Mr. Fredericks, when you get a chance you need to update the drivers list so we can see the numbers in each class. As i know mike88 doesnt look like he is going to race, and the new guys that are joining are not on there.

I will when I get home from the hospital. Sorry about that guys

Lol thanks for the worries but I was working. I'm in the shadowing stage of my pre-med education. Shadowing some fabulous doctors 👍

Sure hope everythings allright mate...

Are we using success ballast in this series?

This will be our third season using a success ballast system the top 3 in each class.

If you want some clarification on how the success ballasts works go to the OP. We have detailed how much weight will be gained and lost for each finishing position :)

I have updated the drivers/teams post in the OP. Drivers in red on the drivers table is drivers with unknown status since signing up.

I also will get with dragon when he gets his internet back to get some stuff done on the OP for racing season (results/standings/etc.)

The link to the sign up I recieved in pm did not work it said the race points manager account has been suspended and would not allow any access to the site.

I ran 1'37's out of the box'

Scratch that just hit 1'36'610 w/ no front downforce'

Doesn't the car regs say you have to have max downforce?

I do run full front downforce in and race but in my P1 sessions is nothing but a disciplinary act for myself 👍 Stating this just means I'll probably find up to a second more when I add the front downforce for my next P session'

Thanks for the heads up. It's back up and running 👍

Those mods are required? I have to get the chassis mod?

The chassis mod is just recommended but is not really required as we dont have a way to regulate the use of it. (Plus idk if you actually can get it for the Lexus. If you can I'd definitely get it). Stuff like Turbos and for the case of your car, a stage 3 engine upgrade, is definitely needed.

alefin
I see. Is max aero also required?

I wouldn't say it is required but it is highly highly highly highly... (thousand more highlys) recommended. You'll be seconds faster with max downforce

I finally broke into the 34's, best of 34.6 so far. I'm averaging low 35's and hoping a little more track time will let me pull a 34 for qualifying. :scared:

From the preseason times, I'm betting it will take a very low 35 to make it into the division 1 room.

Bumpity bump bump

Qualifying is now open for this week's race. This will be the post that will be used for the qualifying results. It is going to be this Saturday at 7ET. It will be at Indy Road for the season opening race!

This post here will detail the results, procedures and etc on how we do qualifying (See OP for more details). Qualifying is over and final 12 hours before the scheduled start of the race.

The chart below details the current qualifying standings. This will be updated as the week goes forth and when a new page is made I will quote this post

Current Qualifying Results:

To qualify you can either PM a steward here on GTPlanet, post a post on here with a public room number for a steward to join, or if you are friends on PSN with a steward you can PM them on there. Below is the list of Stewards that can qualify you (as of now)

GTPlanet name (PSN name)

- XxShaggxX (Xx-Shagg-xX)
- DragonGT83 (same)
- KingBestJr (same)
- gtpanoz (panoz38)
- Infernothefox (InfernoTheFox)

Note that Stewards must qualify with other Stewards

Instructional video(s) for this week:

Hope these videos are helping 👍

I figured 1'34's was pole pace. I'm sure I'll be in the 1'35's once I add the downforce. I don't know about that 1'34's talk tho, but I am using a Ds3 so?,...

Pole will be around a 1.33.7 (at the minimum). Me and dragon can run that pace fairly easily. I see cut off around a 35.4 probably

Also for DS3 users I recommend a controller sensitivity of 7. Doing that I am only a couple tenths off my fastest laps with the wheel.

Here is the Q results from the mock race two weeks ago. The cut off for this session would have been a 1.35.9 but I expect that time to be a lost faster given this is the second time we have came to the track. If your north of this time you may be running in Room B.

Still awaiting internet fix, they have to dig up all the old line which is only like 3 years old and redo it all. hoping I can make it for the first race of the season.

I'm betting pole position for 300s will be in the 1.33s. Also if your unsure of your cars regs review the regulations on the first page. chasis reinforcement and full downforce is only recommended(thats what I run) and this is what works with my tune. I found stage 3 turbo to be faster in the 300 cars then stage 2 vs the 500s where stage 2 is usually always better. There should be no cars with engine upgrades unless stated in the regs. I have pics of all the cars with and without the engine upgrade so I'll get it into a google doc type deal to all the stewards so they can see what they're looking at on the revs vs having to get that car out to look.

Alright one last series plug ;)

This week we are also starting our Spec Racing series - the Touring Car Championship Series

For those that don't know, spec racing is where competitors use the same cars, with tuning default, same HP, etc and race. Cars change each week and the person with the most points at the end of the season wins the championship (we also have some surprises thrown in there ;)) We race Friday's at 1030 ET. The races are short (around 30 mins long) and we do two races a night, back to back. Given that it's default setup its pretty laid back and doesnt require a lot of practice so if your friday's are free around this time then definitely come join us...

Alright now back to your regularly scheduled programming :) (Sorry I have to do my job of promoting our other series 👍)

Looking forward to TC series going to be a fun series very competitive. Everyone should join its a blast.

In that spec series, is it ok if we just try to make a race now and then, if you don't have a full room? Being able to race on Fridays is not something I can do often, but would join in if the situation permits.

That's fine. Just know that if you don't qualify during the week and more then 15 show up, you will be pushed to room b
