My cars tune was a ex-rally tune. (small tweaks)

On dirt under-steer works for you if you start a corner wide car works better. (3:12 laps at Akina)

NOTE When is T-max sign up?

Here are my results for T300 👍

Track Setting Used:

Track Grip: Real
Laps: 3
Sector Used: Sector 3 (Twisty Section)

Korza – Honda S2000 ‘01
Sector time:
0:57.252
My impressions: Korza’s AP1 S2000 reminds me of the Spoon S2000 with it’s speed, Grip & rotation. I enjoyed the transmission as it allows for some good vtec sounds, However i did find that it felt a little stiff mid corner which i think is slowing it down a little...
Pros:
- Good Transmission
- Good LSD
- Great power band
Cons:
- A little stiff mid corner
My Score: 99/100

Slender_Man – Subaru Impreza sedan WRX STI ‘05
Sector Time:
0:56.213
My impressions: I’m not a Impreza fan but my WRX inspired by Onboy’s beast is possibly one of my finer cars i have ever made. The Grip, Acceleration & rotation are all spot on. I certainly can’t find any faults with the car...
Pros:
- Great Rotation
- Great Acceleration
- Great Grip
- Good Transmission
Cons:
- None
My Score: 100/100

Ridox2JZGTE – Nissan Skyline R32 GTS25 Type S ‘91
Sector time:
1:00.462
My impressions: A rear wheel drive R32 is a bold choice and was also a tricky car to tune by the feel of it. I felt the speed of this car was good but it was let down by the stiffness of it. I also felt it needed a little more rotation...
Pros:
- Good Exhaust Tone
- Good Speed
Cons:
- Very Stiff
-Needs more rotation
My Score: 95/100

DCybertron – Ford RS200 ‘84
Sector time:
0:58.408
My impressions: Group B rally heritage on the Touge.. Now that is my kind of fun. I can tell that this car has had some serious time put into tuning it as the suspension & LSD work are a near perfect match. I did note some minor understeer in the car but not enough to stop me enjoying the ride. The transmission is good but it needed to be a little longer in the ratios as i was topping out on the main straight...
Pros:
- Good Rotation
- Great Suspension
- Good Acceleration
- Amazing Grip
Cons:
- Tops out on main straight
- Slight understeer
My Score: 99/100

Krenkme – Toyota 86GT ‘12
Sector time:
0:57.134
My impressions: I’ve always liked the 86GT, But i like them more when they have 300Bhp...
I thought the transmission in this new age Hachi Roku was great as well as it’s touring car like sound. I felt the car lacked grip in the turns where it pushed wide on the high speed turns and had oversteer on the exit of the tighter turns. Overall i enjoyed the car but felt i needs a few tweaks to make it grip.
Pros:
- Great Transmission
- Good Speed
Cons:
- Pushes Wide on fast turns
- A little soft
- Easy Oversteer
My Score: 97/100

Onboy123– Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C
Sector time:
0:56.269
My impressions: Onboy knows his Impreza’s and it shows when driving this WRX..
The rotation is insane along with its speed, I found i was getting some grip loss from the rear going into turns under braking, But that only helped it with its exit speed. Great car ;tup:
Pros:
- Insane Rotation
- Great Acceleration
- Great transmission
- Touring Car sound
Cons:
- None
My Score: 100/100

RobRabbitMan – Subaru Imprza WRX STI ‘07
Sector time:
0:57.331
My impressions: Impreza number #3 from Rob is the ’07 WRX and this one packs some grip..
Rotation is good but pulls wide on exits a little bit. Other than that i found no faults with this car...
Pros:
- Good Rotation
- Good Transmission
- Good LSD
Cons:
- Runs wide on Exits
My Score: 99/100

VTiRoj – Scion FR-S ‘12
Sector time:
0:57.380
My impressions: Wow this FR-S looked nice on the Touge!! Way to make a car look like it belongs here Roj 👍 this car had possibly the best transmission i have ever used on this car and the rotation was good. Only thing i did take note of was how easy it was to find the breaking point of traction exiting turns...
Pros:
- Excellent Transmission
- Good rotation
- Fast corner speeds
Cons:
- Easy to brake traction
My Score: 98/100

Wynter92 – Acura NSX ‘91
Sector time:
0:58.472
My impressions: This car feels so natural and balanced that i could feel that this was a daliy driver. Good rotation combined with simple setting i could find only one thing i disliked about this car which was i felt a little soft. Even if this NSX isn’t the fastest in this competition i still enjoyed driving it 👍
Pros:
- Natural feel
- Good Rotation
Cons:
- A little Soft
My Score: 99/100

TanJaM92 – Mazda Mazdaspeed Atenza ‘05
Sector time:
0:58.597
My impressions: This car was an interesting choice and proved to have a great amount of grip from the start. I noticed the car felt heavy which i believe was part of its slow acceleration. I also thought the car needed more rotation.
Pros:
- Great level of grip
Cons:
- Feel Heavy
- Needs more Rotation
My Score: 93/100

JC18137 – Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R VspecII ‘94
Sector time:
0:57.881
My impressions: The only GT-R in the shootout and it kinda left a mark having run tow R32’s in LotS myself i know how these cars act. The Rotation on this GT-R was very good along with its grip, However i did notice some stiffness mid corner..
Pros:
- Good LSD
- Good Exhaust Note
- Good Rotation
Cons:
- A little Stiff mid turn
My Score: 98/100

SolidSnake7735 – Nissan Silvia K’s Dia Selection (S13) ‘90
Sector time:
0:59.481
My impressions: Running an older car is always going to be tough in the shootout, And this S13’s acceleration was very good i felt. Overall i found the car to be quite fun but i found it was quite loose on corner exit’s which slowed it down a little...
Pros:
- Good Acceleration
- Good Rotation
Cons:
- Loose on corner exit
My Score: 97/100

SAPPH – Honda S2000 ‘06
Sector time:
0:57.560
My impressions: This car drives and feels like it belongs at the track & on the Touge... The sound this thing produces as it rips round the sector is great and you can feel that the suspension and LSD have been tuned wisely. I felt the car needed a little more rotation as is some corners i felt i was running a little wide.
Pros:
- Racing car feel
- Good acceleration
- Good LSD
- Good use of Wing
Cons:
- Needs more rotation
My Score: 99/100

BobbyBRAKEaNek – BMW 330i
Sector time:
59.183
My impressions: Bobby is back again with another BMW, But this time he’s brought his 330i to the field. I found the acceleration and rotation of this car were good but it was all let down by how easy it is to get the rear of the car to drift on the exit of the turns...
Pros:
- Good Rotation
- Good Acceleration
Cons:
- LSD needs Work
- Lack of rear end grip
My Score: 94/100

Jackthalad – Mazda efini RX-7 FD ‘91
Sector time:
0:58.828
My impressions: I’ve always found the FD3S to be a pain to tune and after taking out Jack’s FD i can see there’s time well spent here. The grip, rotation and suspension work are all very good, But the dreaded oversteer demons have come to play, it’s not huge but its enough to put you into a nice drift..
Pros:
- Great grip
- Good rotation
- Good acceleration
- Good suspension
Cons:
- Oversteer on corner exit
My Score: 97/100

fbccars924 – Mazda RX-7 GT-X FC ‘90
Sector time:
0:59.721
My impressions: I find that the FC3S RX-7 is a rare sight at Touge due to the tailhappiness of the car, But this FC seems to have had that problem toned down enough for the car to have a decent amount of grip. Rotation is good once the tyres are warmed up and the acceleration is good. I felt the suspension was a little soft at time causing me to run wide in some turns...
Pros:
- Good Grip
- Good acceleration
- Good Rotation
Cons:
- A little soft
- Minor Oversteer
My Score: 97/100

Rotary Junkie – Toyota 86GT ‘12
Sector time:
0:57.592
My impressions: Another 86GT on the touge which i found quite fast with the custom close ratio transmission it had. The grip was ok but the car would over steer is pushed to hard which might be down to it having a stock LSD. I also thought it needed a little more rotation.
Pros:
- Great transmission
- Good speed
Cons:
- Needs more rotation
- Sometimes oversteers
My Score: 97/100

Optomoscrime – Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07
Sector time:
0:57.767
My impressions: I see the local hairdresser spent some money on his Miata  Let’s get serious the transmission is this car has been set very well as you are always in the power band. The engine scream makes it sound like it’s had a Vtec transplant and the rotation is good, However the LSD needs a bit more work i think..
Pros:
- Good grip
- good rotation
- Good Power Band
- Great transmission
- Good suspension
Cons:
- LSD needs more work (Maybe)
My Score: 98/100

I think my car needs to lower the rear aero a bit, since two tester states the slight understeer. All in all, thanks again to all tester. I'm overall glad and satisfied with the result.

Interesting to see the variances in scores, but we generally cited the same problems for the cars. I'm quite surprised I got another 99. I didn't think my car was that great in comparison to some of the other cars. Now, for Mat's reviews..
Maybe we can get on to the finals within the next couple of weeks? Who knows?

Thanks Slender for the review, I made the wrong decision to stick with stock transmission and the car does understeer at times, I was going safe, trying to get as much grip as I can so it won't get too loose at the rear. Maybe the spring is too stiff :)

Next week, if you guys are up for it. ;)

I'll be posting my results soon. Maybe later. I'm in the middle of compiling our results and scores. I'll assign you guys with the cars for battle soon.

I'll probably be available, so it's no problem.

Sounds good.

Nice to see the FR-S scored a point higher than its two Japanese sisters this time.

Wow, a 99? :dopey: Definitely didn't expect that coming.

Just post them! I wanna see how well I've done.

Alright, here's yours: (I'm still working on the others.)

Remember SAPPH's S2000? This car is nothing like that. SAPPH's car is gentle, and is a great car for begginers unlike this beast! This car is an absolute monster and would kill any novice behind the wheel! The car is extrememly enjoyable! The car felt nicely balanced, the suspension and LSD worked nicely together, and the car never stops hugging the racing line! The acceleration is great, cornering is great, and it drives great!

Pros:
- Excellent acceleration
- Excellent balance
- Excellent cornering
- Excellent stability
- Excellent response
- Excellent brakes
- Excellent transmission
- Extrememly enjoyable

Score: 100

:D

I find it kinda funny that this time season2 94/100, 93/100 was what I got in the Audi TT-S season1 T300 so maybe im a consistent tuner lol.

I tune car For me particularly but I change how I drive to suit the car so probably why I never noticed the severe under-steer.

Thanks for pointing it out.

P.S. That RS200 was good fun I liked it, wild cone carver on top gear test track! :P

Also noticed between the Nsx and my Atenza both are in same second bracket (identical time in robs results) make for a weird run-off race. AWD family car vs MR Supercar lol

Selection of the stock LSD was very deliberate, the intention was to fly in the face of everyone running extremely low LSD settings for stability's sake (the GT86 has one of the 50/80/0 monster LSDs) and I do think it meets that target, just a bit too well. A few clicks of rear ARB, maybe a bit less rear spring, and some readjustment of the alignment would probably go a long way towards upping the pace at eleven tenths but I got scared to mess with it after the first test run went as well as it did so I simply broke it in, shuffled the parts around, went from a 3.550 F1 to a 3.730 F1 for slightly longer gears, tested it, noticed the understeer. Added a little front camber, suddenly, oversteer. Added a little rear camber and it calmed down nicely, end result being what you see now. I might build a spare car to do some more testing with but on second thought... A 300hp GT86 is absolutely useless away from the touge. Good to drive but hilariously slow, at least at Trial.

Yup. That's pretty accurate, I'd say. I could improve the front turn in quicker still with an LSD adjustment it seems, but then you'd hit the inner wall every single time you cornered. And that's another 100 in the bag.

Also, side note, Slender, if there's anything that I learned from tuning your Evo, it's that PD probably messed up big time with the pace, since I've got 15 more PP to play with, more power, and I'm still slower than I was in that Impreza.

Hahahaha, indeed, my car is quite gentle since I tune with DS3, and I have to adjust the LSD towards softer side, to avoid wheelspin and oversteer too much. And the stock gear ratio is great for beginners. I have another exact copy of the car, but with harder LSD and a tight gear ratio. Is just that I kept it for myself though. Probably for next T300 session.

But mine is still the fastest of the three... of that means anything :dopey:

And we're both faster than RJ. :sly: Funny thing is, the reason why I'm slower is the reason why I can score some extra points. Although I forget which counts for more in this contest, points or lap times.
