when you list your damper settings, which is extension and which is compression?

ie. on the alfa 8c above, you have

3 / 4
3 / 4
I believe they're listed the same order you would set them in the game, for the 8c above:

ride height:
front / rear
110 / 110

spring rate:
front / rear
10.22 / 11.88

damper compression:
front / rear
3 / 3

damper extension:
front / rear
4 / 4

A-R bars:
front / rear
4 / 4

camber:
front / rear
0.5 / 0.5

toe:
front / rear
-0.05 / +0.02

Sorry about that, all setups are as you see them in the custom suspension, so dial them in like that.

The dampers for the Alfa 8c should be:

(compression) - 3 / 3
(Extension) - 4 / 4

Roll bars should be 5 / 5..

The Alfa was one of the cars we were using as a test car for a new formula yesterday. I have a big problem with the game freezing and having to re-boot my PS3, but this doesn't save the setups done. Owing to this, I try to update the posts here as and when each car is worked on, so I always have a record of where the car is at and I don't have to start from scratch again, which has happened with alot of cars, many times..

I'm also prone to typo's aswell!!

Cool - thanks Dragon, yep correct :D 👍

P.S. Speed 12 has now been revised to latest specs, SLS AMG has been moved down to 600pp SPORTS medium, these cars feel alot better on mediums than softs. The feedback through the wheel seems more natural and the cars move around a bit more, making them far nicer (and rewarding) to drive..

I've been running them on racing hards actually I think :P (or whatever was the highest allowed in the given career race)
Only spun out the SLS AMG once so far, when an AI decided to bump me in the slight right curve in the straight on panorama view, the one right before the hairpin

Nooooooooooooooooooo (Racing hards)..!!! No worries, if it works for you and this is how you enjoy the cars/setup, then go for it 👍 :D

In a way it's good feedback to know that these setups are driveable with different tyres and in different situations..

Thanks for letting me know and trying out the tunes

Yeh, the AI was a pain - especially in some of the mission races when you're infront and about to take the win, just to be taken out by the AI in the last corners. That happened to me on the Apricot Hill mission I think.... grrr :grumpy:

Well done H for all these tunes, i just copied all of them in a folder and in the next weeks i will try them out. I hope the physics of the game doesn't change a lot in the upcoming months.

Thanks Ricky 👍

Some are going to have to be revised again as we've moved on from the original tuning methods, so keep an eye out :D

I haven't forgotten about your request for the ISF Racing Car, I'll pop a tune up for it soon :sly:

I'll have a look at the SLS, hopefully we should be able to find some tweaks to help.

Deltawing - sorry, I dont do tricycles(!!!!!!) Mmmmmm, oki doki, I wasn't going to buy it as I hate it, but I might have a go... :sly:

Hello, Highlandor.

I'm back & sorry I took a little longer then usual I was busy racing and enjoying your tunes! lol. Anyway, to get back to you about the SLS AMG GT3 , there wasn't a problem with the set-up it was just an 'operator error' , witch is what I suspected so thnx & job well done again. Now about the Delta-Wing, lol, I know its pretty funny & I understand if you don't want to give the tri-cycle a try lol. I'm still running GT3/2/TC cars & havnt got to LMP's yet so no rush @ all. I do have a few requests tho lol.

---Chevy Camaro SS TouringCar
---Dodge Challenger SRT8 TouringCar
---Audi R8 LMS Ultra '12 (GT3/2)

Thanks for all your tunes & future tunes to come Highlandor, your time & skill has made GT6 very interesting & fun for me!

ILL BE BACK!

ILL BE BACK!

I bought the Delta wing and sent it to retirement after 1/2 a lap!!!! It's OK, but with that weight distribution, it's tune-able, but like some other cars - making it driveable doesn't mean it's race-able...

I'll wait & see what happens in next few updates, there's no way some of these MR cars should be like this, especially when others can be setup quite easily... same with R8 LMS, we've tuned them without ballast etc and they run fine over kerbs etc but they feel horrible..

Camaro and Challenger touring cars should be OK, got another TC to do, so will try and do these over next few days :D

Many thanks for your support 👍

Drove this just now and had to check i still had traction control off. Very nice. So nice infact i added stage three engine tuning. And the handling was still just as good.

Cool, nice, many thanks for your feedback 👍

If that worked for you, hopefully some of the other 550pp SH cars that are front engined and rear wheel drive could work for you too. Some of the higher 600pp sports medium FR cars aswell maybe.... :D

Torque monster - 70kgfm... depending what tyres you run will affect this car quite a bit. With SH tyres, that's ALOT of torque, running better (grip) tyres means the setup doesn't have to work as hard to control it.

So things like LSD acc might have to be lowered (for inside wheel slip), or raised if you have a delicate right foot and want to free it up a little..

Setup might need quite a bit if revision if going even higher with tyres i.e. racing tyres..

If sticking to SH tyres, making 1st & 2nd gear long, then reducung 6th and adjusting the rest would help - use final gear to adjust top speed for track otherwise you'll loose your custom ratio's..
