Hei
We had a unlimited season on sh tires. Was hilarious. Veyrons on the Touge and what not.

This is new. I'm gonna try it on my 500+hp R34 later today since I was looking for something enjoyable and hilarious to do on a touge run. Thanks man.👍

That would of been me in the Veyron on SH Tyre's
Power slide out of every turn trying to lay down 1180Bhp on them Tyre's :sly:

Ok…After fiddling with the the diff's initial torque settings, I've got the Impreza turning somewhat quicker. What worries me now is that I've gone down the wrong path with a stupidly quick car which only knows how to blast lap records apart, with no driving feel to it at all…it'll be another gamble, hopefully it'll pay off properly this time.

Thought I should bring this up in hot version the code of touge:
#1: Power isn't everything!
#2: One mistake can be fatal.(don't really apply to GT5 could mess with your time a bit.)
#3: Choose the line without dirt and leaves (kinda don't apply either)

Keiichi Tsuchiya's words

You touge guys are a bit…daft, though.

I usually run SH up to 800hp, it's so much fun controlling such powerful cars with the wheel. If it were up to me, even TMax would be running SH as it makes the shootout more about tuning than car choice. The GTR's benefit from SS tires more than most other cars. Maybe that's just me wanting to avoid TMax from becoming a GT-R festival.

Ok, I take it back, you lot are just masochists. You'd never get another car from the track tuners with any more than 400hp if you had TMax at SH.

That's the part that gets to me. If road cars having horsepower in excess of 500 (see Aventador, most Ferraris, any Lamborghini newer than the Miura, McLaren F1, MP4-12C, V12 Vantage, M5, GT-R and many more) come equipped with SH tires in stock form, then why the fear of tuning and running them with those tires to get the absolute most out of them? I don't want to say its because of a lack of skill, as I'm certainly not an authority on that, but I can safely assume its because of you all overzealous for the win.

Who am I to judge anyone's reasons for entering the car they do? All I'm saying is of TMax becomes a GT-R contest, count me out.

Edit: This reminds me of this one guy who challenged me to a 600PP Wangan race. The lobby was limited to 400hp and everyone was having a good time. Except this guy who complained there wasn't enough power and he couldn't keep up. We removed the limits and he brought out a 3000hp EK9. Subsequently, I reported and kicked him. He sent me ranting messages about how I'm the whiny one and how he would destroy me at 600 PP. He was so confident of himself and swore he was much better and faster than I.

So on a different day I accepted his challenge and was gonna run him in my R33, and in d-bag fashion this dude brings out a detuned TVR Speed 12. I decided against racing him and lost all respect for him as a tuner (he bragged on about how good him and his team are, and supposedly they all run Speed 12's).

Nope. To be honest, we don't tune high power cars on sport hard tyres because it's just too time consuming to get the thing drivable, and the skill required to drive them means that very few people would try the tune anyway. Simply put, it's just not worth the effort. At least, that's how it is for me.

I just try to get the high powered car suitable for both Radials(SH), S-Tires(Sports Medium or Soft) and Slicks(Racing Tires) even if it take sometime to fool around with but that's what tuning is about. And we have our own opinions/taste so I don't wanna be biased or anything. Just drive what matches you.

When what you should be trying to do is get the video done and dusted with. :P

Hey 🤬 Don't you think I know that I'm late on schedule? I understand that I'm late for uploading the final part but, every time someone reminds me, it just pisses me off and don't you also notice I got school too? So I can't really do much. The teachers are pushing the students to do more work this week and I'm trying to do my best to get it upload as quick as possible. I understand you don't intend to sound rude but I can react differently and I'm really stressed out.

Not just purely skill, but mostly also the general view of people that stock tire and lower grip tires ( comfort ) are useless and too much for 500+HP street cars/supercars.

That TVR guy would not survive long in my practice room  I had several practice session with some of GTP members here, we had Daytona Road with comfort medium ( like always ), and most of use drove 500+PP cars and no ABS ( room restriction) :) Some folks joined up and crashes on 1st turn, then demanding for higher grip tire ( SS or RH ) + ABS + TCS ... I said if the majority of other drivers can do it, why don't you give it a few more laps ... some do left without saying anything :( I drove stock McLaren F1, F40, Cizeta, etc on CM, can do low 2 minutes at the track consistently, a GTPer here even drove max tuned Yellowbird on CM + no ABS !!! He pulled several clean laps to boot. Some of them were worried about room settings, but so far those who are willing to adapt, they said they enjoyed the session and happy with the benefits of having to be smoother with throttle, brakes and steering.

We do have races when the whole room agrees, I usually allowed SH tires, and most of them stunned by their car when migrated from CM to SH ( as it should be like in real life  )

Skill is important, but experience goes a long way, having more miles with lower grip / stock tire helps too.:dopey:

That's the reason I take so long when tuning my cars, since I not only run hundreds of laps at different tracks but I also take battle data from touge session into account for tweaking the most minute details of the suspension, drivetrain and transmission (when I employ its use).

For SS tires, I feel there's some driving feel and driving joy lost because of the added grip. That's just my personal opinion, not saying that my methods are the only ones that matter.

That being said, my T300 entry has been chosen and is being tuned collaboratively by the tuners at TheCardboardBox. I won't reveal what it is, but I can say it's not a 4WD Turbo, nor is it an FD or S2K. I'm running 3:08.xxx at Akina with ample room for improvement. Sure a better driver can net faster times.

True to that. I always host a room with SH or SS tires, mostly on 450PP to 550PP. People will always leave after a lap. But those who stays really know their racecraft and indeed, experiences goes a long way. A very enjoyable moment, truly memorable. I haven't join any CM or CS tires room since I've only seen a drift room with those tires. If I found your online room, sure I'll be join.

Back on the topic, I guess a TMax class with SH can be quite a challenge but can be very rewarding. +1 to that, and if TMax use SH, count me in also.

I'm also not fond if the TMax is cluttered with GT-Rs.. :scared:

@SolidSnake that sounds a bit slow for T300...I mean aren't the top T200 cars doing 3:08s?:odd:

My interim T300 tune is running low 2:54s and I'm somewhat rubbish around Akina.

Hah? What the hell car is that? This might sound really stuck up and such, but I've not seen a car that laps Akina faster than my Impreza for T300. I'm running 2:56s, and yet you've found a car that, in your hands can run 2 seconds faster? I'm suspecting a R1, but tuner cars are banned...unless you got a MR2 or something...

Throw it on share. Nao. I need to drive it.

My bad, it technically doesn't exist. Yet. I accidentally mistook another laptime as one that was set by my T300 tune.

@fbcars, I had a look at your FC tune and it can't be entered in any class, it has Stage 3 Weight Reduction.

Quick question, my 900BHP Brap-box Volvo (240GLT powered by a R26B rotary) is illegal, right?

If it's a hybrid, it's illegal.

Phew…had me worried there.

Well what do you think, smart guy?
