You mean this one?

I'm petting it right now. In fact, I don't think I'll ever let it go :D

I
Hate
You
:grumpy:

That car is the crown jewel of my collection. It is the Minichamps model of the M3 used in the ALMS series in 2001, driven by J.J. Lehto and Jorg Muller. Right after I graduated high school, I saw it in Exoticar's catalog. I literally ordered it before I even noticed the price (which was probably a good thing). After waiting four weeks, it finally came (they screwed up my address twice). But it was worth the wait, and the 10,000 pennies I parted with to get it :)👍

It's from ALMS and it was driven by JJ Lehto? Are you kidding me? I hate you even more now. :grumpy:

Well you did pay $100 for it which a ****load of money, but I still hate you. :dunce:

My own crown jewel is this (pics below). It is a McLaren MP4-18 Test Car which was driven by Alex Wurz in 2003.

It holds a lot of importance, meaning, passion and so on to me. Not only is my name Alex as well, but I've been watching and liking this driver since his early days in F1 at Benetton and McLaren is my favorite team so it means a lot.

You can find a review of it here -> http://www.diecastxchange.com/forum1/index.php?showtopic=30042

just bought this

and this

You'll be glad you got a Classic Carlectables model instead of the Biante one. The Biante car doesn't have as much detail and doesn't sit as nice as the Classic Carlectables car.

iirc the monaro 24hr car was basicly a heavily modified road car?
They were closer to a V8 Supercar than a road car. They had to have the cars original dashboard but it didn't have to be working.
Here is my collection of Monaros.

Notice the extra lever on the gear shift in the Norm Beechey Monaro. It is throttle lever so he could give the engine a few revs when down shifting instead of heel-toeing.
The Poolrite 05 car is a Biante car. You probably won't notice the difference in the photos but it doesn't have as much detail as the other red 05 car or the yellow 427 car.
The blue car is Peter Brock's personal car. Notice the number plate ond the rego sticker.
Sorry about the poor photos. I'm not very good and neither is the camera.

Well my Sauber Mercedes C9 rolling chassis set arrived today and the detail is MINDBLOWING!

Ooooh I'd really like to see some pictures of the Sauber if you could Sting.

I'll be sure to post loads of pictures of my GT LM Spec II when it comes on Wednesday. :)

Is that the No.63 car? How much, and where from? I bought the No.61 recently and was wondering whether I can afford to get all 3 (No.61 was £115) :)

Yeah 63...

Price £210 excluding P&P, for the two models so £105 each. I got mine from eBay after getting lucky and seeing it for sale from an English seller. 👍

Sure, I'll unscrew it out of the clamshell and take pictures of the car and chassis on Monday. I work Sat and Sun, so I'm always tired after work, so Monday pics should be up.

I forgot to post pics of my newest model;

1968 Dodge dart
440 big block
Rear slicks with goodyear whiteletter tyres
Limited: 1 of 504
Hood pins (fiddly!)
working drive shaft (actually turns with the wheels )

Keep an eye on eBay, a very good deal comes up every now and then.

I know, I just missed one. £138 for the same as what Sting just got! And it was just 5 miles from where I work, so I wouldn't even have needed to pay for postage.

Damnit.

Should've got an ebay account earlier, but never got round to it :dunce:

Nice acquistions, twistedspoon!

Heh... no worries. Get a train ticket and pick it up yourself, it'll probably be cheaper than postage ;)

So you'll be this "Lloyd" they mentioned in the Shoutbox at Diecastaholics then?

Edit: the same guy you got the No. 63 from is selling No. 62, if you're after a full set. If Exoto are still doing this, I might - no promises as yet - be selling my No. 61 (and I've only had it a month!).

Yes Roo, that's me. I'm watching a prototype C9 right now, for £110 BIN, but the seller has gone on holiday and hidden the item. I'll PM you the auction when he comes back.

I just bought a new model 2 days ago at a local shop in this mountain resort. It's a Toyota GT-One TS020 '99 #3 "ESSO Ultron". It finished 2nd at Le Mans '99 behind the BMW V12 LMR #15 (which I also have). It's an older model by AUTOart. It's very awesome. Will put up some pictures later.

D*mn, look what I found!

1/12th scale McLaren F1 GT '97!

Oh man, the GT is amazing in it's detail. I'll post some pictures when I get the camera back.

I'm a little dissapointed in the Enzo though, the engine cover is plastic. I now refuse to buy any Hot Wheels model from now on.
