Although I understand where you are coming from and agree with most of it. The fact is that had you read the rules to the competition you have entered properly, you would of understood what us and isn't classed as track. If you weren't sure having read the rules a steward would of opened a room with you to show you the track limits. I really think this should be case closed now. If in the future you are unsure of track limits, any of the stewards will show you on request.

That's fair enough twisted. As I said before, I did read the rules and the rules are open to interpretation. I never would've dreamed that the level of cutting that GTP_Nissen got away with would be allowed by the OP. Which is why I drove as fast as I could whilst never letting my car have all 4 wheels over the white line at any time (in accordance with normal motor racing rules)

It doesn't really make much difference now anyway. GTP_Nissen's times are obviously deemed clean and my laps (and quite a few other people's) were slower because we stuck to normal, common sense motor racing rules.

I'm happy for this to be case closed now too. I hope none of the stewards or anybody else is being offended by what I've said. I've simply been pointing out what any body who follows motor racing would agree is a valid point. Cutting to THAT degree would not be allowed in real motor racing so it shouldn't be allowed in online racing either, especially for a game that strides to be "The Real Driving Simulator"

As I said before, I respect the stewards' decision. I'm also very grateful to Masi and everyone else who is making such a huge effort to organize this big racing league. I can only imagine how complicated it must be to get things right and the amount of hours that have gone into making it all possible.

I can only hope that my times were good enough to get me into the top 30 because I'm really hyped at the idea of being able to race with some of the best players around.

You could always win tonight's pre season race. That would guarantee you entry in to season 3. No offence taken. It's a pleasure to have you here.

Case closed. Private messages are there for a reason. If you disagree with WSGTC rules, you can contact Masi. If you disagree with GTP OLR rules, you can contact a Race Admin. Other than that, these are the rules and they will not be changed. They've worked for the past 2 seasons of WSGTC, as well as many other series on GTP. And comparing the rules to real-life is useless. There are so many differences between GT5 and real-life racing. Ultimately, FIA's rules apply to real motorsports, not virtual ones. If you don't like the rules, you don't have to race here.

What is the name of the blue car ? tuned mazda ?

ps: Daz you are absoulutly right .

pre season race ? what ?

Case closed. There is a pre season race tonight. Look at the main thread and sign up if you like. Although it does look as though you haven't read the op. also can I just point out that
1. Masi isn't from England
2. Litchi who was the steward whose decision you questioned isn't from England
3. This is a multi racial, multi national tournament.
Please don't ever again imply that you are treated differently because of your nationality.

On the last pages of the main thread list open spots. Follow the format similar to what speedracegirl just did but for the pre race not the qualify. You just have to be signed up for the series. You dont need to have qualified in the qualifier yet. If you sign up make sure you can do it so the mods arent constantly updating the available spots.

20.3 Drivers must use the track at all times. For the avoidance of doubt the white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.
A driver will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with the track.
Should a car leave the track for any reason the driver may rejoin. However, this may only be done when it is safe to do so and without gaining any advantage.
Sounds like 2 wheels to me, no matter -
This is your bible.

Masi correct me if I'm wrong, but we don't have any rules that are different from these do we?

@ CSL - No. WSGTC and OLR Rules are essentially the same in the 'Track Contact' department.

I keep getting DC from Nepalis room 👎👎

Im so sorry toyota. It could be an incompatibility between us. :( I have had this happen to me before, and its very frustrating. I probably wont host any more races as its too much stress for me. Having to keep track of everything is very stressing for me, considering we have many new people in here and you dont know what to expect. Thankfully the start of the race went well.

Qualifying/Practice room:

1472-6118-3830-2744-4917

It says *private room* because I was doing some other stuff first.. But feel free to jump in.

Edit - Need to step away for 15 min. Feel free to join, I will be back shortly.

sorry to give my 2 cents worth, but i think you'll find the reason that the OLR rules are the way they are is because that is how GT5 defines a dirty lap. try doing any of the licence tests or with penalties on. you can put 2 wheels clearly outside of the track, but as long as two (or i think GT5 may only need 1... drifting during a penalty race... dont ask) wheels are in contact with rumble or tarmac then no penalty will be given. so sit down and SHADDAP. that is the way GT5 is meant to be played, hence why it is programmed that way. if you wanna play by FIA rules then go buy the daft ass F1 game for ps3.

Is he a Steward? I don't think so... Rules are the same for all mate, even for Stewards. Don't forget it 👍
