To all OFFICIAL WSGTC drivers.

I plan a special event held at Friday, August 26th.
Theme: GT500 / Knockout tournament.
This is just for fun for the guys who want to race next friday. As we all know, WSGTC takes a 2 week brake after the 5th round.
16 first drivers that signs up will make this 1 room event.
There will be maximum 5 minutes between every race. So time to do setups, and small tweaks will not be there. Just get out and race! That's what this event is all about.

Any WSGTC approved GT500 car may be used. It have to be tuned to WSGTC rules. You have to use the car of your choice during the entire event. You can not change from one race to another.
DAMAGE: Light
TIRES: Racing SOFT
PIT STOP: It's up to you.
We'll do a live quali 20 minutes prior round 1. After that, the latest race results will also be our grid spots for the next race.
I will not review replays, or take incident reports. I hope that all of us knows how to race WSGTC style by now. 👍

CT: 19.30 PM (GMT), 20.30 PM (BST)
GF: 20.30 PM (GMT), 21.00 PM (BST)

Round 1. Rome - 16 cars - 8 laps - Top 12 make it to round 2.
Round 2. London - 12 cars - 6 laps - Top 8 make it to round 3.

2nd chance: TokyoR246 - 3 laps - The 8 knocked out drivers from round 1 and 2 will battle eachother. - top 4 will join round 3.

Round 3. SSR5 - 5 laps - 8 drivers from round 2 + 4 drivers from 2nd chance. Top 6 moves on to the final.

3rd chance: Eiger Nordwand (Weather) - 6 last drivers from round 3 will battle for 4 spots in the final.

Final: SSR7 (Weather) - 3 laps - 10 cars

Winner will recieve a 1.000.000 cr car of his choice from the NCD.

It's not Masi's spot race. It's the WSGTC spot race day, it's a series of races in a knockout tournament format.

Something came up with me, sort of, as well. I need to pick someone up from the airport and i'll be cutting it really close on race time, so don't wait for me! If I'm there I'm there.
 
Really thought there would be more drivers for this spot race today. However great the WSGTC is, there's no real gel between the drivers that take part. 👎

this is little? i thought turn out was ok but tonight i dont have time to race and thunder and lightening in scotland nets going on and off :lol:
 
It's not til about 6 hours isn't it? Can you elaborate more on 'no real gel'?

Well you don't really see all the F1 drivers getting together for a night at the pub before races do you? I sort of see it as the same. WSGTC's unique in that it's a seriously competitive series but it's sort of pick up in its approach to communication.

Most people only talk about what's necessary - no more no less approach. It definitely sets it apart from other series that maintain more of a tight-knit club feel. Mic's are off, we hardly see each other in the game before racedays, and there's not much room left for horsing around since we have drivers from all around the world on different times and don't like to waste time.

But there's always the core group and even it was just a handful of us spot racing from the center order of WSGTC it would still be an awesome fun time.

P.S. It is sad to say, but i wont be able to make the rest of the remaining schedule. I have class the whole day every friday for 16 weeks (starting today). Still, i will stay in the boards as an Admin and a Steward.

As for my F3 spot race, i might do it this coming monday.

We're at the moment 12 cars (Not counting Wardez), so 4 drivers that are not signed up can try to enter the room if you feel that you want to have some fun racing.

Aderrrm almost could've had the win. We were running together behind Pag and Josh and I clipped him coming through the last chicane. He's an amazing driver in any car and really showed up the GT500 regulars today.

Congrats to Pag though for holding it down! He's rich :P

We should set something like this up again, but try different formats. This was pretty cool.
 
Can someone please congratulate Pag from me? I'm not speaking to him. Joke, but yeah, ridiculously fun race and im pretty glad Aderrrm isn't racing as GT500 as well, that was pretty unbelievable.
