Some sick news (original article found here):

Kyosho and Ignition are partnering up to make a new line of high-end resin castings in 1:43 and 1:18. They call it: "Headliner".

Kyosho will secure the licensing, and Ignition will develop the models. The line up will focus on non-japanese historic rally & racing cars. Ignition will be 3D-scanning real cars and will hand-build these in low quantities.

The first batch coming this December will be all Alpines of different liveries and colours (I'm only showing a few. click that link above to see more).

In March 2016, there's going to be the following in plain red and a 1985 Tour de Corse livery:

And for 1:18, there's this in Safari 1977 and Sanremo 1978 liveries:

Annnnnd if you happen to be in Japan, go to this year's Shizuoka Hobby Show to see the physical models on display.

I'm here going ham right now.

Ok, here's my shocked face:

And now here's the face I made once I realized what will these car looks like:

I mean, Jesus Christ, Kyosho! Your cars didn't look good enough for you!? Now you're going for the ultimate wallet stealer, there's no way these babies will ever deprecitate. Just those Alpines enough are enough to knock me out, but Stratos? 5 GT Turbos? I mean, how am I even supposed to not say "Have all my money"!? I think not...

Japan's model world, never change.

What is funny is that Ignition was started from HPI's old diecast/resin business they ended a couple years ago. HPI and Kyosho are arch rivals in the R/C world :sly:

Holy hellcats, the Alpine was bad enough but Renault 5 Turbo and a Stratos on top of that? What an awesome trio.

1/43 HPI 1992 Toyota TS010 and Fujimi Lamborghini Aventador

Still need to take more pics of the 458 as well...

Ooh, 1/43 models, neat. Especially that Toyota, it looks really nice. These older LMP cars had simple liveries, but they look so clean and smooth...

I can't display my models for now but at least I can keep collecting. I'll unpack these beauties properly once I move home. I'm waiting for the Veyron Pur-Sang 1:18 next and Maserati MC12 (Dark blue) but few to get till then.

I really loved the Kyosho 1:43 Ferrari collection they did a number of years ago. Who makes Ferrari models as good as the Kyosho ones were? Hotwheels Elite good enough (hard to tell from photos) or is it minimum Looksmart? I looked at Fujimi but they don't cover a lot of the models I'm after. I don't mind if the models are sealed. I need to update my Ferrari collection with models after the 360.

GT Spirit 911 Sport Classic arrived today - need to find time to photograph it. Hefty weight though!

I really like the quality of their stuff, and would like to see them make a 60s 911 coupe.

Mmmm, that Sport Classic looks amazing
I really regret not pre-ordering it...
I also wonder how it compares to the much more expensive Spark version....

Oh man, those Alpines are gorgeous. Especially the rally cars, good god. If those are any indication of what's to come, then Kyosho's newest line of cars will impress many people...

I need one of them Alpines. Bad.
Also ended up pre-ordering an Ignition Datsun 510 in 1/43. Will look glorious with my other 1/43 Nissans from IG.

Also, I don't know how many of you big-toy collectors are into to 1/64 to know that Spark did a small run on said scale to test the waters on how successful they would be with the Deltawing and TS030 models.

It seems they are confident enough to take another step:

Keep refreshing if the pics don't load. I'd have linked the images to imgur if Facebook even allowed it.

Those Kyosho/Ignition 1:43 look truly awesome and everything, but Ignition 1:18, now we're talking.

Holy s:censored:t, THAT is gorgeous. Absolutely, 120% gorgeous. And I bet that the price is not so gorgeous, but still. It almost looks real, with that amount of detail...

As much as I'd like one of those 1/18 Ignition S30 Z's or KPGC10 GT-R's, I'm gonna hold out for the similar AUTOart versions coming sometime in the future. I do have a couple 1/18 Ignitions on pre-order though, a NSX and a FC RX7.
