully.

No, it's not quite THAT special, I'm afraid, but it's one that a lot of people here will enjoy. And no, it's not for sale, before anyone asks. Unless you can manage to get me a date with Keira Knightley, then maybe we can talk. :P

Apologies for the complete mess behind said model, I tend to let my desk clutter up...

Funny story with this one, I actually bought it before they came out, and had to wait something like 6 months before receiving it, at which point I had totally forgotten about it. That was 11-12 years ago I believe... Wonder what they're worth today.

Who's Keira Knightley? :confused::sly:

And that is the Gran Turismo Nismo Skyline GTR R34 (non pace car) that was featured in GT4?! Nice, but yes, I'm real jelly here. 👍

But it's far from a Z-Tune R34 jelly. And a Z-Tune or a 400R jelly is something else, similar to a 993 GT2/ 997 GT2 RS and quite a few other cars jelly. :eek: So don't get me started.

I'm surprised at how quickly it went. I went and did a bit of shopping around and was able to purchase one on another site for 69 Euros. That minus the VAT and 10% off from a coupon code I found means that I think I ended up doing alright.

I also ended up buying an AutoArt BMW 635csi race car as it was a pretty darn good deal on that site also.

Now I just need to get the AutoArt E30 M3 Sport Evo and that's it. I'm done. I've spent way too much money on this.

Want 100 for it? :dopey::sly:

*note*: 100 bottle caps of various venders :sly: (I kid)

Anyone know why the Maisto 1/18th scale Mercedes SLR's hood does't open like the real car? I got it at a hobby shop I went to today. I'll post the pics of it tomorrow.
