Yes it is.Is that.... a '69-ish Mustang with an XXL widebody?
Can I ask where you found that parking lot mat? I have been looking for a while, but haven't found anything I like.
Got myself a blue one, they are nice.
The lines on that thing, damn that looks sexy!!
I had a Viper GTS like that from Maisto as a kid, probably over 25 years ago. Managed to (very much to my surprise) find it in a box in my parent's basement a few weeks ago.Viper GTS is simply one of the best cars ever made. Simple as.
Other big models I have include...
Bugatti EB110, Porsche Boxster, Lamborghini Countach/Miura, Chevrolet Camaro Z28 60s as well as a Ferrari 512, and two formulas, Ferrari F300 and Williams FW14, to name the most important ones.
Most are by Burago.
Mine is a Burago. It actually wasn't a purchase I intended to make, but one found its way to me through a flea market.I had a Viper GTS like that from Maisto as a kid, probably over 25 years ago. Managed to (very much to my surprise) find it in a box in my parent's basement a few weeks ago.

Nice stuff 👍
That was 21 years agoI've got 7 and a half so far:
A yellow Lambo Diablo
A red Dodge Viper RT10
A silver Beetle RSI
A yellow Saleen S7
A dark grey Jaguar E-type
A grey Shelby GT500
and a 1:16 scale Mini Cooper (1961).
All are Bburago except the Shelby and the Saleen.
The half is a BMW 328i convertible that I found on a road. I think it was run over by a real car.
This is very cool... and crazy how time flies. Guess the Viper and Diablo were the models to have back then.Similar for me too - my first 1:18 was a yellow Bburago Diablo just like @SPhilli911's, but with a spoiler. My second was a red Viper RT/10, also Bburago. Both featured in post #8 of this very thread:

Yes... every time I see these scale models from Bburago and Maisto it immediately reminds me of my childhood, spending countless hours playing with those cars around the house 🥲This is very cool... and crazy how time flies. Guess the Viper and Diablo were the models to have back then.
I still vividly remember receiving the models as gifts. Finding out that we still have them is a flashback. Sadly, my first model (a Le Mans Blue Jaguar XJ220 from Maisto) was not among the models found. It's a miracle any survived so long considering they were stored like this:

Thank you for sharing. I feel the same way, these older models were a big part of my childhood. Similar story, I'd beg my dad for a model each time we went to the store. He was happy to get my brother and I a model and one for himself. I cherish those memories and wish I could go back and thank him.Yes... every time I see these scale models from Bburago and Maisto it immediately reminds me of my childhood, spending countless hours playing with those cars around the house 🥲
When I was a kid I remember annoying the cr@p out of my dad's just to convince him to buy me yet another scale model haha it happened every time we went shopping for groceries and stuff... most of them were small (1/64).
He would always state something like: "... but you already have HUNDRENDS of them!!
And my answer to him was: "... well yeah, but I still don't have this one so... please?"
🤣
Wish I could go back to those days...
