Yeah, hybrid should be excluded, but maybe they should have their own class, I built hybrid cars with only twin turbo setup added - Z33, Z34, 350Z RS, 350GT SP, 370GT SP, NSX Type R, Acura NSX, Lexus ISF, LFA, then Italian cars like Gallardo, Murcie, 458, 599, 430 Scuderia, Germans : SLS AMG, BMW M3, American : Viper GTS, SRT10, Challenger SRT8, Camaro SS, Corvette Z06 ( both model ), Mustang V8 GT, and many more. Maybe hybrids with 1000HP limit and no engine or chassis swap would make things more interesting.
Nothing beats the sound of turbos on these cars

Forgot the mother of all : McLaren F1 '94 Twin Turbo, turbo kicks in from as low as 3krpm to red line, real MR monster.
An amateur recording I made with my Camaro SS Twin Turbo :
I built this car as a "hyper realistic" hybrid, nothing but installing turbo kit system on a car that can't be turbocharged in GT5, but can be done in real life.
Chevrolet Camaro SS '10 with Twin Turbo kit, engine tuning stage 3, custom LSD and suspension, stock transmission, all other upgrades, weight reduction.
The car has 800+HP/6800rpm and 630+ ft lb/6300rpm and weight around 1350+kg, with comfort soft tire and over 610PP, still can be pushed hard at Spa

Enjoy !!! V8 rumble and turbo = EPIC. Time is 2:44.019.
External cam, some slides and close call saves, the car was awesome to drive on comfort soft at 610+PP, no sports tire for this baby
