Why you'd order a daiquiri when you could have a good marguerita instead, I'll never understand.
maybe because daiquiris are made with rum, and margaritas are made with tequila?
I don't drink either. Rum doesn't like my stomach and I once had a heavy episode with tequila and ever since I can't even smell it. I've always had an issue with it, as I repeat it often... (repeat: spanish slang for when you eat something and every burp you have for the following day tastes like it).
When I was a kid, we could order non-alcoholic daiquiris... then again, I lived in a tropical country, so anything with rum was pretty common.

I wonder if you could make a 'lime'n'cello'?
I don't think it's that hard. According to the guys at the restaurants it's pretty easy. You just have to buy a litre of pure alcohol at 100% (for human consumption), 2 litres of water, concentrated lemon and sugar... they didn't say how long it's supposed to ferment, but again, I'm sure the result will be pretty heavy.
oh, 'lime'n'cello'... now I get it.

What's people's opinions on premium vodkas over the cheaper stuff? Can you taste the difference between a drink made with Popov over one made with Ketel One?
According to my uncle (who drinks about a bottle of Absolut every week), you might taste the difference, but you really
feel the difference the next day. Cheap vodka will give you an impressive hangover, while the good stuff will make you feel nice.
Personally, I prefer good vodka, since it's not as dry as the cheap ones.
