Welcome enthusiast, this is a thread solely dedicated to the vintage fore runners of the auto and motorsport industry. It doesn't matter what the make or model is, ex. 1970 Honda or Abarth, they're both welcomed. You can post pics, vids, and info on any vehicles from the 1900-1970s, pre and post WWII vehicles will very much be appreciated. Their's some exception to rare 80s vehicles, we will not be nitpicking, content is always good even though it may not fit the criteria 100%. Yes, classic American Muscle is permitted and expected as well. If its a modern car relating to a classic or vintage model thats also acceptable. To keep the search feature convenient try to add the name and year of the vehicle(s) you're posting (if you can, if you don't know the year and all don't worry about it). You may post as many pics and vids as you want, the more the marrier. There will be no spam in this thread, if you're not contributing content or commenting on the subject at hand don't comment at all. With that being said let see what you have! Heres a few things to get us started:
This happens to be the most recent car I've fell in love with. Not only because of its retro Sci-Fi Super Villain looks, but also because of the way it engine functions. This is the Voisin C20 Mylord Demi-Berline. It was created by Gabriel Voisin, a previous aircraft designer who left the industry in pursuit of more artistic routes. This is only one of his creations from that transition.
This engine is one of the most complex from its era. A sleeve valve V12 which instead of having valves poping open and close like our conventional engines, it has moving sleeves that surrounded the piston to uncover intake and exhaust ports. This was supposedly more efficient allowing high speeds with less stress in oppose to a push rod engine and also gave a quieter ride. Also notice how the belts are made on this engine (left hand side of pic) and the beautiful wood grain of the radiator fan . Now thats attention to detail you will not find in any modern auto. I have more content on the way, I just have to take the time to index somethings so I get all the names and years right.
