Not happy with the start, got a hard shove from behind before the leaders even set off then got caught in a bottleneck at a turn 1 incident.
Then I got a fairly large serve up into turn 1 that sent me into a half spin sending me to the back of the field. :grumpy:

From there I was caught in the pack and lost time, including this NSX that was spinning in front of me. He was crossed up at the turn before the hairpins and I was so close I had nowhere to go but into him.

We are going to look at the 500 start. Gotten a lot of requests for that

Hey shagg, when you were in pre season car testing, which type of track does the garaiya suit?

After the race finished I decided to run a few laps in the RX7, in my first flying lap I knocked my Q time by 2 tenths. I didnt even bother setting up the LSD and suspension....Im gonna try that later on today and see the result. Just wondering whether the garaiya is a handling beast compared to others or what....cheers...

Looking at the results from testing the ARTA is extremely fast at tracks with more turns and less straights (Laguna, Monoco, Nurburg, probably Twin Ring). The RX7 did really well on tracks with bigger straights (Fuji, indy road, probably daytona road). Whats interesting from the results is either one car is really good at a track or the really bad at another. Them two were like opposites cause the ARTA has great handling while the rx7 has the top end. The rest of the cars are consistent over every single track.

Glad to hear that...Its amazing how the arta keeps up when you consider it weighs 75kg more, 45, 55 weight distribution and no upgrades...One of the many mysteries of GT5 i guess....:P

I think that weight distribution is what gives it the handling. It's able to hook around those tight corners. It is lightening fast at laguna in testing (like 3 tenths faster). We just couldnt get rid of that 3 tenths without making it slow everywhere. It's a fine line when regulating these cars lol

Great race tonight had fun a little bit of a bad start in 500's but rest of race was good it sucks i got beat on pit strategy but its part of racing good win Pablo and Thomas.

Benny once you choose car for this series we also have a spec series we will start in a few weeks that is going to be on sports tires. Just look at any of shagg's posts and in his signature has the link to GTRRL touring car series and if you are interested let us know. We will be getting that together throughout this week. So everyone be prepared if your interested to keep an eye out for that.

Its school time right now. This lesson shows how important staggered starts are.

First example:

Everyone lineup with plenty of room between each other. A good example. :)👍

Second example:

The first three driver are lineup how they should. But the driver in 5th place is side by side with the 4th place driver. This causes the field to funnel up for the first turn. A bad example :ouch:👎

I also have a photo of the 2 cars behind rear ending me and the guy in 3rd respectively. The blue car was right beside me.

They accelerated before the leaders and I almost flew into the guy in front because of the impact. Wheee lol.

But good race overall, the 300 cars had great situational awareness and my speed overall was acceptable.

that 3rd guy in calsonic, obviously not staggered start, and arta nsx was too far up. and looked like zues was a lil too far ahead in his formation too. them 3 guys need to review how to staggered start, looked like it was fun, wish i could of been there.

Zeus may looked a little far ahead at that moment in the picture but the 300 field done a perfect job on the start with everybody being where they needed to be.

Thanks, I'll be there. That's probably for the best anyway, give me a little time to practice.

be great to have ya with us benny. I'm in an internet crisis right now and have had multiple techs out and still nothing fixed. but when I get back if you need any help with a tune or want to practice I'll join up with ya.

That is definitely not staggared start. We will look into it. Then the accident looked like Zach lagged into you. Just a bit of a mess there

Yeah for some reason the lag got worse after i rejoined. I assure you I didn't intend to collide and on my replay Phil is already spinning when we hit :/. I braked at 130m so it's not as though I was too late on brakes

I had an awesome race with pretty much all the drivers. Dropped down from 2nd to 4th, damn gravel trap in last corner...Had a great couple laps with shagg but he just broke the draft somewhere in sector 2....Me and zeus were completely side by side for the whole of sector 1 and beginning of sector. Kept it clean and gave plenty of room to each other...👍

However I have a bit of a problem with the way GT500 drivers come up to lap us GT300's...Do we not have the racing line? And 500's have to safely go around us right? I understand if a GT500 is side by side with a 300 before braking but when they come bulldozing through when us 300's have turned half way through to the corner results in losing quiet a bit of time...This happened to me and as a result I lost the draft to the 3rd placed driver....I think the lapping rule needs to be highlighted more often...

GT5 screwing up again then

The 300s do have the racing line. It is the 500s job to safely make it around them. Reminder: If 500s make contact with 300s the 500 is at fault and could be subject to penalties. The 500s can't bully their way around the 300 cars...

Anyone here with a wired setup that can help me get mine to not lag so much?

Is there other stuff connected to it? Also make sure to delete your cache before the races

To begin I would like to apologize for any trouble I gave any in last nights race it was a pretty fun race and enjoyed it, I already apologized to zack but I'll say it again I am sorry for the bump I gave u. I think the lag most part of it cause I could not see where he was really but can't blame it on the lag for getting into grass I could of slowed Down more. I would also like to apologize to king and also dragon mostly king, I was following mike and I clearly didn't read that part of the rules. Once again i am sorry to everyone I don't want a bad rap in going into this season or the rest of this season. I think this season will be great. The 300s car people if I taped u in any way I would also like to Apologize.

The only thing connected at 1am is my ps3 :S. I think I've cleared my cache once in the 2+ years ive owned the game. I'll do that next time see if it helps

It's alright mike, after speaking to you I understand what went on on the replay and don't blame you for the collision anymore. My connection was terrible and it's something I'm going to work on. It's the first race, I expect little bumps like that.

Lmao...Also, how long is your ethernet cable?

Resistance=Rho*Length/Cross sectional surface area.

Also does the wiring pass any hot areas? Temperature will also increase resistance.

If none of this is applicable then maybe try a different high quality wire?

It's the highest quality wire, 6 or 5e or whatever exists lol. But it's 15m (severely overestimated the length of my room lol). It's around the edge of room, hottest it gets is when it's plugged into the playstation...
