GTPLMS S2 Round 4 Race - California Wineries Sonoma Grand Prix *RESULTS POSTED*

Times sent .. Dels RX7 completed over 140 laps .. so he's hoping for a podium .

Lewis Hamilton  .. the best thing for F1 since SENNA .. even dropped in to join the 100+ all blonde fan club .

I unfortunatly won't be able to participate in this race. My brake pedal on the GTDriving Force pro gets stuck. Its unfortunate, I was able to lap sub 1'16 laps very consistantly with the Pescarolo but I kept restarting because I would keep wrecking and then one day the brake pedal broke so put me down as mechanical failure...

MDNF for you in both classes Earth...1 pt for each class for trying. Hope things are better for le Sarthe...should be a GREAT race.

So, If I take you right Bud, your DFP pedals are bust!

Just do a search from the main GTPlanet home page, and there is a whole thread dedicated to fixing pedals/wheels etc.

If the pedal moves (doesn't physically get stuck), but the readings 'in-game' are sticking and the brakes stick on.......

It's not terminal, far from it!
You just need to strip them down, clean 'em out, re-grease some bits........maybe replace a rheostat/potentiometer/variable resistor, and hey presto!
Working pedals again.

Well, I see everyone had a few distractions with the excellent Real World racing venue this weekend. Some real talent showing up on the horizon in F1. They finally put on a good U.S race.....I think the fans got to see F1 at it's best since the Senna/Mansell/Prost days.

GT1: I spent some time on this one trying to at least get a decent attempt...a fairly standard 2-stopper with what I feel were some pretty consistent laps, although the tires needed to support the understeer my still put me at a disadvantage. No RM fronts on this puppy, she required RH's only.

GT2: This is where my poor time choices yesterday cost me today.....I didn't get out of court until the last possible minute and had time for one shot only.

It turned out to be a 1-stopper with the typical sloppy slow laps 9 & 10...pit.....then slow sloppy 19 & 20 to finish. So, I must say my GT2 entry will not likely have a hope at a podium finish, in spite of the pole qualifying.

Sorry, if anyone was hoping for a good challenge in this one from the new team.

I hope the best for all of you in you races.👍

"Now lets check out this "100 girl 'all blond' fan club" Delfinio has been bragging about.......maybe they'll like my paint job.💡

Well Darrell, looks like you'll have to peddle a little faster if your fantasy of the mongoose paintjob is ever gonna come to fruition, either that, or you'll have to make sure you submit on time! :D

Well done the podiums and winners (as always). Wish I had managed to complete the GT-One race I had as best effort.
It had a 1'13.6xx fastest lap, and was heading for the top step of the podium (if my calculations are right)
Never mind, eh?
Le Mans! Woo Hoo!

Well, I'm happy with the results! Congratulations to podium racers! I've spent a lot of time here, improving the times :)

But one thing makes me crazy... GT1 result...
Dislike criticizm... But what the hell is going on!? This damn stupid sistem makes all this problems, especially when Chris post wrong set ups...

Just look: Before R3 R I had 582HP in GT1, then after all that I had won R3 Race, so I get (-2) and get a 570 HP car.
Then get nothing in R4 Q so this was my R4 Race set up.
Why Chris have posted a 576 HP for me? And why should I count all this things, when someone is using a sistem, that he couldn't correctly use himself??

I had used correct set ups in the last 3 events, while here were some wrong settings for me in GT1... So Chris dq me for THIS?? WTF???

And the worst that even after all the discussions he is going to use this after Le Mans again... A lot of the racers are against this sistem... But anyway this is going on...

Competition Adjustments have been handed out for the race, and must be adhered to. In PRO, the Audi R8 was given a whopping 45kg weight penalty. GT1 has the Dodge Viper getting a 30kg, while the GT3 and the Subaru CUSCO Impreza has been hit with a 22kg penalty. GT2 has no clearly dominant car and therefore no penalties; although the Mazda RX7 LM will continue to be closely watched.

As a result of this, HP restrictions or additions have been scrapped this round, and the slate is wiped clean. All cars are now running at their original GTPLMS specs.

Read what Chris has written in the first post of the thread buddy.

All power penalties have been scrapped!

Anyway, you ended up with MORE HP than you should have had, so what's the beef?

Did you use the same settings as last race/quali, or did you miss the changes and are now looking for an excuse?
Look at me, for example.
I gained +3 weight, and +1 power. BUT, I was due that power back anyway. However the extra weight didn't help my cause at all.

I won! But only by fractions, and would have been second but for someone 'who shall remain nameless' submitting late.

Now, if only you had read the thread correctly, and taken in the fact that your settings had changed.....who knows?

It's a bitter pill to swallow, but swallow it you must. And learn to read the thread through properly, before starting to race.
I know it may seem harsh, or unfair, but we have all made mistakes in the past and learned from them.
So should you.

Congradulations to everyone, especially those who are satisfied with their performance whether that resulted in a podium finish or not.👍

"Ok...Tyre king!" The joke is on me this time.:dopey: :) :)

I'm not happy that my potential win was nullified by a minor off track "rules infraction" (the 11 minutes it took to get online and type my submission) ....who would be? I didn't get whipped on the track....I lost in the front office. I have to live with that outcome.

But, the paint job obviously worked because 'on track'....the 'Mongoose' was "King", it kept those stinking snakes back far enough that they couldn't get close enough to bite me. And Delfinio's '100 Blondes' fan club said they loved it. So, you'll be looking at the 'butt end' of that awesome carbon fiber black at the next race.

The only improvement that I'll be making is, I'll paint a mural on the rear end so you guys can see it while we're racing on track. You can still see the front mural when I'm parked in front of my garage after the race. :)
