Recently discovered Yamazaki 10 year old Single Malt.

Really impressive, especially for a 'young' single malt. Can't wait to try a 12 or 18 year old as the slightly artificial fruitiness of the 10 y.o. (or so some experts think) is much more tempered in the older ones.
I've also just bought a bottle of Ledaig as a replacement to mix with ginger ale, instead of my usual bottle of Whyte & Mackays blended. I know it's a bit sacrilegious to use a single malt as a mixer, even a cheap one, but the strong smokey, peat taste cuts through the ginger and really compliments it.
It's not quite as overpowering as the similar Laphroaig but still has that distinctive love or hate it smokey aftertaste.
