A car show I have gone to lets me know this is an Alfa, but I can't remember which one. I remember it only because I liked that bit around the shifter.
 
I'm assuming it's really cheap, but it doesn't fit the Honda/Toyota design. Nissan Versa or european-market Hyundai?
 
Well, the guy is sitting on the right, so something UKish or Japanese. This is backed by how it looks like a feature picture from a manufacturer or reviewer website.
 
The only manufacturer I think in the UK with cars that visually cheap is Proton, WRC taught me of them, and I like the look of the rally car. Frankly, that is the only one I know of and the shifter is much, much different from this one.

I think he meant that it's a Proton. Which I thought was a part of the atom but I guess it's a car brand.
Looking at their Wikipedia page, I'll start by guessing Satra or Saga?
