Whatever it might be, my procrastination/boredom levels went so high I went and made my livery for it.

At least that'll be easily recognisable to 99% of everyone to have entered any of these B-Spec series ever

Nope, I'm not giving you the name of the car just yet.png

Because I'm too lazy to make fancy graphics for this, you'll just get the ingame screenshot:

Fastest laps.jpg

..because fastest non-BMW :D

There's the possibility you're well down at the bottom of that list, which isn't seen in that shot.

This.

Too lazy to do more than just the top picks.

Full video of everything hopefully either Monday or Tuesday (if not by then, it'll be almost a week until I can finish it up). I am kinda lacking some reference points, though, so I may go lazy-mode sometimes and just guesstimate the lap count if it's somewhere in the middle.

Tis good to see Ricardo Llosa (yes he has a first name) continuing to do well.

Also the car in question from @rallymorten and his pictures is the Vanilla Lotus Elise that is in the Spa 24 G3 class. Also that website needs some content..

1:

...

GAWD DANGIT

Why can't I keep things hidden?

2: Very much still W.I.P.

1: You underestimate our ability to discover secrets, Danish Freddie. Also, you made it a bit too obvious with those teasers.

2: W.I.P or not, it should be a fun spin-off all things considered.

And Lady Une better get me a phone, because I f:censored: called it! :D

For the 69th time, it's Freddy

1: Well, the point of a teaser is to sort-of give it away, but I would've liked for you to keep guessing just a bit more :D

2: You know that's the website teased on my livery-kinda-reveal picture we're talking about, right?

3: No call.. liek if u cri evrytiem :(

In other news, editing and voicing done for Barcelona. Now just waiting for the video to be finalised so it can be uploaded.
Secondary series official reveal hopefully this coming weekend.

Well, I'm no FNAF specialist, gimme a break, will ya?

1: I guess someone already had a good knowledge of GTR2 cars, and didn't need to do much guessing in order to get it right. What can I say?

2: Website? "checks numberplate" Oooh, that's what it is. Funny, I didn't notice that one. Well, I have to check it out.

3: Such sadness, much angst. :(

Also, hopefully I can see more of my car this time around in Barça, so far my career has been rather lackluster...

Welp, new livery but the same result; I remained invisible throughout the entire race. I know Barcelona was meant to be a BMW race anyways (high speed is its strength after all), but I could've at least share the spotlight with the top Ferraris.

Also, it was hard to keep up with all them lead changes, eh morten? And plenty of repeat overtakes to boot...

That moment you realized you finished behind the dank tank

Started good but it seems like I just went off as the race went on. If only I could finish higher

Bah! i want first! second isn't good enough!:P

Btw, for future reference, Nagato is a she, not a he. :dopey:

Shortly after winning the second race of the season Tim Kourting was interviewed before heading to the podium. Here's what was said:

Q: Tim after a rough first race of the season what's it like to get the win here in Barcelona?

A: Words can't express how good this win feels. It feels like forever since the team got our first win.

Q: Tim you recently ran in the 24 Hours Of Le Mans. What was that like?

A: Well I've ran a few Le Mans races in the past but this one felt different the Aston Martin I drove felt amazing. Swift Autosport prepared an amazing group of cars for the race. Just a shame we couldn't get the win.

Q: Last question then we'll let you celebrate with your team owner. You're 9th in points leaving Barcelona do you think you can continue to take the fight to the BMW's with your Swift Autosport teammate G. Fonseca-Vargas?

A: It's a very good possibility that we will continue to take the fight to the BMW's.

Well there you have it Tim. Kourting feeling good after winning the race here in Barcelona. We'll see you in a few weeks at Spielberg, AT.

OH YA FEELS GOOD TO GET THE WIN.

Right, I've got good and bad news:

The bad news are that round 3 is being postponed, partly because I won't have as much time this coming weekend as I'd like.

The good news is that another reason for the postponement is another major spec overhaul.

I've decided to go against what I've said before about changing the draft values and stuff.

All cars now have the draft values of the Porsche (in an attempt to either bring that up to the others' level.. or bringing them down to Porsche level.. you decide which explanation works for you). I've also done my very best to make the power/torque curves as similar as possible (like I think I've said earlier, copying just about anything from one engine to another just about breaks more than it fixes). I'll be doing further small adjustments and testing them out over the weekend.

Pity about the round 3 postponing, great to hear that it has a purpose behind it; I still say you deserve a medal for all the work trying to balance these three cars, as different as they can be. Of course, we have to see one or two races (especially races in different types of tracks to be sure). The last thing we want is to break something that was never broken in the first place.

Still, good luck for the weekend, and good luck for "Rebalancing 3 & 1/2: Freddy's mad search for balance". 👍

I like to joke around about the balance of performance thing, but you really are putting forth an incredible effort to keep things as even as possible. Of course, the only way to make things perfectly even would be to have the cars all drive/handle identically, but then you lose part of the essence of sports car racing: brand identity and the strengths and weaknesses among the different platforms. Kudos to you, and I hope it works out! 👍👍

When you say chaging darft values of the Porsche, did you decrease the Aero Drag in the .HDC for the 911? Or did you look at the draft values you used in the series's .GDB file and just increase the BaseDropoff?

Right now, what I've done is copy everything draft related from the Porsche's .HDC to the others. I'm testing pretty much every possible option, though.

Time for another progress report.

I've undone what I've described above and instead adjusted the drag for the entire carset as @Crashbroke23 described. I've also lowered the rear downforce on the BMW and Ferrari in order to both make them go faster on the straights (where the Porsche has been quite the dominant force, believe it or not) and to slow them down in the corners (where they usually had more grip than the Porsche). This should, I hope, make them so reasonably similar that it might as well be those natural differences where trying to even them out will just break the balance further.

Also, this:

Lightweight GT.jpg

All further information I can give right now is that the numbers used here must be in the 100's, e.g. if you wanted to use no. 69 (such kinky), your number should be 169. Why? For now let's just say because reasons.

Templates (available in both .psd and .pdn formats) can be downloaded from the link in the OP (same place as you downloaded the templates for the main series), and the carviewer files can be found in the new downloadable also found in the OP.

The forms for signing up and setup submission are still W.I.P., but should hopefully be done by the end of the week and should be launched alongside further details on tuning and test sessions.

I'd like to point out that changing the value that you probably did for decreasing the DF in the BMW and Ferrari, RWLiftParams=, doesn't actually do anything in accordance to Aero Drag; that's all in the BODYAERO section of the .HDC. So in all fairness you just made those two cars slower than you intended.

Nope, this was actually done by changing the RWSetting (i.e. for those that don't speak GTR2 coding, changing the default setup - the one the AI uses). Possibly easiest maybe-fix I could find because there's no tuning

You did see what happend when you lowered the wing settings for @Earth 's LM24 right?

Should we also sign up the Lightweight GT Series too? Or can we sign up just one of the series (Race GT or Lightweight GT)?
