Track Guide
Fuji Speedway F
Turn 1
Turn 1 is a heavy braking right hander which opens up on exit. Due to the long straight before this corner. This is the best overtaking spot on the circuit. By out braking here there is more than enough room for both to enter the corner side by side.
Turn 2
Turn 2 is not a turn.
Turn 3
Turn 3 is a quick brake downshift left. It tightens on exit so SHOULD NOT be used for an overtaking move. If you got a good run out of Turn 1 you've either made the move stick or you back out of it. Simple as that. It is however possible to overtake a car of the slower class here. Provided they know you are coming and indicate they will leave room.
Turn 4 and Turn 5
This is a full lock single line right hander. Do not be stupid and try and overtake here. One of you will go off. One of you may spin. It's stupid. Just sit tight.
DO NOT LAP GT300 HERE.
Turn 6
If you were close exiting Turn 5 then you could out brake your opponent here. The exit opens up to make the overtake easier. Here is where you should lap a GT300
Turn 7, Turn 8 and Turn 9
These are not corners.
Turn 10
From the long draft you've just receive it is possible to overtake going into Turn 10. Don't take the normal racing line as you will push the guy off in the following corners. But it is possible if you both cooperate.
Turn 11
It's possible to go 2 wide through here if the overtake hasn't been done in braking for Turn 10
Turn 12
Once again you can still be side by side through this corner if you give each other space.
Turn 13
If you are still side by side just give up. Now you will hurt both your lap times and probably cause a crash. The corner tightens on exit and the next complex requires alot of moving from side to side. It is not advisable to lap a GT300 here.
Turn 14
Turn 14s apex is well, not essential here. It is more important to let the car go wide to be on the right hand curb for Turn 15. Yes there is a massive gap on the inside. But DO NOT try taking the gap. There will be a crash if that happens.
Turn 15
The exit from Turn 14 is important for a good exit from Turn 15. The corner tightens on exit. GT500 if you lap a GT300 here make sure you slow enough to leave them a cars width on exit.
Turn 16
A wide entry is important to getting a good speed down the main straight. DO NOT DIVE DOWN THE INSIDE. The exit is very tight if the entry was wrong. So if you're hugging the inside before the apex, say hello to Tarmac run off. GT500 again like Turn 15 if you overtake a GT300 here leave space for them on the outside.
Pit entry + Pit exit
For pit entry it is not a flat out entry. Some braking is requires guys. Like Daytona.
For pit exit be aware you exit just at the turn in point for Turn 1. Don't try squeeze a guy braking from 170mph as you will run him off the road.
So the majority of overtaking should be done at Turn 1 and 10. The track is single file for alot of the lap, so jut sit tight if you behind a slower car and wait do a straight.
