Damn the two Porsche exoto models i was watching on eBay are ending today, if only my paypal was verified!

Oh man flexo, you should see how much some Exoto models go for... some over $100 each!

el flexo
thats alotta cash!

Heh... daan spent £100 on a Mazda 787B not so long ago, and I know you can get a Sauber C9 in 1989 Le Mans winning livery with a spare chassis for £239... nice if you can afford it.

The most I've spent on a 1:18 is £45 for the Gran Turismo R34 Skyline.

It is. But it's still not on the high end of the 1/18s scale. Exoto, CMC and BBR ranges from $100 to $300 USD each.

And if you think that's crazy, just remember that handbuilt 1/43s (yes 1/43s!) cost more than $300 USD. Collecting diecast models can be very expensive.

Just to elaborate it a little more, Exoto's MRSPs for all their product over the $100 USD mark. So if you can get an MIB Exoto for less than $100 USD, it might be a good deal, depending on the subject matter.

almost bought an Autoart Mazda rx-8 (787 livery, 1 of 3000) but it was £59.99 :indiff: its been sitting on the shelf at a model shop 20 miles away for months and months, might have to save up and grab it.

I've seen that model and I hate it. lol The body I think sits too high up, compared to the real life car.

well the main reason i wanted it was because its a liited edition :)
hsvgtsr: what do you mean the 'proper' lm? if you're referring to the version like that in gtconcept and gt4 that was a fictional car...

What's the name of the shop it's in? I've been looking for the 787B but haven't been able to find it. Hope it's a chain with a branch nearby to me.

Edit: Oh, wait, I read that wrong :dunce: Thought you said he 787B was on a shelf in a shop, not the RX-8 (do'h!)

Check this out (not just the model but the description I quoted):

http://www.gtmodels.co.uk/roadcars-...118-red-hot-wheels-elite-ferrari-f40-1987.php

Description:

Hot Wheels have just announced the new stunning Elite range of cars. These will feature far more detailing then past Hot Wheels models. The Elite brand is being compared to AUTOart quality by Hot Wheels. The Elite range will feature highly detailed engines with wiring and plumbing, carpeted interiors. The Exterior will get a deeper paint finish to finish this excellent model off. The model is 1:18 scale and will measure roughly 250mm (10in) in length.

Interesting that the model has the perspex style window. I really need to see better pics of this cause I want to compare to my Bburago F40 and if better, I'll get this Hot Wheels Elite version. Anyway, just thought I'd let people know about Hot Wheels plans to make near autoart quality models.

Kinda like saying they made Barbie better because she comes with more shoes.
Not that i'm into Barbie or anything, i'm just comparing.

Here's my newest diecast. It's the Bentley Speed 8 #7 2003 24HR LM Winner from AUTOart's Motorsport division. It really sucks that it's a sealed model but:

- the model is absolutely beatiful
- I used a flashlight, and the interior is quite detailed
- significant car, won LM for Bentley in a long time and last car to win in LM-GTP class

Group photo to finish off
