Yeah, I should have added that bit with e-sport. A few of the mods there are "illegal" conversions.

The pilsbierbude auto-updater was good, although it looks like they're wanting donations to keep it going. Mine hasn't updated anything the last twice I've ran it.

I can't install the PnG mod. The game starts with all the PnG menus etc but I don't have PnG cars, only GTR2 cars.

I've recently started in on GTR2/GTL, and I am having a blast. I'm using a Logitech Driving Force GT (The GT5 wheel). Once I installed the DFP drivers (apparently the only way to fool the PC to utilize the full 900 degrees) I was having a great time blasting around tracks like "Machwerk" (fantastic, one of my favorites, if not my favorite track), "Limerock Park", and of course the "Top Gear Test Track". I have downloaded and installed quite a few mods, and have had very little problems. However. I screwed up the sound files trying an experiment, so I uninstalled the game and reinstalled. This is the second time I have had to do this (I backup my files before modding now). This time, for some reason, GTR2 is not recognizing the full 900 degrees. Only about 200 degrees. I have looked through all the settings in game, and could not see where I had a setting out of place. I have my Logitech Profiler set to 900 degrees (or around 730 degrees sometimes), yet it still won't recognize the full range of steering. I've tried restarting the computer. I've unplugged the wheel, replugged it in, and let it recalibrate. Not sure what else to do. Anyone have any ideas?

The GTR2 and GT Legends games feed off of the windows calibration. So if its not working in the game, it may not be working outside of it either. To properly set it up, I would recommend searching online at logitech's website for their lgs (logitech gaming software) 5.0.2 and it should include the DFGT wheel as I think its a recent release. You can try googling it too. But do look in the properties of the controllers section in the control panel and see if it will allow you to steer properly and 'if' the DFGT does 200 and 900 degree modes, try changing it before you enter the game. Thats about all I can think of, hope it helps cause both games are great (GTR2 is more like GT4 and GTL is uber-hard to get really fast with imho).

Unfortunately there still doesn't seem to be any drivers for the DFGT for the PC. Polyphony said this wheel would have more of a focus on consoles, unlike the DFP which worked almost flawlessly with most all PC games. So the DFP drivers are working fine thus far. The only problems being the extra buttons on the DFGT are not supported. Hopefully soon they will come out with some new drivers that will allow all the buttons to be programmed.

UPDATE:

I don't know what I did. I deleted my old GTR2 profile from the Logitech Profiler. Started a new profile. Set the settings to the same way they were before deletion, and voila.... I'm back in the saddle again.

On a different note... Any new mods/tracks/etc... that I should be looking out for? I have quite a few off www.nogrip.com.

I have to say I have been having a lot of fun behind the wheel of the "Daily Driver" cars (Daily Driver Mod)(You need "WTCC 2.0", and "Alfa Vs. BMW" mods installed first), which includes the Alfa 156, E30 M3, E46 M3, Seat Leon, Seat Cupra, and Accord Euro R in stock paint/specs. My favorite of which being the E30 BMW M3. I lost a few hours the other day trying to improve my time on the 2008 Nurburgring (downloaded from www.nogrip.com). Great fun.

The Ford Capri is a ton of fun as well, and what an engine note.

I am in the market for some new tracks. Any suggestions?

I have Machwerk (great suggestion daan), The Ring, Grand Valley Speedway, Lime Rock Park, various LeMans versions, Pikes Peak, etc, etc....

There's your problem.

A lot of mods are not compatible with online modes. You may have to reinstall, and pay close attention to which mods you install. If you read the comments under each download on "nogrip" you will see people complaining of online problems. If that's the case, don't download it.

last week I started up GTR 2 for like the 200th time. but this time something was different. all of the cars were black. like the outside, the rims the interior, everything. no decals either and i thought it was extremely weird so I figured why not ask someone about it. can anyone help me?

Sorry to bring up a fairly dead thread but does anyone have a solid download link to the ALMS 2007 Mod. I really want to play with the 997 GT3 RSR, which I have found a Manthey skin for too

EDIT: Has anyone got an E30 BMW for download too, that would be nice!
