Everywhere I've read, he's only considered the racing driver and they don't even call him a host on the show. It kinda makes no sense to consider him it either since he's rarely in the studio with the guests.

Yes, the Cadillac CTS-V is the car I'm thinking of. James may was constantly complaining about the sedan version of it on the 2nd road tip they took in the US. I found it rather amusing that he even gone to the length of gambling for some stupid motorcycle type thing so he wouldn't have to drive the Cadillac again.

Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak? It was the only pikes peak rally car until the Audi Sport Quattro Hillclimb, Suzuki SX4 Pikes Peak & the other random Pikes peak car joined the GT6 car rouster.

Subaru Impreza "RM" '05? Even though this one and the Evolution X "TC" both clearly are rally cars, most GT5 players took the "Touring Car" part in the Evos name too serious and never raced it where it was supposed to. With GT6, their names have been changed to "Rally Car", so maybe now people will race both on gravel?

Also, general information, hill climb =/= rally. They're slightly similar, but not the same. In the same way DTM and F1 are share some key features, but are not the same.

I know, but I just like calling it that anyway even though it's wrong. For some reason, it just sounds weird calling a car a "Hillclimb" car on its own.
