I am driving a Fanatec Clubsport V2 wheel base in GT Sport, through a Cronusmax adapter ... it's working beautifully.
I have weekly competitive online private league races in Gran Turismo 6, with the same group of friends, since about 4 years, now.
Other than that, I currently mostly drive DiRT Rally.
I have very little time in Assetto Corsa and F1 2016, oh, and Project Cars felt like crap.
Only three days with this set-up on GT Sport, so far .... yeah, it's great.
But I was side tracked at first ...
Due to the compatibility issue, I ordered a T300 RS GT, to use until new Fanatec PS licensed wheel is released.
Ordered and installed the T300, and it felt like plastic, but the FF was quite good once i got settings dialed in.
Basic pedal set is lame.
.... And then it croaked after about 100mi in GTS, plus ~ 25k in DiRT, so it got sent back for a refund.
The universe was sending me a sign .... "Pursue a Fanatec solution, Boki", "Go forth and adapt, Boki"
So, I decided to go back to the Fanatec, and had the CronusmaxPlus Adapter in my hot little hands 2 days later.
It's a little fuss to initiate the set-up, but it is running brilliantly.
The FF in GT Sport is a noticeable improvement from GT6, but it's hard to fully quantify, yet.
I am picky, and I am strange, so it's going to take a while to truly judge GTS, but I like it.
Because of the limited cars, tire compounds in races, few circuits in the beta, and because of just the newness of the game, i'm holding back on being too opinionated, yet.
the strength of the FF, at least through my Fanatec wheel, is way more powerful than needed.
I have it dialed down on one of my onboard presets, or it's just too hard on the wrists if you drive a lot every day.
I'm spoiled with the powerful FF from the CSW V2, and the split channels of feedback in DiRT Rally.
I like to turn down the "drama" FF, like collisions and engine vibration, in order that I can more clearly feel the FF channels that are actually informing me of what the car is doing. I turn up the FF aspects that indicate tire slip and spin, suspension, steering rack resistance & centering forces.
One big difference from GT6, is that there does seem to be a fresh distinctness of feedback from different parts of the car, the transmission, and in different behaviours of the chassis over terrain, ... this FF detail, along with the improved audio, really tell you more about what the car is doing ... it's just a small complaint, that on the settings menus, there is no way to fine tune these 'channels'.
ALL. THE. FEELS.
