*Returns from week in Portugal*

Bag head, adapted to (cooking) Pot-head is a vicious but highly enjoyable game. I recomend it!

One of my personal favorites would have to be the Vodka+Sprite, those 2 really go well together :).

I'm a beer guy, but I can drink vodka drinks sometimes as well.

Agreed, and squeeze some lemon in there! 👍

For those of you in Kansas and Missouri:

I'm not a vodka drinker, but we seem to have a distillery here in Atchison that is producing what is considered a very good vodka, called Most Wanted.

They are also producing a bourbon whiskey called Pioneer Whiskey.

The distillery is called High Plains Distillery.

The Whiskey is rather sweet, and tastes like it could be aged a couple more years.
Not the best I've ever had. It IMHO has great potential.
Right now I think it is only suitable as a mixer.

We'll have to celebrate SFGTP4 with a couple of those :sly:.

Flavored vodkas and Sprite/7UP seem to go really well together. Vanilla and Coke is also one of my personal favorites .

Wild Blue Blueberry Lager isn't even bottom of the barrel.

It's only saving grace is the 8% ABV, but then again I spent like 7 bucks on a 6 pack so I may as well just get a 40 of Steel Reserve if I want to get drunk. Really tastes like someone poured blueberry juice into bud light or something. Truly horrible. Managed to get through the first four bottles over the course of a week, but haven't been able to finish off the last two yet. I open the fridge and they just stare back at me. Some day, Wild Blue, some day.

Dogfish Head makes some nasty raisin ale. My friends and I tried it for fun, and between the bouts of gagging, we played a spirited round of "I would rather...than drink more of this beer." I don't remember exactly what the winner was, but it was certainly not postable here :).

Like any Dutch guy, my favourite drink is beer.

Since Holland is the home of Heineken and i am a sensible guy, i mainly drink Belgian Beer ;)
Leffe Blond is my choice.

This is good stuff Klos:

Atlantic Brewing Co.'s Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale. But like most microbrewery offerings, it's usually best-served at the brewery itself, and the taste differs if you're trying it elsewhere. It's usually quite good though!

Allow me to snag a little local pride for a moment. If its not made in Kentucky its not bourbon anything.

Hang on, I said that wrong.

Technically, bourbon can be made anywhere in the US, but us Kentuckians refuse to accept that.

Yeah, I've had a few blueberry lagers/ales before that were pretty good (Whachusett springs to mind). I thought I'd give this stuff a try and what a mistake. It's an Anheuser Busch product, which I later found out. Probably best to stick to microbreweries with these specialty beers.

Good looking, exige.

It used to be that only Kentucky Bourbon was actually "Bourbon", by Law.
Now it's all about aging and new oak barrels.

And truthfully, Pioneer is whiskey (made from an old family moonshine recipe). Not bourbon. My bad.

i forget if i posted in this thread already, but:

here are my drinks of choice:

Sapporo-10/10 real hardass beer. it was also my first which means i was drunk on my ass, watching Harold & Kumar go to White Castle(which, by the way, that's the BEST movie to watch high/stoned/drunk/wasted.), and eating cheese doodles(and yes, they were japanese, and they tasted better after the 2nd bottle of beer... Cheddar? more like 2-year-old Swiss...). overall, a really flavorful, really strong, slightly spicy, almost unnoticibly sweet beer. it's a great pick for anyone, in my opinion

Kirin-4.7/10 a bit like Sapporo, but not as good... i can't describe it, it just sucks in a non-explainable way...

Asahi-7/10 (no, there is no pattern, i just like Japanese beer...) even though it's about as popular as Bud Light(which, i don't drink... it LITERALLY stinks.), but i kinda like it

Starbucks Coffee Liqeur-10/10 it's Starbucks. and it's alcohol. and it's Starbucks. mix it with a Jones or Dr Brown's Cream Soda, and you're set. (makes what i call a Coffee Buckshot. get a shot of Espresso, and you have an Espresso bomb.)

Ghirardelli Chocolate Liqeur-9.9/10 see above, only replace "Starbucks" with "Ghirardelli".(again, same as the Starbucks, but makes what i call Sweet San Francisco. + Espresso shot = Mocha Bomb... i'm drinking one right now, and i'm tipsy and hyper at the same time... and an hour ago, i had another--this is my second-- i tried to ride my new Vespa, but a cop stopped me before i even got on... i wasn't drunk, just merely tipsy! takes a lot to make me drunk...)

Korbel-5/10 very weird... makes you feel like this afterwards(yes, i know it's an inanimate object):

[EPIC FAIL="4,000,000"]p.s., those Espresso Bombs and Mocha Bombs will seriously get you drunk and on a caffeine high at the same time... NOT THE BEST COMBINATION EVER...[/EPIC FAIL]

Leffe Blond is my choice.

Heineken is usually my beer of choice, but as far as Belgians are concerned, I'm a Stella guy. Then again, I just bought (another) pack of Sam Adam's Boston Lager. For some reason, its the best "affordable" beer you can get, although I'm told that Amber Brock and Marzen are good as well. I'll have to try...

I cleared a half-liter sixpack last night of the Israeli local cheap stuff, Goldstar. Was pretty decent, actually, for the second-cheapest stuff on the market. I like it more than Heineken, at least.

Which Kirin? I think Kirin Ichiban is right up there with Sapporo, but a huge stainless steel can (Sapporo) will beat out any others any day.

Just wait until you see my Petit Le Mans pictures.

What is it priced in Michigan? In Kentucky it runs in the similar price range as other crafts and cheap imports ($5.99-$6.99 for a six-pack, $10.99-$12.99 for 12 - prices vary by store).

I am not a huge fan of regular Sam Adams. It is a bit too hoppy for my tastes, but I love a lot of their seasonal brews, particularly their Summer Ale, White Ale, Octoberfest, and all of their Christmas blends, minus the Cranberry Lambic. Cranberry Lambic tastes nothing like a proper lambic. It tastes more like a cranberry flavored lager :yuck:

Believe it or nt, I've got a reputation on the line and I' willing to bet any drinker would lover this piece. Come on up to my place and I'll gove you a test. I promise!

My uncle got a keg of Stella on Thanksgiving. It's good, but I think he needs to add a bit more gas.

So I was bartending yesterday and this guy asked me to make him a drink. Equal parts diet coke and cabernet. Seriously, guy?

ugh... I hope you charged him triple.

Once while bartending a guy asked me for southern comfort with orange fanta... no ice.

A nice bartending story included changing the name of the screwdriver for just 'screw'. Add more vodka than you should and you have to drink it slowly, hence, the 'slow screw'. Add some Southern Comfort and you get a 'slow comfortable screw.' Finally some Harvey Wallbanger and you get a 'slow comfortable screw against the wall.'

...or something

Diego - you should've actually called him on it. Although I work at a coffee shop, I totally bitch out customers all the time on poor drink selection. I don't fancy myself to be a conaisseur in the barista profession as much as of the alcoholic stream, but I still know where the pretentious picky poseurs lie compared to the real coffee afficianados. I let them know when I'm in a bad mood. It really doesn't bother me if the great mermaid empire loses a fake customer...

"Triple Mocca with 1/3rd Espresso and no milk-foam" types? I actually had a customer, back when I worked at McDonalds, that asked me for "A medium-rare Bigmac without pickles, extra tomato and Royal sauce" - WOMAN, IT'S A MACCA, NOT A GRILLHOUSE!

I knew a totally wacked out girl who would go to Mickey D's every day for a quarter pounder without bread. I think she would have them use a piece of lettuce instead of bread, and then put like a pound of mayo on top. She also collected finger and toe nail trimmings in giant mason jars.

It's actually a "Slow Comfortable Screw" because it has a shot of sloe gin in it, not extra vodka. They're actually pretty good, even if they did launch the whole Drinks with Sexual Innuendo Names craze. At least this one makes sense, unlike the legions of moronic followers.

And you add Galliano for the "...up against the Wall" part, because Galliano is the chief ingredient in a Harvey Wallbanger.

Considering that Galliano tastes like licorice, I think "Harvey Toilethugger" would be a better name, but apparently some people like it.
