Although I understand where you are coming from and agree with most of it. The fact is that had you read the rules to the competition you have entered properly, you would of understood what us and isn't classed as track. If you weren't sure having read the rules a steward would of opened a room with you to show you the track limits. I really think this should be case closed now. If in the future you are unsure of track limits, any of the stewards will show you on request.
That's fair enough twisted. As I said before, I did read the rules and the rules are open to interpretation. I never would've dreamed that the level of cutting that GTP_Nissen got away with would be allowed by the OP. Which is why I drove as fast as I could whilst never letting my car have all 4 wheels over the white line at any time (in accordance with normal motor racing rules)
It doesn't really make much difference now anyway. GTP_Nissen's times are obviously deemed clean and my laps (and quite a few other people's) were slower because we stuck to normal, common sense motor racing rules.
I'm happy for this to be case closed now too. I hope none of the stewards or anybody else is being offended by what I've said. I've simply been pointing out what any body who follows motor racing would agree is a valid point. Cutting to THAT degree would not be allowed in real motor racing so it shouldn't be allowed in online racing either, especially for a game that strides to be "The Real Driving Simulator"
As I said before, I respect the stewards' decision. I'm also very grateful to Masi and everyone else who is making such a huge effort to organize this big racing league. I can only imagine how complicated it must be to get things right and the amount of hours that have gone into making it all possible.
I can only hope that my times were good enough to get me into the top 30 because I'm really hyped at the idea of being able to race with some of the best players around.
