BTW if/when we form this league it will probably be a private league. Just most of you all that I have raced with. Would like to the keep the number at 16 to keep qualifying simple. Anyone else that would want to join we would have to test out and all of that stuff. Don't want randoms joining and raising hell lol.

Sounds good. It will be a heck of a lot easier to keep track of points if we only have 16 anyways, since you can only have so many players in one race.

Right. We can have like reserve drivers or whatever incase someone doesn't show. Once all the cars have been picked, On RPM Ill add the AI drivers remaining so they will have their own points. So even if you aren't the fastest (which will prolly be me since I've never played an F1 game) you can atleast have something to shoot for.

I noticed the drivers were much quicker in qualy than race trim. I had a difficult time getting pole from them (when i didnt use DRS or KERS). In the race it was a joke :P

With only 16 people racing, a lot more racers will have a chance to get points as well since only the top 10 receive points

I'll only be able to do the weekend race, unless we do a friday/saturday race using the two series timeslots as of now. Maybe two 10 week seasons would be better, with a break in between, almost like what they do IRL

Track Guide

Fuji Speedway F

Turn 1
Turn 1 is a heavy braking right hander which opens up on exit. Due to the long straight before this corner. This is the best overtaking spot on the circuit. By out braking here there is more than enough room for both to enter the corner side by side.

Turn 2
Turn 2 is not a turn.

Turn 3
Turn 3 is a quick brake downshift left. It tightens on exit so SHOULD NOT be used for an overtaking move. If you got a good run out of Turn 1 you've either made the move stick or you back out of it. Simple as that. It is however possible to overtake a car of the slower class here. Provided they know you are coming and indicate they will leave room.

Turn 4 and Turn 5
This is a full lock single line right hander. Do not be stupid and try and overtake here. One of you will go off. One of you may spin. It's stupid. Just sit tight. DO NOT LAP GT300 HERE.

Turn 6
If you were close exiting Turn 5 then you could out brake your opponent here. The exit opens up to make the overtake easier. Here is where you should lap a GT300

Turn 7, Turn 8 and Turn 9
These are not corners.

Turn 10
From the long draft you've just receive it is possible to overtake going into Turn 10. Don't take the normal racing line as you will push the guy off in the following corners. But it is possible if you both cooperate.

Turn 11
It's possible to go 2 wide through here if the overtake hasn't been done in braking for Turn 10

Turn 12
Once again you can still be side by side through this corner if you give each other space.

Turn 13
If you are still side by side just give up. Now you will hurt both your lap times and probably cause a crash. The corner tightens on exit and the next complex requires alot of moving from side to side. It is not advisable to lap a GT300 here.

Turn 14
Turn 14s apex is well, not essential here. It is more important to let the car go wide to be on the right hand curb for Turn 15. Yes there is a massive gap on the inside. But DO NOT try taking the gap. There will be a crash if that happens.

Turn 15
The exit from Turn 14 is important for a good exit from Turn 15. The corner tightens on exit. GT500 if you lap a GT300 here make sure you slow enough to leave them a cars width on exit.

Turn 16
A wide entry is important to getting a good speed down the main straight. DO NOT DIVE DOWN THE INSIDE. The exit is very tight if the entry was wrong. So if you're hugging the inside before the apex, say hello to Tarmac run off. GT500 again like Turn 15 if you overtake a GT300 here leave space for them on the outside.

Pit entry + Pit exit
For pit entry it is not a flat out entry. Some braking is requires guys. Like Daytona.
For pit exit be aware you exit just at the turn in point for Turn 1. Don't try squeeze a guy braking from 170mph as you will run him off the road.

So the majority of overtaking should be done at Turn 1 and 10. The track is single file for alot of the lap, so jut sit tight if you behind a slower car and wait do a straight.

I was thinking something along the lines of two races a night. Double headers maybe?

Also great work Zach!

Oh look who decided to show his face :) I've been well. You missed some good racing.

Been working a lot lately only off today because my son is sick from school. I have just been playing madden13 at night in a online franchise. I will eventually get to back to gt5. 👍

Random fact. There is a piano placed in the Student Union here at UCF and the person jamming on it started playing the tune GT5 plays when you go into GT Auto. I just pictured all those times spent changing my oil haha.

and yeah I was thinking 45-60min per race

I can get F1 on PS3, would be cool to run a series! Just a thought tho, 2 races in one night starting at 7pm EST is going to be one hell of a late finish for us brits. Maybe running a shorter season or just having a mega 20 week season would be better?

Was actually thinking about moving the start to 5 or 6 ET to help you guys

You know, I must admit, I've had the same experience, except mine came from the TV iirc. I love that now we will forever relate that tune to GT Auto.

Funny, whenever I hear Panama by Van Halen I think of the GT4 opening video right when the cars are going through the corkscrew. :P

And the very rare occasions I hear "Turbo Lover," I blissfully recall my many days racing GT3, and for some reason driving an RX7 through the rockscape at Trial Mountain enters the forefront of my brain during those instances.

Anyone run any laps at fuji yet ? Any times ?

Yeah shagg posted the testing data.

I ran some laps earlier and got a 1.37.7, considering I was in the 2.20s at this time last week times will tumble.

I hope GT6 has better music, GT5's was just so... dull. I know you can import your own, but what's the fun in that? GT introduced me to some really great songs, they need to get back to that, and not so many lounge songs and creepy singing kids who I assume have possesed all-white eyes. Thanks Japan. :scared:

GT3 had one of the best Feeder songs of all time - Buck Rogers. GT4 has Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand. GT5 has erm.... Nobody lol.

I hope GT6 gets some well known bands and songs back lol.

Maybe some RHCP and Foo Fighters :D
