Oh I forgot to mention that I'ts a brilliant idea what you said about how you can play those TT's off line, thought if that indeed is possible, then neither the car or the track doesn't happen online, they are just updated to you console just like that Senna tribute and all that stuff, so the conclusion should be that the servers CAN'T effect on which way the car behaves on any given moment, which should be advisable way to make these TT's work if they want them to be stable.

This thought only bring as to the conclusion that the whole game is glitched and I'll throw the whole damn game out of my house and from now on I spit on to the label PD when I see it!!! :D Ok I'm just joking about that, but do you see my point of how the whole game should be affected by this bug if there is one?
I don't, tbh. As fas as I'm concerned, all offline racing, and carrer stuff work fine, as do the online racing, because it occurs so rarely, and is so small. The only thing it really affects is TT's. Unless of course it is as @DirtyNurbKing58 says, that the host of the room can gain an advantage, thats not fair, but could be solved with different hosts, and the host cannot race.

@et_ the host doesn't gain an advantage, but the physics alter with different servers. Who knows if that affects TT. we'll never know.
if i'm honest, GT6 is a complete mess. theres a problem and its attempted to be fixed which throws up another (while the old one is still present). No wonder Kaz has gave up and now concentrating on GT7. At the end of the day it takes the micky we pay high prices for low quality. GT5 was the best, and i dont think PD will make another GT game that comes close. There will always be problems, its a game, obviously, If your lap is a fluke, it doesn't matter too much, it was still you who achieved it. The top guys 'cough @CRANK_U1 cough' spend many hours a day practicing, so maybe its just setting that lap at the right time. But i do agree with you et, every car is different, and jumping straight on and setting a PB is bad as you wont improve much more. Most racing is mental, so on the other side of the argument it could just be in our head. we'll never know.

I just saw a yellow flash on the right side hand grass when coming to the main straight of ascari, I don't really know where it come from, but never seen anything like it. If my ps is working fine (which I doubt :D) there is truly some instability going on... Damn PD...

yesterday as i was practicing for my series, i was thrown from the room twice. Turned out every single room had gone down

great job guys, this thread is turning into what i hoped :)
Yeah I know what you mean, there's a lot of good information on here at the forum but it's all scattered around so there's a great chance to miss something really important! So if a threat like this works out good, it'll be a great help for very many people 👍

Those texture failures (blank flashes) are quite common, especially when you start the trial. And they have become worse since 1.09.:indiff:

have any of you guys had what seems like a bug on TT's when crossing the line on a lap it freezes a bit then continues, now i know its to like reload your ghosts and stuff but i have had times that i have crossed the line and i see a time then it does its little thing and the time is slower than what you thought i have had this a couple times knowing i was faster though not by much but a few hundredths do make a difference, but funny enough i have saved some of these laps and they are pretty much the length of the time i thought i got...sorry to blab but hope that made some sort of sense....maybe i'm just seeing what i want to see :odd:

Yes, It happens from time to time, but I dont think I've ever lost time on it as the clock freezes aswell...
If you lose time you'd be behind your ghosts at the start, and so far, that have not happened to me:)

It shouldn't effect your time mate. I watched my replay on the data logger a few TTs back and noticed that the guy below me on the LB actually crossed the line before me  I must of frozen slightly crossing the line aswell.

Hey guys, just out of curiuosity, what sort of PS3 are you using and what is your internet connection speed? Also is your PS3 connected directly to your modem / router or wirelessly ? What sort of modem / router do you have ? I have a PS3 ultra slim and I installed my own 500G HD. I have a wireless WiMax connection and a dual band AC 1750 modem router. In our house we run 2 x PS3 systems an xbox 360 , desk top pc , a smart tv, several laptops, several tablets and a few ipods all on the same network. I never really have had any of the problems experienced here ( that I know of  ) I am half asleep most of the time  Sorry, yes the same problem Norm had with time freezing and changing once. Be interesting to see what you guys are running :) Hardware wise and connection wise 👍 Not doubting any one either  I am genuinely interested in your set ups :D
I have had the ghost load problems but that seems to be fixed now ?

Hey @joeledward, Was just reading some forums on GTP here and saw the topic you guys were going over! I do IT work as a network engineer and I saw what Joel had posted and in my opinion (which take it with a grain of salt) is he is on the right track with the questions he asked.. With that said, just from having a general idea of how this worldwide operation functions, his questions are a key role in some of the issues you guys are speaking of and can cause alot of these issues but again (In my opinion) when it comes to the amount of people who play GT6 & the amount of variables that could cause any one of these and other problems when it comes to online gaming is something that will give you an headache for days! lol :banghead: The operation is HUGE to say the least. When your dealing with different style PS3's, or PS4's, older, newer, where you live geologically, your internet connection and speed, what day of the week it is, how much traffic is online?....and I could go on for days! I guess without writing a novel, when we are dealing with so many different variables from the system you play on, up into outer space, and back to earth.. Alot can happen! lol I know I didn't solve or answer any of the problems that we all notice, I just wanted to attempt and hopefully not make things more frustrating, but add in some other pretty major things that could be causing the issues you and others including myself are talking about! Anywho.. Hope everyone is still having fun with the game! lol When your as bad as I am you don't notice these things like you guys do! haha!

The funny thing is @DirtyNurbKing58 wanted me to be a tuner for him!! He sent me a PM last week and asked me and I had to turn the offer down due to the fact that I have been playing Gran Turismo for 7 months TOTAL and I need to be TUNED!.. I knew he was trying to start this before he launched it I believe? I asked people but you know how it goes. lol and all the tunes I have are from my other fellow masterminds on the site! I told them about this and they were interested in helping out with tunes! I will tell them again if you want a tuner or 2 around to help out? Let me know @DirtyNurbKing58

I need all the help I can get and I do enjoy the seasonal events so if ya got room for 1 more @DirtyNurbKing58 sign me up!! lol

Hey @joeledward, I have maybe one of the worst internet connections, 3G mobile broadband. I have it bridged between my laptop and my PS3 slim. It regularly dips from 3G to 2G:banghead:, especially at peak times here in South Africa which is why I spend a bit of time grinding these TTs because rankings registration is possible even on 2G:rolleyes:. Online racing can be a lag induced nightmare with anything more than three players in a room but improves after midnight when traffic is less and more bandwidth is available. I have horror stories of cars fly over other cars and cars floating like space ships through some corners:nervous:. I have been told that 3G mobile broadband is not suitable for online gaming but I just wanted to join you guys on GT6 after having played GT5 completely offline. Great community, thanks:gtpflag:

I play on a PS3 slim on xfinity wifi connection. My TV is a 28 inch BIG BOX low res that's about 15 years old. Yeah there's a few of those big honkers that weigh 100 pounds still out there. Just play with a DS3 controller- from the side of my bed. Old School Ghetto style. Nothing fancy here.

I did 1:21.456 with no aids, I don´t know if it is a good time but it has been one of my bests

That's an awesome time. The #1 Mistake I've made is holding on to the brakes too long on corners one and two- once I made an adjustment to let the car roll a bit more through those two corners my lap times improved. Just brake enough to slow down- roll in- and be quick with the gas. Also the 2nd to last corner can be taken a bit faster than it appears- but it's risky- had quite a few red laps taking it too far there. Best of luck!!

@Stotty Has A brilliant tune for that Ascari TT

X Bow Street
Aero upgrades in body shop (gives 200/300 downforce)
Chassis strengthening
No weight reduction, 125kg ballast @ pos 0
Computer
Racing exhaust
Manifold
Catalytic convertor
High RPM Turbo
Power limiter 95.4 (no oli change)
Should be 359bhp, 915kg , 550ppts
Ride 70 90
Spring 4.5 8.5
Bound 3 5
Rebound 2 4
ARB 3 6
Camber 0 0
Toe -0.10 +0.15
Racing brakes 5 4
Set max speed to min then other gears as follows

1st 3.889
2nd 2.934
3rd 2.405
5th 1.688
6th 1.439
Final 2.600
Diff 5 15 15

Ride height seems to work the right way round on this car at least as there's more understeer with higher front.

Easily capable of low 4's maye 3's in the right hands though only tried it with the wheel.

Edit...

Change at 7,000rpm to stay in the power band. Don't over drive the front end... if the front is gripping properly it will take loads of throttle on the exit, but if you carry too much speed in to the corners you oversteer on the way out. Do not try to drift or back it in to the corners.. takes an age to regain grip once the tyres are red.

Million thanks for Stotty for sharing this, It's definitely competitive tune since I can make a lap under 2:07 almost just by getting it nicely trough that chicane... almost.... heehehheheh... :D

Well just made my best time on the current 600PP seasonal- went from a 1:20.960 to an amazing 1:20.957 LOL!! A whole .003 seconds. From #514 up to #513. Couldn't do that again if I tried. :)

Now i just did 1:21.003, let´s see if I can get it even better...

Ok i'll get all info up later.
If you let me know your times and any tunes i'll add them to OP

Should we post them here or we send them to you by private message?

Like beer, much? Love the sig... 👍
