[Mizuho]

The journey into Tokyo was both hectic and breathtaking. Mizuho had to use a GPS to find the pub that she had been instructed to go to. She parked her car outside the business and then proceeded to the door. She had chosen a gender-neutral outfit to conceal her gender.

As she entered the pub, she noticed how sophisticated it felt on the inside. Now she was wondering why nobody ever told her about this place...She was hungry, so she looked around for food...She’d have to ask, but there is a nice ramen cart in the corner opposite her on the street. She walked up to the bar and tapped on the counter to get the barkeeper's attention.

Mizuho: Hello sir, I’m supposed to be meeting someone here. His name is Kaage, and he’s the owner of the white vantage out front. He gave me this card. She shows the barkeep the card.

As she waited for the barkeep to respond to the card, she felt a faint pressure in the area. It was something she had faced and felt before...but what was it?

The barkeep told her the reunion was in the back and pointed her in the right direction.

Mizuho: *bowing softly* Thank you, sir. Question, do you offer any meals in this pub? I am rather hungry.

The barkeep showed her an extensive menu with many staples. She smiles as she picks out some of her favorite dishes.

Mizuho: Thank you for the menu sir...I’m ready to order. I’ll have six Eel sashimi, Miso soup, fried tofu,a double hamburger with cheese, and a chilled bottle of Shochu please. She placed this order with much enthusiasm, and completely forgot about the reunion. Do you have a table that I can use?

The barkeep looks at her, bewildered by the volume of food she ordered. He points her to a table near where the reunion meeting will be held. The keep brings the food over to her, and she thanks him. He leaves her to eat...And she has a grand time wolfing down her food and enjoying it. She had no idea that Kaage and G were watching her eat. She finishes her meal and then looks around. Even though it’s completely empty, with only the buzzing hum of the overhead lights audible, she can’t help but feel some sort of pressure nagging at her as if she’s being watched…

[Kaage]

10:39PM-ish - Ryuu’s pub - Shinjuku, Tokyo.

After about 40 minutes of waiting around with G, Ryuu, and Mizuho, Kaage decides to go for a break outside, to catch the sweet cold nighttime air…

Kaage: Aaah, nothing beats the feel of the night to me, it’s amazing…

Before Kaage can continue even thinking to himself, Ryuu decides to go see to him, after all not many are showing at the door right now.

Ryuu: Hey! Kaage how’s it going?

Kaage:
Oh hey again Ryuu, so no-one else coming or what? You’re meant to be the doorstep. Haha

Ryuu: Oh I got G to look out for me, it’s my break now. Aha…

Kaage: Is that so? I thought I’d get some time to myself at a reunion, but seems I’m attracting everyone's attention.

Ryuu: Nah, it’s not that Kaage! I just got a bit bored, didn’t mean to annoy you or anything.

Kaage: Ah, it’s alright now. Anyway, how is your 180SX doing? I don’t see it in the parking lot?

Ryuu: I got the bullet train here today, thought I’d save a few yen. But it sucks I don’t get to show off in it! Haha.

Kaage: Oh well. I was going to bring my Celica, but I was just in a tricky situation with a guy who was wondering what happened on the night of you know what.

Ryuu: Oh, is that so? I still can’t believe you were in the original Hajime Racers…

Kaage pulls his arm back and scratches his head with a faint reply: Hehe, yeah…

A sollum silence fills the air for moment, with them both thinking of a new subject…

G: Hey guys! Someone is here, Ryuu get the door for me.

Kaage & Ryuu both get startled, and after a quick recovery Ryuu rushes over to the door.

Kaage: Wheew, G you saved me & Ryu from an awkward silence. Thanks.

G: Don’t mention it. I needed that escape anyway because I just remembered something…

Kaage: Oh what is it?..

[Dillon]

FINALLY… I’ve found the place. That darn street sign… if that was a person I would of dragged it out on the street and shot it.

Well I’ve found Kaage’s Aston, and that girl’s Lambo. But there is one car I don’t remember ever seeing. Looks like an old Skyline. Maybe an R31. That must be one of those “mates”.

After entering, ordering some food, and finding the where the reunion would be taking place, Dillon felt a slight shiver down his back.

Hmm… that must be one of Kaage’s mates. And there’s that chick. Eating like a hog. And yet she has such graceful curves…

Luckily before Dillon could start drooling, he heard talking from outside.

Must be catching up on memories. Huh..

Dillon’s phone started vibrating, indicating that his favourite street racing forum had a new topic added.

Well what’d ya know? Some guy’s on about a fast FD on Wangan that’s been taking the streets by storm. Heh… wait a minute… now some guy is talking bull**** about it. Normally I wouldn’t care for such comments, but this one is starting to get under my skin. Maybe if I talk to that guy over there I won’t care as much. He probably can also tell me as to why the heck am I in Tokyo, in a pub, on a lovely evening...

To be continued... (If the next person in line actually remembers to do this)

[Ryo]

Ryo: Well, that took a while to find.

Rin: Well..you could've asked for directions.

Ryo: I know this place like the back of my hand.

Rin points at a cut on his hand: Then what's that?

Ryo: Well that's a ve... Wait, what is that?

Ryo looks at his hand.

Ryo: Doesn't matter. Let's go in.

They both get out of the car and walk to the door.

Rin: I thought this would be a fancy place..

Ryo: What's wrong with pubs?

Rin: They’re so dirty and grimy.

Ryo: Oh, it's good for you. builds up your immunity.

Ryo opens the door and Ryuu is just staring at them with a displeased face.

Ryo puts his hand behind his head and smiles: She didn't mean it, I swear.

Kaage turns around in his chair.

Kaage: I see you got the message.

Ryo: Oh, it's you.

Rin: Wait, we're here because of a message?

Kaage: The meeting will be happening shortly. I see this is your plus one.

Rin: What meeting?

Ryo: Eh heh...I kinda owed her dinner, so I thought I could knock out two birds with one stone.

Kaage: Well, enjoy your dinner. We'll call you when it's starting.

Kaage walks away and Rin turns to Ryo.

Rin: What's going on?

Ryo: Nothing, just don't tell Kaito. Let me go get a menu.

Ryo walks over to the counter where Ryuu is drying off a mug. He still seems to be slightly mad because of the comments.

Ryuu: Grimy?

Ryo: Just forget about the comments she made. She doesn't understand pubs.

Ryuu hands over two menus.

Ryo: Thank you, sir.

Ryo bows and walks towards the table where Rin and hands her a menu.

Rin: This had better be worth it.

Ryo: I had read online that it is.

Rin: Ok, I want this and a coke.

Ryo: Let me go put that in.

Ryo gets up and walks to Ryuu.

Ryo: Alright, I'd like a double bacon cheese burger and a Wasabi Burger.

Ryuu: Alright, I'll get that up.

[Arata]

10:56PM - Ryuu’s pub - Shinjuku, Tokyo.

While driving around, Arata is wondering where the heck the meetup is for the ‘Hajime Racers’. He got an invite on the forums from Kaage, and it seemed strange for him to just call Arata out with barely any explanation. Although, Arata got intrigued about this new club and something new to get into seems good.

Arata: Hmm… I wonder where this meet is? At a pub in Shinjuku? C'mon’ Kaza, gimme more detail than that!

After a few minutes of wandering around, Arata finally spotted Kaage’s Aston Martin parked next to a very nice looking pub.

Arata: There! That must be Kaage’s V12 Vantage, it must be the only one in Japan with a big splitter and BBS’. Haha.

Arata parks up in between Kaage’s Aston & a R31. The R31 seems to be a real wangan machine. Looks like it’d be fun to drive indeed.

Arata: Someone must have a good taste, that R31 is right up my street…

After staring at the Skyline for a while, a stranger walks up to Arata, and asks: Hey you, are you here for the Hajime Racers meet?

Arata is pleased to hear he is at the right place and comes back with: Yuhuh! I’m Arata, Kaage knows me.

Ryuu: Oh right, he said there would be a few late comers from the forums invite. He didn’t even put where my pub is located! Ehehe…

Arata: You own this place?! Sweet! It looks real nice, anyway. I’ll be off inside, then.

Arata jogs over and enters the joint. he can hear noises from the VIP room, so it must be where the meet is.

Arata: Mmm… Before I enter, I could do with a drink though… Let’s see.

Hey! Anyone serving?

No reply…

Arata: Dammit! Oh well, I’ll be off in the lounge then.

Arata pushes one of double doors, it makes for a big surprise to everyone, as he accidentally swung them open rather fast.

Mizuho:
Oh hello!

Kaage: Hey Arata! You got here with no map right? Haha!

G: Yo.

Dillon: Nice entrance...

Arata swings his arm back and scratches the back of his head: Oh… Ello’ I’m Arata, Kaage’s friend.

G: Pleased to meet you Arata, and welcome to the Hajime Racers reunion. Say, you're a bit young too, were you in the Hajime Racers of ‘86?

Arata: Ah no, I wouldn’t of been around then.

G: Right, anyway, before my speech you can wait around, there is drinks and food over there if you need any, I think Ryuu said it’s on the house.

Arata: Oh nice, I’ve been dying for a drink!

Arata wanders over to get a lemonade, and everyone settles down again. Kaage looking on his laptop at the forums, Mizuho and G are having a small talk, and Dillon is checking his phone. Ryuu however, still outside looking for the other guests.

[Dillon pt.2]

Dillon: Um, excuse me?

Ryuu: Hey! You must be that FD driver everyone’s talking about lately.

Dillon: Well, I guess you can say that…

Ryuu: Hmm… you seem depressed. Can I help you with anything?

Dillon: Oh no, I’m always like this. Actually I wanted to ask what’s all this about? I met your friend last night on Wangan, and he explained to me about a meet up, but not much else. Do you think you continue what he was trying to say?

Ryuu: Sure. So basically back in 1986 a few guys formed a team called Hajime Racers. Well it wasn’t much of a team, more like a club, where you could just hang around with people and talk cars. They mostly ran Wangan and Touge, and sometimes drifting too. It was great, with a lot of people joining. Some were even making rival clubs, heh...But sadly, HR disbanded after one of their members were involved in a serious crash with another car at Wangan.

Dillon: What was the other car?

Ryuu: I’m not too sure, I think it was a black exotic.

Interesting…

Ryuu: Anyway, the reason why you and I and everyone are here is because we’re looking to start Hajime Racers again. We’ve noticed a lot of activity in both Touge and Wangan recently, and think now’s the perfect time to do it. And personally, me and a few others are quite interested in yours and others cabilbiltes as drivers.

Dillon: Really? You guys are interested in my driving?

Ryuu: Of course. You normally don’t hear of a rotary beating an R35 and a Lamborghini back-to-back, now do you?

Dillon: Heh… I guess not.

Ryuu: Did you tune that car?

Dillon: No, I got someone else to. Or rather, he volunteered to.

Ryuu: Hmm… what’s his name?

Dillon: He isn’t famous for his tuning or Wangan, you ever heard of Ryouske Takahashi?

Ryuu: Ohhhh, I’ve heard of him. That doctor who is a god at Touge. But if he can make a car that fast at Wangan, maybe I should give him a call, heh…

Well, my car is getting faster, so I should get my revenge on Kaage and that Ferrari soon… Oh and that Sileighty ricer kid needs taken cared of too...

Dillon: Well, nice meeting you. Ryuu, is it?

Ryuu: How’d you know?

Dillon: It says it on your nametag…

Ryuu: Oh right! Well nice meeting you too, um..

Dillon: Dillon, Dillon Tsuchiya.

Ryuu: Right, I’ll remember that. Maybe we’ll meet on the Touge sometime.

Dillon: For sure, since Touge really is background and home.

Ryuu: You know, you remind me of a famous racer who ruled the Touge like 5 years ago. He was timid and quiet like you when you talk to him normally, but behind the wheel, he was wild and incredibly fast. And he drove an AE86 too. Can’t remember his name though… Oh, I think G’s about to start his speech. So we might be here for a while if he does all the talking…

Dillon: Hehe, alright.

A club for people who want to hang around and street race together. I think I’m in Heaven…

*Phone buzzes

What the…that guy’s still going on about me in the forums, huh? Nevermind him, the speech is starting.

[Kaede/Fang]

11:10PM - Somewhere in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Kaede: Brr, it sure is cold today… I wish they focused more on the AC in the R35 than all the performance that it packs…

Kaede is stuck in Tokyo just like Arata was, and had no clue as to where the meet for Hajime Racers is, though her R35 is looking a lot more tuned that before...

Kaede: Should I call Kaage again? I know he doesn’t like that, but I really am lost.

Being from Yokohama, I’m really unfamiliar with the layout around Shinjuku. I’ll ask the next person for directions maybe?

From sideroad to sideroad, it seems as if Kaede wasn’t getting any closer to Ryuu’s pub and wouldn’t be there any time soon. Although, the streets of Tokyo could make for a good circuit…

While Kaede is stopped at a red light, she decides to turn on the R35’s launch control. It seems like this is going to turn into a free run session…

Kaede p1.png

Kaede: Alright, this will be Tokyo circuit, then! Aha. 3. 2. 1…

The light turns green, and the superb launch control that every GT-R has kicks in. The intense acceleration sends her R35 flying down the street.

Kaede p2.png

Kaede performs a drift at the next corner. Even in a 4WD car she has the power to send it sideways….

Kaede p3.png

Fang: Ahaha, let’s turn this into the D1GP!

Kaede p4.png

Kaede p5.png

With her personality split again, Fang takes over the drive and creates a whirlwind of chaos. She ignores red lights, causing near misses, and makes an outlaw of Kaede. Thankfully on the straight, Fang stops this.

Kaede p6.png

Kaede puts her right hand next to her ear, and begins talking to herself.

Kaede: Fang you must stop this. We’re a team remember?

Fang: Yeah, but you’re boring Kaede. Learn to be more lively sometimes.

Kaede: Mmm… I guess. But let me talk at the meet. I wanna see Kaage some more, without you acting like an idiot to him.

Fang: Hehe, you must like him.

Kaede: SHUT IT!

Kaede violently swings her arm down back onto the wheel, as if giving Fang a slap before backing off.

Kaede p7.png

Kaede: Ah. Ah. That was annoying. Fang sure is a pain to me, I wish I didn’t have split personalities. It’s weird. I don’t even wanna think about it, in case that Fang takes over again.

HEY IS THAT IT?!

Kaede p8.png

After viewing a small sign just out the corner of her eye, Kaede performs a handbrake U-turn to get into a parking spot. She can see a crowd of people in what looks to be the pub Kaage said on the forums.

Kaede: Hahaha! I found it. Now time to get inside and meet everyone.

Kaede p9.png

Kaede shuts off the GTR and elegantly moves towards the entrance to Ryuu’s pub. Upon getting closer, she realises that there must be a lot of people there as she sees about 5 cars in the PA. A RX7, A R31, Kaage’s V12 Vantage, an Altezza, and a weird looking car that Kaede assumes to be an exotic, but in fact is Arata’s GTO.

Kaede: Weird looking car, although it looks like it has a wangan setup… I wonder who owns it?

She wanders over to the door after staring at the strange GTO for a while, and a waiter is there.

Ryuu: Oh hello! Are you here for the Hajime Racers reunion?

Kaede: Oh yes, I am! This must be the right place. I’m Kaede, Kaage sent me an invite on the forums.

Ryuu: Oh yes he told me you own a GTR right? I’d love to make a time attack monster GTR. Haha

Kaede: Well I recently upgraded mine to resemble a GT3 GTR, in terms of bodywork. But my R35 is built for speed, I just love to go fast!

Ryuu: Is that so? I guess that’s why you know Kaage then. Heh. Anyway, we’ll all be in the VIP room near the back, and I think everyone is here now, so we’ll begin the meet in a moment. I’ll see you in there.

Ryuu waves off Kaede as she enters, Kaede gazes around at the place, it seems really nice and well maintained. She walks over to the VIP room and enters by opening the door ever so slightly, and creeps in with no-one noticing. Well at least she thought so.

G: Oh hello!

Mizuho: Hey there, wheew, another girl is here, that makes it the three of us, aha.

Ryo: Hey.

Dillon: Ah, hello.

Arata: … Hello there.

Kaage: Oh Kaede you came! Have a seat, you’re the last guest to come if i remember right…

Kaede: Nice! So what is this Hajime Racers thing then?..

To be continued...

[Steel]

Shortly after the incident with Dag and Kaage, Steel was ordered to go find the Hajime Racers meet to get intel. The boss had some plans for the guys there...He didn’t care to know what they were. It wouldn’t be much of an issue anyways. Boss had insisted that he use his Suzuki Cappuccino so he could get in unnoticed. In his pocket, he had an audio device that could very easily pass for an older iPod. Oh, here’s the pub...Let’s see...A Nissan R35, a Nissan R31, a rare GTO, an Altezza, and an Aston Martin. Well, that’s an interesting collection of cars. Steel pulls in next to the R35...Now, he’s impressed that the boss stuck a GPS tracker on the Vantage, but how was he so sure that it would work?

He failed to notice that the Shadow Racers team aura had rubbed off on him, and everyone inside was feeling the pressure that’s synonymous with the new Devil. The entire atmosphere of the pub was very uneasy, and the more experienced drivers noticed the aura through the wall. As Steel approached the door, a gentleman about two inches taller opens the door and glares at him.

Ryuu: Hey, can I help you? The tone in his voice is a bit aggressive, as he’s made uncomfortable by the faint burning red/black aura around Steel.

Steel: U-um..I-I got an invitation t-to a...H-Hajime Racers m-meet? Steel is trembling with anxiety…

Ryuu:

Steel: ****, this is bad! Boss will kill me if I can’t even get in! U-um...I...didn’t b-bring it? This doesn’t look good. The situation, along with the unexpected pressure, is drawing attention from the people in the VIP room. Kaage spots the trace aura and heads over to the door.

Kaage: Oi, you there!

Steel: He flinches and then turns towards Kaage. Y-yes?

Kaage: You weren’t invited. Who are you?

Steel: U-uhm...I...I was just i-interested in t-this team and f-figured it out myself. Dang it, **** it! This is going terribly! Boss is gonna kill me!

Kaage: Interesting, so you found out there was a meet in this exact place without being invited? How’d you find out that, then?

Steel: I...w-watched you d-drive around a bit with the RX7 and C-countach.

Kaage: Hmm…

Steel: He’s shivering violently now, the poor thing...How can he fix it? I-I’m a big f-fan of the old team. I r-remember a white s-supercar when I was just a k-kid.

By now, the other drivers have started trying to get a better view of the poor kid in the doorway. Kaede in particular notices the presence of the Devil’s aura. This awakens Fang…

Kaede: Is there a problem here? Fang, let me handle this! I’ll show you I’m worthy…

Steel: Oh god, PRETTY GIRL! I-I-I-I-I-I-I…. He turns around so he won’t see her.

Kaede: Definitely looks to be a problem…

Kaage: Oh hey Kaede. Yeah, this guy wants to get into the meet, but he wasn’t invited. Something seems awfully off.

Steel is just cowering and shivering with his back turned to them...He’s absolutely hopeless. His fear and anxiety is starting to power up the Devil aura that’s residing on him...And the pressure increases.

Ryuu: Well if the guy wants to get in and he’s interested, I don’t see why not?

As Ryuu shrugs his shoulders in confusion, Kaage and Kaede both look at him strangely. Steel turns back around and avoids eye contact with the girl in front of him.

Steel: M-may I c-come in?

Kaage: I don’t believe you can, I made the invites so that others wouldn’t know of the meet… Meaning no other teams can spy on us. That way the Divine 12 won’t revive and try take us down again.

Steel: I...I have no t-team. His face has unfortunately flushed because of Kaede standing there...The aura pressure is still growing and Kaage is starting to recognize it.

Fang: You smell familiar… I feel the presence of someone on you.

The comment makes Steel go as stiff as a steel bar…

Steel: U-uhm...P-probably just my friend. He’s a w-weird guy, rambles about a lot of stuff. I h-hang out with him a lot…

Kaage: I don’t like this, Kaede’s right. He ‘smells’ weird as she put it. But I can see something reminiscent of that Ferrari driver on this guy, for sure.

Fang: You believe me, Kaage? I don’t think he should be allowed in.

Steel has gone timid again, and the aura energy is fluctuating again...Both Kaage and Kaede are starting to see the color of the aura. It’s a faint color, but it’s there...Black with burning red.

Steel: C-can I just g-get a b-beer so I can c-calm down?

G wanders out as if all the shouting at the entrance seems stimulating to him.

G: Hmm? What is going on?

Fang & Kaage: This guy is trying to get in - He is a bit off - AH STOP SAYING WHAT I’M SAYING!

Steel: C-can I h-have a b-beer? I just w-want to m-meet the H-Hajime Racers…

G: Hold up then...What is going on here, exactly? This time don’t answer at once.

Ryuu: I’ll say it. Pretty much this guy is wanting to get in to join the Hajime Racers, right? But Kaage & Kaede both came out and they say he shouldn’t be allowed in.

Fang: He shouldn’t! I meanm look how suspicious he is acting! It does make sense.

Kaage: She’s right, it is weird.

Steel looks down at his feet...Good thing he fired up the audio recorder. The energy from him starts to become less uncomfortable...To the point where it just feels like a cold breeze, and then it becomes mild and pleasant as Steel starts to calm down and force himself to stop freaking out. The color around his aura turns to a blue-green for those who can see it.

Kaage: That’s odd...Something seems to have changed… But I still don’t like the way this guy’s acting.

Kaede: I win! Ah. Oh. So now the action’s over?! Awh. Hmm.

G: C’mon guys, I’m sure he just wants to find a cool new racing club.

Steel: I’ll be honest, guys! I’m here just to check out the new team, since I loved the old one. If you guys are still curious, I think my friend had a run in with...Was it Kaage? His name is Dagurasu, but back home I called him Doug.

Kaage: HIM?! Wait, wait?! Why the hell does this guy hang around with that Ferrari driver?!

Kaede: What is it? You raced him then?

Kaage: I did.

Steel: Aye, he mentioned a race with the FD and Countach. I saw the start of the race before he turned up.

G: So he was in a race with Kaage, Dillon and Mizuho?

Steel: Yes, sir.

What got into Steel of a sudden? A few minutes ago, he was a shivering, scared mess.

Fang: Kaede no! This guy isn’t good, he is with that Devil of the Wangan guy!

Kaede: What do you mean? He seems alright to me. Are you talking about that weird thing about him earlier?

Fang: You smelt it too? Hehe. Well then you should know that he is on the opposing team to HR, he is behind their downfall the first time!

Kaede: I don’t think so. Now shut up, let’s see if we can grab some info before letting him in. Kaage seems to know what’s up. This may sound weird, but...Kaage, you seemed angry at the race, right?

Kaage: EH!? … I guess you could say something like that.

Before they can continue with their dialogue, another car turns up. A weird coloured Skyline R32.

*Steel is an American immigrant,, and the GTO is called the 3000 GT in the United States.

[Ayaka] - The finale to the huge act what is 1.2

11:47PM - Ryuu’s pub - Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Ayaka: Oh what’s this? Someone is causing havoc before I even arrive! Hmph.

Ayaka proceeds to park her GTR, then stares at the others while doing her makeup.

Kaage: Wait a second? She is back too!

Kaede: Another person that isn’t invited?

Ryuu: You got that right, Kaede! Let’s see what he says.

Ayaka steps out the GTR, and reveals her model-like looks to everyone, entering the realm like a pop-star.

Ryuu: She then… Ooooh…

Kaage: I can see past that look. She is really like they all are, just wanting their way like they want.

Ayaka: Why hello there! I saw a commotion over here, and thought that V12 looked familiar, too. Kaage, how are you darling?

Kaage: Do I know you?

Ayaka: Ooof! Shots fired.

In the meanwhile, Steel has gone nervous wreck at the sight of another pretty girl. This time, all he can do is let out a pathetic squeak. While no one is looking, he tapes the audio recorder to the inside of the doorway. Out of sight, out of mind. Now he just has to get in.

Kaede: Oh, you were from the race the other day. I am the R35 GTR driver, Kaede.

Ayaka:
Mhm. Anyway, I’m here to see what’s happening, as I said.

Kaage: Another who was just wandering around and stumbled on our meeting point? Gheez… Next time we’re all going to my private estate… Yeah sure you are. Anyway we aren’t accepting any ‘guests’ at the moment. I don’t recall asking you to come here either, same goes for you… Uh I forgot your name? Or did you even say it?!

Steel’s been rendered a stammering, useless mess by the presence of Ayaka.

Steel: Ah-ah-ah-st-ah-ah-ste-uh-I-I-I-I-ah? He squeaks and turns away again.

Kaage: What? I didn’t quite catch that?.. Uh...Anyways...Ayaka sorry, but you’ll have to leave too. We won’t be having any more visitors.

While they were talking, Kaage happened to glance over at a small, matte green Kei car nearby. What is it?

G: Don’t be too hasty, Kaage. Remember, they are both just here to see what’s up.

Ryuu: Mmm. G is right, but I do think...Steel?...Is still rather weird…

Fang: Goddamit! Kaede, you failed! Now they’re going to let in all these weirdos!

Kaede: Mmmm… Ah, dammit. But I thought we came to the conclusion that we aren’t letting anyone in? Right Kaage?

Kaage: Yep. I don’t think we should, since it was organi-

Steel: Hey! What if I gave you everything I have on Dagurasu? You guys sure could use that, since someone you know lost to him…Will that get me in?

Kaede:
Why do we need info on a random pony-car driver?

Kaage: Kaede’s right. I’m sure someone would know other than his friend about the demonic speed of the 512BB…

Steel: Because I’m the one who tuned it last. I did everything by myself, including rebuilding it from scratch.

G: Mmm… I think Kaage tuned it back in the day. This guy might be risky to let in. Eh, what the heck.

Hey, what say we just discuss all this inside? we’ll all catch a cold out here.

Kaage: Ughn… Fine. Alright, have it your way. Just don’t do anything stupid, this is supposed to be a casual meetup to introduce the Hajime Racers once again!

Kaede: I’ll roll with that, then. But I still feel a bad vibe from them both now for some reason.

Steel: He’s mumbling to himself… Original power, 390...torque 355...weight 1460 kilos… Marked in engine bay on right rearward exhaust port: “Wings of the Wangan”... He stops muttering.

Ryuu: Well then. Right this way everyone, come and meet everyone else in the VIP lounge.

Ayaka: Sweet! I want a seat next to Kaage!

Kaede: Not gonna let you.

And so the meeting finally took place, and there was a chat about the rebirth from G.

G: So, today we’re here to announce to everyone - the Hajime Racers’ club!

We don’t like the whole competitive side of things, unless we really have to go down that route. But last time that happened… Well, I won’t bring that up.. Anywho (...)

After G’s big speech, everyone had small discussions amongst each other about this. All except Steel, who was sitting by himself towards the end of the room.

Kaage: So what do you two think?

Dillon:
Sounds… Fun!

Arata: I’m up for this, Kaage. Sounds like our racing times back in the UK. Heh.

Kaage: That’s for damn sure!

Meanwhile, the girls were over in the other corner -

Ayaka: Hmph! I didn’t even get to talk to him. Now I’m stuck with her!

Kaede: This sure is awkward…

Mizuho: So what did you two think of G’s speech? Pretty cool, eh?

Ayaka: Oh, it was alright. I’m having second thoughts on joining.

Kaede: I think it sounds cool. Ayaka seems weird still. Maybe she is connected to that other fellow.

After a few moments, Ryo stumbles back from the bar. He seems slightly drunk…

Ryo: Eh, who is all these peeps? I never seen so many peoples in one bar!

Rin: Dammit, Ryo! I’m off in a moment if you do anything stupid.

With Ryo coming in like this it alerts the whole room, and makes a few laugh.

Arata: Oh boy! Looks like someone had too many drinks! Haha.

Kaage: Mmm… Maybe we should wrap up here. Before anything stupid occurs.

Kaage looks over to G and Ryuu, they both have the same look on their faces too… Seems the meet will end here.

While they’re debating closing the meeting, Steel scribbles down some information on a small scrap of paper and marks it “Ferrari Spec” on the top…

G leaves first, telling everyone about the next event for the club. It will be a meet on the Yokohama highway. It leaves a few with a confused feeling, as not many have even driven the K1 route.

Fang: Hehe… Seems something big must be going down. The K1 is like C1, yet is larger and has more zones to go super quick! I’m excited, you must be too, right Kaede?

Kaede: I guess so. Let’s be off anyway.

Dillon: Well, I’ll be off too. See you everyone!

Ayaka: Bye bye! Oh and Kaage, see you at the K1! - Blows a kiss at Kaage.

Kaage:
Eww. I hope I don’t have to meet her again, I’ll blow her out the water on the K1. Show her the true power of the ‘Wings of the Wangan’. Yeah! Hahaha. Ok, I’ll be off too. Goodbye everyone.

Steel: Aye, Kaage! He runs towards Kaage with the slip of paper.

Arata: Ok, see you everyone!

Mizuho: It was great to see everyone. See you all!

Ryo: I… I can drive, Rin baby… Don’t worry ‘bout me!

Rin: Ughn. No, I’m driving! I don’t care what you say.

Ryuu: Hehe, that was fun! I’m glad everyone came to my pub too, it’s been ages since there was a Hajime Racers meeting here apparently...

Everyone has left, except for Kaage and Steel. Steel’s approaching Kaage now.

Steel: Aye, Kaage. Got a sec?

Kaage: For someone like you, not likely. Oh, whatever. Uh, sure..?

Steel slips the piece of paper into Kaage’s hand with the title “Ferrari Spec” visible. As Steel leaves in his tiny Suzuki, Kaage opens the paper.

...It reads:

1976 Ferrari 512BB, registered to Takenouti, passed down to Dagurasu. Repaired after total loss, cost $430,000. New engine added, power rated at 430 HP. Five speed manual gearbox set-up for 205 MPH. Curb weight, 1,600 kilograms (3527,4 pounds). Handling: able to take “speed trap” at 173 miles per hour (close to 300 km/h).

-Jacob “Steel” Wiseman

Kaage: Eh?! That heavy?! How is this guy even able to go that fast in a heap of pure metal like that! Uh, ok… Thanks?

What a strange guy…

THE END.

Writer notes -

We've reached 100 posts on the thread for story-mode now! Great work guys.

第1章エピソード3

The Shadow Racers
シャドウレーサー

Dagurasu

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dagurasu arrives at his team property after refueling his 512BB. He pulls into the garage where Steel is working on his SSR again.

Dagurasu: Good evening, Jacob.

Steel shouts in alarm and drops his wrench, which lands on and bounces off of his groin. He doubles over in pain.

Dagurasu: ...You ok?

Steel: Y-yeah...how d-did it go boss?

Dagurasu: As typical as you’d expect. I heard people at the station mumbling about the Devil. Did you get the recording?

Steel: Aye...It's over on the counter. While you’re there, can you bring over the differential?

Dagurasu: ...Why do you leave car parts all over the place?

Dagurasu goes over to the counter and gets his recording, and then lugs the differential over to Steel’s workplace.

Dagurasu: I need to go listen to this. Thanks for the intel. Oh, if you see my sister, tell her that I got her the ER34. It’s next to your Dodge-SRT-whatever...And Steel? When you finish with that truck, get some more work done on Project S.

Steel: Project S?! I thought we made it powerful enough already!

Dagurasu: Not powerful enough. The Devil is going to lose eventually, so I need all of the power you can squeeze out of it so I can finally take control of the Wangan.

Dagurasu heads off to his room in the property to set up the audio device. His room is adorned with various car memorabilia, including several rims and a racing helmet. He plops down on his bed and turns on the audio recorder, then listens carefully to everything that was said there.

Dagurasu: Interesting...This is good intel. Steel did screw up, though...That Kaage guy seems a bit full of himself and this G person could spell trouble. I may have to have Aria draw them out to my territory…

========================================================================

Aria

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The quiet putter of a Daihatsu Copen can be heard outside of the Shadow Racers facility. Even though it's a bit out of place, the car is moving as if it belonged there. The lady driving the car pulls it into her assigned garage spaces, and then gets out of the car and approaches Steel.

Aria: Yo, Steel.

Steel: Ack, PRETTY GIRL-oh, it’s just Aria. Yo, Aria. Boss said he found the ER34 you wanted. Check next to the Project car.

Aria: Really?!

She runs over to the Skyline and pulls the covers off of it. Holy crap, it really is a Blitz ER34! Specifically, the D1 Spec from 2004. She really wants to drive it, but she knows her brother would flip out if she took it out with Steel looking at it.

Aria: Wow, he really did find it...I’ll have to thank him when he isn’t being an emo 40-year old.

This gets a suppressed laugh from Steel.

Aria: Honestly, though...He still hasn’t talked to his family.

Steel: He had a family?

Aria: Yeah. He got married and had kids about fifteen years ago. His wife hated that he wanted to fix his father’s car and she left him and took the kids. In all honesty, I think she was a gold digger.

Steel: I...um...wow. I’m just a kid, so I wouldn’t know much of this stuff...He never told me about that back in the U.S.

Aria: Drop the act! You’re 26, dude...Act your age for once.

Aria walks off in a bit of a huff. Jeez, what’s her issue?

========================================================================

Steel

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, then. Boss seemed a bit off today, and Aria’s got a stick up her butt as usual.

Steel considered taking his SSR for a test drive that night, but decided against it since he gets more flak than usual for it at that time of day.

Tomorrow at Kanagawa, then.

The next day, Steel took the SSR out to Kanagawa and deliberately took a longer route to bypass the traffic. He pulled into a small PA on the side of the road, behind a newer Impreza.

Not a bad car, but would it handle the roads? Steel beeped at it and it took off, then dropped to a rolling speed. Must be a showoff. He followed it to the usual starting point and they took off.

The Subaru’s showing off! What a jerk...Steel has absolutely no trouble keeping up with the lightweight Subaru in his 3,700 pound truck. It may be light for a pick-up, but it’s heavier than most of the cars here. It also happens to be the only SSR in existence on Japan. It’s been talked about a little, but nowhere near the level of the Devil.

The Subaru lost his grip! Steel floors it and passes it at 170 km/h, and then leaves it in the dust. The weight did indeed help the grip of the car downhill, but it fights with the brakes...He’ll have to fix that.

On his way home, Steel suddenly had a moment of comprehension. He could use the tricks he learned with the SSR on Project S! Boss will be happy.

That night, Steel decided to take his SRT out for a run on the highway. He locked the power to exactly 450 horsepower and added ballast to it so it weighed 1580 kg and had 50:50 weight distribution. It handled exceptionally well at high speeds. Most people would call him insane for making cars heavier, but there was a fair trade-off that he exploited.

He pulls into the PA and parks next to an odd-colored NSX. After a few minutes, he hears a knock on the window, and looks over-

Steel: WHA! Pretty girl! U-u-u-uh...h-h-h-hi. Crap, wasn’t she at the reunion?!

Mizuho: You’re the guy from earlier! The punk that beat me in the truck...Let’s have a real showdown here.

Steel: O-o-o-ok...I-I-I will l-lead.

Mizuho jumps back in her car and starts it up. Steel moves ahead and then leads down to what Boss said was the typical start point. He floors it and the immense torque of the Viper pushes Steel back in his seat.

The NSX stayed on his tail and would not relent...That is, until they reached the first “speed trap” turn. All of a sudden, the lady in the NSX was nowhere to be seen. She must have freaked out, or didn’t go fast enough through the turn. Steel took the turn at 273 km/h, but could push it further. He turned around and flew down the Westbound side of the highway, leaving the girl in the dust.

Things like this make Steel glad that he’s bad at talking to girls. He’d rather run away from them!

He goes home and takes off the covers to the S Project car. It’s a sleek, black machine, and he would be absolutely disappointed if he wasn’t the one to work on such an amazing machine. But as Boss wants it, he’ll turn it into a monster. He pops open the engine bay in the back and goes to work on the engine. The chassis would be sorted another day...

The End.

Note: This is just a quick intro to everyone in Shadow Racers. I will expand on the characters more as the story progresses.

Chapter 1 - Part 1.4 - Kaage at Hakone Nanamagri

Act 1 - Test time!

6:00AM - Hakone Nanamagari

It’s another early morning on Mt. Hakone, and Kaage is speeding up the touge like no tomorrow in his new test car…

P1.png

A Mazda RX7 FC ‘85. It’s lightly tuned, but seems to be a good enough setup for touge battles.

P2.png

Kaage begins to drift around the next corner, the FC handles really well on a drift, must be the soft springs he requested for it…

Kaage: Heh… I’m glad I bought the special springs, they work really well with my tuning.

P3.png

I wonder when the truck will come with the other cars…

Kaage gets to the PA a lot faster than the support truck, so he decides to check the Hajime forums, seems not a lot is happening at the moment, but some other touge tracks seem to have risen in popularity, including Nanamagari.

P4.png

Kaage: What’s this… Someone made a thread showing tracks and how many racers visit them on early or night hours? Awesome idea. I bet the forum will like this. I’ll be able to tell where the best activity is too, or quiet zones for a practice session.

After around half an hour, the support truck can be heard climbing the mountain with all it’s might. A Isuzu FVR 240, and it’s driver looks to be Arata!

P5.png

Kaage: Here he is… I wonder how the heck he qualified for a trucking licence! Heh…

Arata parks up next to Kaage’s FC in the parking area, and activates the rear door before jumping out of the truck. Inside the container is… A Nissan Skyline R33.

Arata: Special delivery! Haha…

Kaage: Right on time…

Kaage quickly glances at his watch, then back to Arata -

No you’re late. Anyway… I’m glad you got here at least. Since when did you learn to drive heavy vehicles?

Arata: Oh I had my licence since I was in the UK, I got a job as a truck driver exporting goods all over Europe.

Kaage: Who would've guessed? Not me. Anyway down to business. Ok Arata, you’re going to record my times on the downhill, this way I can find out which cars I’ll keep and which I’ll sell.

Arata: Ok Kaage! I’ll use my phone.

Kaage: Right. I’ll get the FC ready. When I set off, start the time, and when I go back over the line here...

Kaage points at a white line that looks to be freshly made with next to no scratches or blemishes. -

That’s when you stop the timer, OK?

Arata: Ok.

As soon as Kaage climbs on in the FC, he starts it and quickly storms over to the start/finish line. Time for a real trail run…

Kaage: Let’s start!

P6.png

P7.png

The FC seems to handle really well actually now… Hmm, let’s try grip this corner this time.

P8.png

Interesting… Seems this setup allows for a great cornering whether it be grip or drift! Amazing!

Ok, so that’s the FC’s test. Now for the R33 GT-R.

Kaage pulls up the FC into the truck, looks like Arata will have another errand to run…

Kaage: Arata! You gotta drop the FC off and go get the next one.

Arata: Who’s going to time you?!

Kaage: I will, but it’ll be a bit off so I’ll give or take a few seconds.

P9.png

Kaage proceeds to get in the R33 next, as Arata drives back down the other way to get the next test car.

Kaage: OK… GTR test in 3. 2. 1…

P10.png

The GTR’s amazing four-wheel drive system makes it pull like crazy on launch, it makes it even hard for Kaage to hold on.

Kaage: Oooof… That’s some power, and it’s only at 400hp! RB26’s are crazy...

Now how does it perform...

P11.png

Oh wow! Easy to drift, in fact… More fun to drift than going round corners normally!

P12.png

I might need to tweek it a bit, but so far… This seems to be a keeper for big touge tracks at the least.

P13.png

P14.png

Since it is the 12 consecutive U turns of Nanamagari… Let’s see how many drifts I can make a combo out of…

P15.png

Awh done already… I only drifted a few U turns. Still very fun. Very nice. Hehe.

And back to the parking area. Hehe… I wonder where my next car is?

Eventually Kaage hears Arata in the support truck again, he parks it next to the GTR, and the next test car is revealed - A Mazda2.

P16.png

Kaage: Aha. The Mazda2, a small FF but a very nimble little car. This will be a quick one I bet.

Arata: It looks like a normal commuters car Kaage! Well, bar the mods.

Kaage: Yep, I guess it’s a touge sleeper then?

Arata: We’ll see… Ok, get going I’ll time you again.

3. 2. 1… Go!

P17.png

Kaage begins the Mazda2 run, it has harsh wheelspin from launch but that is expected in a FF drivetrain.

Kaage: Alright… Let’s see how she handles the turns. Usually FFs are horrible in corners as of too much understeer, but when driven correctly they can be uber quick!

P18.png

Ok here we go, second U turn.

P19.png

Ah, that worked rather nicely, I think I’ll keep the Mazda2 if there is ever a low powered battle…

Arata sees Kaage climbing back up in the Mazda2 awaiting him to cross the finish.

Arata: Eh! Kaage did it faster than the R33 & FC trial?! What… Uh… Kaage that was too fast!

As Arata looks in astonishment, Kaage opens the window and shouts out to Arata: It’s alright man, I only needed to test it on two turns. Haha…

Arata: Ooooh! That makes perfect sense...

Kaage: Ok Arata, next car please. This time hurry up too!

Arata: I can only go as fast as the truck… Dammit Kaage.

Kaage: Hehe, take your time then. I’ll be waiting.

Arata: Ah, fine…

A few moments later… Arata finally get back, and the next test car is revealed - A Porsche Carrera 2.7 RS (930), a very rare car indeed!

Arata: Kaage… How the heck did you get your hands on a 2.7 RS?!

Kaage: I didn’t. It’s a knock-off from a 1970’s Porsche. I got it from a guy who made a replica Ferrari 250 GTO from a 240Z chassis…

Arata: Woah… So he could make say a -

Kaage: He could fabricate about anything given the right chassis and specification. I know what you’re thinking heh. Also he needs a lot of money to make it perfect… So don’t bother. That’s why I snuck this build... The client said he didn’t need it any more and he was halfway through building it, and I decided to pay the rest to get it. Pretty good right?

Arata: That’s great! So, time to run it?

Kaage: Let’s go!

P20.png

Onto the start line, the flat 6 of the Carrera sounds great. Arata gets out the stopwatch again, and Kaage gets ready to begin.

Kaage: Alright, go time! Although I have a bad feeling about this Porsche. I don’t really like RRs on touge…

And start! Ok, let’s try do this smoothly…

P21.png

First corner, bit of oversteer, not too much. Ok, let’s try this next one with more power then!

Kaage puts his foot on the accelerator too much in the mid-corner, and it sends the Porsche into a tailspin.

P22.png

Kaage: Dammit… Knew I’d be no good in this one.

Kaage decides to bring it back uphill, the 2.7 RS isn’t any good for his drivestyle it seems. So next car…

Arata: Woah! Kaage you ok? I heard a huge amount of wheelspin and saw a cloud of smoke… I hope you’re ok.

Kaage: Yep, I’m fine, I only just got the Porsche to avoid hitting the siderail. Anyway… Onto the next car, an RR won’t do for me at touge anyway.

Go fetch the last car Arata, I think there is one last one at least…

Arata: Right on! Wheew, am I glad this is the final car… Or it might not be, Kaage might just be annoying me…

Kaage: By the look on his face right now, I bet he knows that there is two cars left, hahaha!

After a few minutes again, it’s not the truck that comes up, but turns out it’s two British lightweight cars.

Kaage: What the?.. Who is driving my other test car here?!

Kaage has a closer look, and it is…

Kaage: Kaede! Huh!

Arata: Thanks for helping me out Kaede, I’m glad you were around Hakone. I didn’t take you for a touge runner though…

Kaede: Oh yeah, it seems to be more popular than Wangan, so I thought I’d have a go.

They both arrive in the spots next to Kaage, Kaage wanders over slowly before asking:

Kaede! What brings you here? Heh, at least you helped me out by bringing my second test car. Thanks.

Kaede steps out of the Triumph Spitfire, a very small car… Seems she is wondering the obvious question.

Kaede: Kaage… How the heck are you going to fit in a Triumph?!

Kaage: Oh easy, I fitted super small bucket seats in there, surely you were on the floor?

Kaede: Hehe. I guess I was.

Arata: Oh no, it’s now a date between them two. Ah-haha.

Kaage: Thanks for bringing the cars, now I gotta test them, and I’m sure Arata can get you back to your GTR or wherever in the Lotus Elan Sprint, I’ll catch you later then.

Kaede: Sure, thank you too. Bye!

Arata drives off with Kaede, and Kaage starts up the Spitfire, time for the trial.

Kaage: Alright, time to get the trials over with, I’m getting tired, and what, it’s still early!

Kaage sets off and the time attack begins.

P23.png

Kaage: I best watch the Triumph's suspension, they are known to fail all the time...

P24.png

After a full downhill run, Kaage decides to grab a snack at the base from a convenient vending machine.

Kaage: Ah… Much better.

Suddenly, an intense air rises. Someone is entering Nanamagari at high speed.

P25.png

A wedged shaped missile flies by at an amazing speed, it looks to be breaking the sound barrier even…

Kaage: Holy hell! That is quick, and the scream of that engine! It must be something mighty, but the look of the car… I’ve never seen anything so mad and retro-futuristic looking before.

Soon after and the noise still zooming around, another car is heard oncoming the track.

P26.png

Kaede’s GTR…

Kaage: Wait what… Are they racing? It doesn’t seem it, but the other driver was sure in a hurry…

Anyway, back to the top, I’ll test the Elan now. I best get up there before Arata too, it’s likely he tried chasing those two in my Elan…

Eventually Kaage gets to the start once again for the last time, with the Elan just around the corner, perfect timing.

Kaage: Wheew. Only just got here before Arata.

Arata: Ok Kaage, here is the Elan, now please can I go?..

Kaage: Fine, but the other cars, get them back to my house. Haha.

Arata: Goddamit. I best get paid for this!

Kaage: Unlikely, I like to keep my money to myself heh…

Now time for the Elan. It’s an extreme lightweight, and classes as a ‘Kei’ car. That explains the yellow licence plate. I think this will be one white knuckle ride, even with such low HP, a light car is mental on the downhill short courses. Even a GTR isn’t safe!

P29.png

Kaage sets off on this so called ‘white knuckle ride’ in the small Lotus. It seems to be picking up speed from the moment elevation change starts…

P30.png

Kaage: Hmm… Any lighter and this might fly at the slightest of bumps, aha.

P31.png

I don’t think I’ll be reducing the weight on this any more, I’ll maybe add some!

The looks of this superlight classic are awesome, I mean you can’t not like flip up lights…

Annnnd… 2:01.306. Pretty good.

Now, let's get back home, I got bored of testing a while back and it took too long. Aha…

P32.png

_________________________________________________________________________________________________

A few moments ago at the bottom of Nanamagari…

Kaede: Hmm.. Something is strange -

Fang: - as if a mighty force is upon us…

Arata looks over to Kaede, she looks focused yet out of it.

Arata: Yo Kaede..?

Kaede: Oh Arata! What is it? Wheew, I was too worked up. I bet it’s nothing anyway, just Fang messing with me again mmm?

Arata pulls over at the small parking area at the side, Kaede’s R35 is parked there.

Kaede: Ah, thanks for the lift Arata. I’ll be going now!

Arata: Hey -

Kaede: Hmm?

Arata: You are ok right?

Kaede: Yep! Don’t worry about me.

Arata: Ok then… See you later.

Kaede steps out of the Elan, and begins thinking about the reunion the other night. About the weird ‘Steel’ fellow, and the meeting at the K1…

Kaede: So… I guess we’ll see that 512BB guy at the meet maybe, since his friend was ‘spying’ on us in the meeting…

Fang: Mhm. We will also see if Kaage is who he really says he is. He is way too young to be the true guy back in ‘86 when the original HR was around… I wonder if the true one is related to him, a friend maybe? That might be how he got his skills, but he can’t be the best. I see fear in his eyes when he faces an opponent…

Out of nowhere a heavy sound emits around both Kaede and Arata.A powerful machine is driving closer…

???: - Rumor has it, he is testing cars right here right now. I wonder if the information is right?

A Dome Zero swoops around the corner and passes Kaede at a tremendous speed, it makes her legs shake even…

Kaede: What the -

Fang: Hell… Is that… The person in question?

Before any word is said, Fang races into the GTR and immediately performs a J-turn to chase uphill the mystery driver of the obscure Dome…

THE END

Arata: We’ll see… Ok, get going I’ll time you again.

3. 2. 1… Go!

View attachment 461306

Kaage begins the Mazda2 run, it has harsh wheelspin from launch but that is expected in a FF drivetrain.

Kaage: Alright… Let’s see how she handles the turns. Usually FFs are horrible in corners as of too much understeer, but when driven correctly they can be uber quick!

View attachment 461307

Ok here we go, second U turn.

View attachment 461308

View attachment 461309

Onto the start line, the flat 6 of the Carrera sounds great. Arata gets out the stopwatch again, and Kaage gets ready to begin.

Kaage: Alright, go time! Although I have a bad feeling about this Porsche. I don’t really like RRs on touge…

And start! Ok, let’s try do this smoothly…

View attachment 461310

First corner, bit of oversteer, not too much. Ok, let’s try this next one with more power then!

Kaage puts his foot on the accelerator too much in the mid-corner, and it sends the Porsche into a tailspin.

View attachment 461311

View attachment 461312

Kaage: I best watch the Triumph's suspension, they are known to fail all the time...

View attachment 461313

After a full downhill run, Kaage decides to grab a snack at the base from a convenient vending machine.

Kaage: Ah… Much better.

Suddenly, an intense air rises. Someone is entering Nanamagari at high speed.

View attachment 461314

A wedged shaped missile flies by at an amazing speed, it looks to be breaking the sound barrier even…

Kaage: Holy hell! That is quick, and the scream of that engine! It must be something mighty, but the look of the car… I’ve never seen anything so mad and retro-futuristic looking before.

Soon after and the noise still zooming around, another car is heard oncoming the track.

View attachment 461315

View attachment 461318

Kaage sets off on this so called ‘white knuckle ride’ in the small Lotus. It seems to be picking up speed from the moment elevation change starts…

View attachment 461319

Kaage: Hmm… Any lighter and this might fly at the slightest of bumps, aha.

View attachment 461320

I don’t think I’ll be reducing the weight on this any more, I’ll maybe add some!

The looks of this superlight classic are awesome, I mean you can’t not like flip up lights…

Annnnd… 2:01.306. Pretty good.

Now, let's get back home, I got bored of testing a while back and it took too long. Aha…

View attachment 461321

THE END
Well that's a bit unlikely, the Dome Zero is basically a museum car, I doubt that anyone would trash it on a mountain pass  but I'm loving this so far

Alternate reality where the Zero made it to production. Or it's a replica/stolen.

It could be a replica car.. i've seen one kit car [horribly build and used a porsche boxer as base] but did see one

But it is quite intriguing..

I know when i saw the picture i was going through brain encyclopedia of cars and ended in between a dome zero or a garaiya

Hajime racers - Chapter 1 - Part 1.5 - Tuning time (Part 1)

Wangan Eastbound - 8:00PM

C1 P1.5 - Part 1.png

Dillon and Kaage are cruising on the highway, and are headed to the RE Amemiya station. Kaage appears to be observing Dillon closely...

Dillon: It’s finally time to get this FD tuned right… Ryosuke recommended that I get it serviced by RE Amemiya...I hope they do a good job tuning the car.

Kaage:
Yo! Look over there… Hahaha!

C1 P1.5 - Part 2.png

Dillon: What the hell is that thing? Uber-ricer…

Kaage:
Heh… Yep.

Anyways, since we’re bringing this car to RE Amemiya, why don’t you have one last run at this spec? It’s what I’ve always done after testing and upgrading.

Dillon:
Hmm...

Anyway, what say we go for a run, FD?

Hehe… That’s a yes then.

Dillon: Alright, sure. I’ll begin the run… Now!

Dillon floors it and the FD takes off like a speeding bullet.

C1 P1.5 - Part 3.png

Kaage: Wow… Maybe it doesn’t need tuning after all?

Dillon: Best try my hardest...The ‘Wings of the Wangan’ himself is here after all...

Dillon continues blasting past traffic, keeping the FD at full speed. Kaage looks over at him, and he appears to be very interested in the potential Dillon has.

Kaage: Good good, keep going.

Dillon: He’s impressed easy, I haven’t even started! Or is it encouragement?

C1 P1.5 - Part 4.png

Kaage: A Spyker? Interesting… Never seen one in Japan before.

Dillon: Time to show off my true power! Kaage will notice my aura, too!

C1 P1.5 - Part 6.png

Kaage:
He looks like he’s in the zone… I can feel the true power from both car and person. Man, is this a ride and a half…

C1 P1.5 - Part 7.png

After they leave the underground tunnels, they arrive at RE Amemiya’s workshop in the Chiba prefecture. After they exit the underground tunnels, they eventually reach RE Amemiya’s central workshop in the Chiba prefecture. Mr. Isami Amemiya is at the front desk waiting for them both to pull in.

Kaage: There he is, at the front desk. You best go see him, I’ll take the train home after it’s all set up.

Dillon: Alright, see you later Kaage!

Kaage: Hopefully we’ll meet again soon!

Dillon: Haha, I bet that’s so you can observe me more Kaage. He wants to know everything so it’s easier to defeat me at wangan, but you’ll never beat me.

Dillon continues to walk to the entrance, as Kaage fades off to the train station. Dillon walks in and is greeted by Isami.

Isami: Hello there. You must be Dillon then? I’ve heard a lot about your white rotary rocket. Hehe, it’s made quite the word all over the highway scene. I’ve heard that the infamous ‘Divine 12’ might even be making a comeback… But that doesn’t matter, what is it you wanted done to your mighty FD, again?

Dillon: Hmm… Maybe take word from Kaage, a bigger turbo and intake tuning, then an ECU re-map along with a transmission adjustment. That’ll work well, or so he says.

I’ll have a upgraded turbo, intake tuning, a ECU remap and adjustment to the gearing.

Isami: Say, you know your way about the wangan then? Most people only think that you need power upgrades, but it’s necessary to make sure that it’s adjusted afterwards too.

Dillon: Mmm, Kaage was right then. Mr. Amemiya is a master tuner like Kaage is, or so he says he is as well. Haha.

While Dillon waits for Isami and the tuners to work on the FD, he dozes off. Meanwhile...

Kaage is on his way back to the house via train, and appears to be lost in thought...

Kaage: ...It’s only a matter of time before they find out -

A bump from a moving passenger makes Kaage lose his train of thought.

- Oh… What was I saying again? Nevermind. I hope I can race ruwan one day on the wangan. I’ll use my restoration project to it’s potential!

Back at RE Amemiya…

RE Amemiya workshop - 9:51PM

Isami:
The work is done, Dillon!

Dillon: Ack!

Dillon snaps out of his small nap and sees Isami in front of him.

Isami: Hehe… It’s best to catch up on your sleep. Now then, your FD…

Dillon walks over to the back with Isami… Then the new ‘Rotary rocket’ is revealed!

C1 P1.5 - Part 20.png

C1 P1.5 - Part 21.png

C1 P1.5 - Part 22.png

Isami:
I also tweaked the aero a bit just for you. Don’t worry, no extra charge, just my token of appreciation for getting the tune here. It’ll bring all the rotary guys of the Wangan here. Haha!

Dillon: I’m really that famous? Who would've known?

Thanks Isami, I’ll call again if I need any more upgrades.

Isami:
Dillon?

Dillon: Yep?

Isami: Is there any chance you could run one of my employees, he wants to race you on the Tomei expressway in his R34. He says to meet you there tomorrow at early morning, since he travels on the Tomei eastbound to get here for work. Around 6:30AM sound good?

Dillon: Ok… Sure. If I can wake at an earlier time even. Aha.

Isami: Alright, see you later Dillon, have fun with the FD!

Dillon: Yep, think I’ll test it on the way home. Thanks again!

The next day…

Tomei Expressway - 6:40AM

Dillon: So where is this guy?

C1 P1.5 - Part 8.png

Dillon is cruising down the Tomei, looking for the GTR.

C1 P1.5 - Part 9.png

Dillon: Darn, Isami didn’t tell me the worker’s name, or even the color of the R. Hmm...

Suddenly a jade-colored R34 flies past Dillon.

C1 P1.5 - Part 10.png

Dillon: It’s gotta be him! He is asking for a race doing things like that!

C1 P1.5 - Part 11.png

Dillon begins the duel, and already the FD picks up and passes the employee’s GTR. The speedy FD continues to gain speed as is swoops down the expressway.

C1 P1.5 - Part 12.png

Employee: Aaah! The rumors are true! This guy is insanely fast!

C1 P1.5 - Part 13.png

The RE Amemiya employee flashes his lights. He must have had enough of the butt-kicking Dillon was dealing.

Dillon: Oh, he’s asking me to slow down. An easy win for me? Heh.

Employee: Hey! You’re Dillon right? I got to work on your FD yesterday. I’m Juro Maki.

Dillon: Nice to meet you, Juro. Seems like your GTR needs some more work… Maybe you should get a rotary too?

Juro: I think I will! Maybe a white RX7 FD like yours!

Dillon: Heh, I’d like that. Anyways, I’ve got to go meet my friend now. I’ll see you later.

Juro:
Ok, hope you come for another tune at RE Amemiya!

Dillon: I likely will, bye!

C1 P1.5 - Part 14.png

Dillon storms off to get to the next offramp. He is off to one of the roads near Hakone, for a special meet with Ryosuke…

To be continued...

Hajime racers - Chapter 1 - Part 1.5 - Tuning time (Part 2)

Meanwhile, at the shop…..

Takata scratches his head. Looking at his beloved r32 that’s been out of action due to the wangan. The effects haven’t worn off as of yet. He awaited eagerly. For something.

He already replaced the engine in the r32. So it was time to take it out again. A fresh new rb26dett, untouched and not modified in the slightest. He was satisfied with how the suspension was tuned. The oversteer made the corners more fun in a way, the r32 always finding a way to straighten itself out due to the awd.

Takata drove around the touge for a little bit, stretching r32’s legs. This engine was more powerful than the previous, he could feel it in the low rpms, and when he barely touched the throttle.

“This will take some getting used to” Takata said to himself as all 4 wheels squealed as he accelerated forward.

Takata could not stop smiling or laughing at the feeling of being in the r32 again, going fast around corners , letting the tail slide out a bit more than usual. Everytime he felt the turbo wind up, and kick in, he was pushed far back into his seat as it rockets forward on the straights.

He could hear another car in the distance, the engine sounded similar to his but he wasn’t able to spot it just yet. Sounded like it was above him.

Takata was cruising down Hakone, getting a feel for the new suspension settings and the engine. The familiar engine note was now right beside him as he was daydreaming a little bit. Takata looks over to see Dillon!

“Hey it’s great to see a friendly face on the touge this early in the afternoon!” He looked over at Dillon, smiling and motioning to speed up a bit. A friendly duel, nothing to win, or lose. The thrill of the speed, and the connection between the GTRS, this was going to be a fun battle.

GTR part 2.png

Takata and Dillon both hit the throttle hard, their cars becoming unstable for a split second before the tires grasping the road. Both side by side as they enter the first corner.

GTR part 3.png

Dillon braked the same time, as Takata flung his r32 a little bit to the outside, barely avoiding a collision.

GTR part 5.png

GTR part 6 edit.png

After a long corner, they were still side by side, Takata saw a hairpin coming up, and pulled the e-brake, the r32 violently spinning before catching it at the perfect rpm gliding through the first hairpin, Dillon, mere centimeters away from him.

C1 P1.5 - Part 15.png

It was even more fun than he thought. Through the bonds of friendship, trust, and confidence. They were evenly matched. Nothing could stop them.

C1 P1.5 - Part 16.png

Dillon saw how Takata was drifting and gliding through the corners, and started drifting also. This wasn’t just a run of the mill touge battle, It was a drift battle at the hairpins as well.

GTR part 8.png

Neither of them let up, if they were to crash or hit something, they would take It as a learning experience.

GTR part 14.png

They both were having the most intense race, but neither felt that way about it. To them it was having fun, testing eachothers skills at each opportunity. Even though they started as rivals, they quickly became friends. The passion of the GTR, touge, and drifting connected them.

GTR part 16.png

The pace sped up a bit, the more comfortable they got, inching closer and closer through straights, and hairpins, letting eachother take the lead.

GTR part 17.png

Takata could feel something, it was an odd sensation. He welcomed it, without thinking, he stepped on the brake, as if he could feel that Dillon was about to brake, a millisecond before him, ending up in one of the most epic tandems through the hairpin section. Nobody was there to watch, Luckily, they both had cameras attached to their cars. Insurance purposes mainly. But it captured everything. Something to post on the message boards.

GTR part 19.png

They keep going at it, both of them. Tires worn, suspensions beat up. Gas running out. They knew they had to end it soon. The only problem was there was no victor. Every move Takata made, Dillon mirrored it perfectly, and vice versa. At this time, they were in a league of their own. Untouchable.

GTR part 21.png

They reached the straight. They couldn’t pull in front of eachother this time, and took the corner side by side again.

Dillon rockets forward, surprising Takata a bit as he did the same, boosting right onto his tail, this was the most dangerous race, but they seemed to make it look effortless.

Flames shot out of the r34, as they raced to a tight corner, no fear, just well timed braking at the last second. The r34 drifting around the corner, the r32? Right behind him.

It was exhilarating, the intense aura grew and grew as they learned more about eachother’s driving style, making it into one.

The race felt as if it had gone on for hours, and hours. Realistically they’ve only been driving for about 45 minutes. Every second adrenaline filled, and tire ripping.

Dillon signaled Takata, the race is over as they pulled up next to eachother cruising at the same speeds. Looking at eachother in excitement as if their faces had the words emitting from them.

“Did you just see that? Dillon! That was amazing”

They stepped out of their gtrs, Brakes and tires steaming as they sat on the grass, and hooked into their cameras, watching some of the raw footage in awe.

“That’s us….” Dillon exclaimed

Takata couldn’t hold in the excitement

“Look how close we got! You can see my speedometer almost with how close you were”

They were like 2 schoolgirls, watching a new music video. Pointing out different things. Feeling proud of themselves for being able to accomplish a feat like this. They knew it was a tie. They were both happy about it., with a race such as that. A tie is the greatest victory of all.

They stayed sitting in the grass and trading stories. The sun even started going down.

Both of them at the same time exclaimed

“I’m really hungry”

Then laughed it off, Hopping into their gtrs. Driving to the city at a diner that was pretty cheap.

They exchanged phone numbers, and agreed to do that again sometime. They ate and talked, Dillon showed Takata an ad.

It was a ’02 r34, white like his, but it had an aftermarket spoiler. Takata thought about it, his r32 had been through a lot recently. It would look even better next time they were to race if they had the same car. Takata looked at Dillon.

We could find some teams, and the 2 of us could probably take them out easy!

Dillon replied enthusiastically,

“2 white r34s…… Touge spectres.”

Hey, I heard that you were going to hit the wangan? Is that right? It scared me last time, I don’t know if I’m ready for that.

Dillon replied

Yeah I have a someone with extensive tuning knowledge riding with me tonight. You should come too.

“I don’t think I’ll be driving, but I’ll show up and watch of course!”

They shook hands as they got up, Dillon had to get ready for his big wangan night. Takata chased down the ad for the r34. They didn’t want too much, seemed like a college student that needed to pay the rest of his tuition that was selling it.

Hajime racers - Chapter 1 - Part 1.5 - Tuning time (Part 3)

Dillon: Wheew… After a battle like that, I’m glad that Ryosuke asked me to get over here. Now, to actually get to the meetup spot.

C1 P1.5 - Part 17.png

Dillon reaches the location on his GPS, seems to be a small estate. he sees Ryo’s FC parked up next to a Italian restaurant. As soon as Dillon parks, Ryosuke exits with the scent of Italian food on him.

Dillon: Enjoy your meal?

Ryosuke: Yeah, that was a fantastic restaurant. Anyways, down to business… Come round the back, I got to show you something.

They both walk around, and what is revealed is a boxy car under a cover.

Dillon: What’s this?

Ryosuke: Help me take off the cover.

Dillon: Ok then…

C1 P1.5 - Part 18.png

The car is revealed! It’s a quite rusty old AE86 Trueno... It has a broken windscreen, leaking oil, cable ties on the bumpers and some broken lights too.

Dillon: Is this the project car you told me about?

Ryosuke: Yep. This is your AE86. It’ll need some work before it’s road worthy, but only you can work on it. Don’t call in anyone in to do it, it’s yours for a reason. This is to help you understand cars better.

Dillon: Right, if you say so. I guess I’ll have to leave it here, I can’t transport it at all…

Ryosuke: I’ll handle that. I have to go now anyway, I’d suggest you get home too, you’ll need to rest up, as you’ll be working on that for a while…

Dillon: Yeah… This is going to be a long restoration. Ok. I’ll see you round.

Dillon and Ryosuke part ways, as both RX7s leave in different directions on the hill.

THE END.

Hajime racers - Chapter 1 - Part 1.6 - The return of ‘The Divine 12’

Hakone - 12:30 PM

Hello, my name is Saburou. I’m 19 years old, and I’ve come here to Hakone representing the Divine 12… My home course is Kirigamine, and I’ve practiced there longer than I’ve been in school. That’s one of the reasons why the ‘top dog’ apparently chose me to be a part of his new team, I think this will be one hell of a fun experience!

As for right now...this old guy, Goro Itsuki, and I are in a convoy headed to Hakone’s summit. He seems nice, but he can be really cranky. Let’s see where this goes…

Ah, top of the mountain. Seems there is a meet here, like Goro said there would. I wonder who I’ll race today?

Part 1.png

They both proceed to pull up next to some other cars at the parking area. One driver has a Nissan Skyline R34, and the other is a rare Ferrari F40. A very rare car indeed, but they are about as common as the Isuzu Piazza turbos that putter around here.

Part 2.png

Goro decides to introduce himself and Saburou to the other racers.

Goro: Hey, you two want to race us? The mighty Divine 12 members?! Haha.

The guy who owns the black F40 responds: Nah, I’ll pass. I’m just passing through…

Goro: Heh, one down already… He must know us...In fact, he looks familiar.

Anyone else?..

Takata: Ok, sure. I need to test my car with no ABS anyway. Name’s Takata by the way, nice to meet you both.

Goro: I’m Itsuki, Goro Itsuki, CEO of GI industries.

Saburou: Hey there, I’m Saburou. Nice to meet you, too. I’ll race you first then?

Goro looks in anger at Saburou taking the first challenge, it was Goro’s plan to win the first race after all...

Goro: Ugh… Fine then Saburou, go and win, show them how the Divine 12 does it!

Saburou and Takata both start their cars and get to the start line, seems that Saburou has a smile on his face…

Part 3.png

Saburou: While driving up here, I observed the whole track bottom to top. I can go at about 90%, this should be fun knowing Hakone is more of a speedy track than good old’ Kirigamine.

Alright, ready when you are, Takata.

Takata: OK! Let’s have a countdown then, Goro?

Saburou’s Theme

Goro: Right you are then. 3, 2, 1…

GO!

Part 4.png

Both cars start, and stay side by side down the first straight.

Then, Saburou lets off the throttle.

Part 5.png

Takata: Huh? He let off?

Saburou: This might work.

As they enter the first corner, Takata lost his concentration after Saburou's move, and forgets to brake early to offset the lack of ABS.

Part 6.png

Takata: Ach, no!

He nearly loses it, but only just manages to stay on track.

Now on a straight again, Takata’s GTR easily catches the WRX.

Part 7.png

Saburou:
NOW!

Part 8.png

On the approaching the corner Saburou does his early brake again, but instantaneously stamps back on the accelerator, sending the Impreza into the corner slightly faster, and he swoops on the inside taking on Takata’s R34, and succeeding.

Part 9.png

Saburou: Ok, I’m in front. Now it’s time to really go. This is going to be fun!

Part 10.png

Moving rapidly through the corners, Saburou’s Impreza gains more and more on Takata and his GT-R.

Part 11.png

Takata: What the..? How is he going so fast!?

Part 12.png

Saburou: 4WD and the boxer engine, such a great combo which has proven to win in endless rallies worldwide, but… It works just as well on the road!

Part 13.png

Saburou’s lead continues to advance over Takata, as well as Takata not doing as well from no ABS for the first time, this race is almost decided.

Part 14.png

Saburou: Ok Goro, you better be watching, cause now I’m going all out!

Part 15.png

Part 16.png

Part 17.png

An explosive backfire emits from Saburou’s exhaust, as he begins his 100% run.

Part 18.png

Going closer and closer to the edge of the road, his tires nearly off in gravel, Saburou is completely dominating Takata now.

Part 19.png

His orangey-red aura begins to appear. A flare of it can be seen from the parking area even.

Goro: Hehe. You go, kid! Hmm. Seems that our leader was right about Saburou, he has got talent to near match his!

Part 20.png

Saburou continues to drive as fast as it is possible, but he is straining. He may even be over his limit.

Part 21.png

Saburou: Damm… I don’t feel well, this intense time attack against myself… It really takes it out of me.

Part 22.png

Although, he continues to get down the touge as fast as a jet, Takata is only just catching him.

Takata:
There he is! C'mon R… Just a bit further…

Part 23.png

But before Takata catches on the final stretch, Saburou takes the win.

Saburou: Wahoo, what an awesome run… Now I need a rest.

Takata and Saburou pull over at Hakone’s entry parking area, Takata can see Saburou is out of it from that easily.

Part 24.png

Meanwhile, another car has arrived at the peak, and the F40 guy left. A Nissan ER34, and with the D1 livery on it. A very close replica, maybe it’s actually the real one…

Aria: Ah, who’re these guys? Some losers…?

Part 25.png

Goro: Hmm? Oh yes! Finally someone to race against!

Part 26.png

Aria: Hey, you. Who are you? I’ve never seen you before here.

Goro: Ah, I am Itsuki, Goro Itsuki of GI industries. You are?

Aria: Goro? Like the four-armed a**wipe in Mortal Kombat?

Goro: A what now? Some gibber-jabber? Eh. Whatever, do you wanna race or what? I figure that’s what you came up here for in a car like that…

Aria: Of course. Before we race, tell me what team you’re hailing from. My brother’s been bugging me to find out about new teams in the area.

Goro: Oooh… My team is the best around! It has been the best for a long time, since way back in ‘86! The mighty Divine 12!

Upon hearing “Divine 12”, Aria chokes up a bit. This was the team her father raced against in the 1980s and 1990s before his death! Now it’s personal.

Aria: I find it hard to believe that an old coot like you are part of that team. After all, my father beat you guys around back in the 1980s.

Goro: Eh? No such man won against us! Oh… She must be with those guys. Hehe. Time to dominate!

Aria: I’ll beat you here and now, for Takenouti. She’s getting fired up, and opens the door to her Blitz ER34.

Goro freezes for a second or two before it hits him, it wasn’t a Hajime Racer he was going against, it’s a member of ‘The Shadow Racers.’

Goro: This might be tougher than I thought. I’ll have to try my best. Can’t let down on the name of the Divine 12 now can I?

Aria hops in the ER34 and fires it back up, and the heavily modified RB26 roars to life. She pulls out and lines up at the starting line. Her aura is starting to flare out, and it’s a light blue...

Goro: Not red, good. Haha! Alright then… Ok, we will start on 1!

Aria: Understood.

She revs the super RB26, and smiles at the vicious rumble that erupts out of the exhaust. Although, she feels something is off with Goro’s proposal...Like he’d jump the gun. She steels herself for anything that could happen.

Goro: 3, 2…

Part 27.png

Goro’s theme

Goro sets off and the wheelspin of his Z catches up a load of smoke, is the 370Z a drift car too?

Goro: Ahaha! Always gets them.

A few seconds later, he peeks in his mirror to see the ER34 keeping up with him almost flawlessly despite the jump start.

Part 28.png

Goro: Time for the best strategy ever made! Drifting time…

At the first corner, Goro grabs hold of the handbrake. It’s a drift-style long stick, which makes it easy to maneuver in drifts. Next, he slices it down. It is drift time.

Part 29.png

Goro: Here comes the drift train! You’ll never overtake me now!

Aria notices what Goro is trying to do and just sighs.

Part 30.png

Aria: Really, old man? You’re leaving yourself wide open on the outside of the turns here…I’m not going to overtake him just yet...I have a tactic in mind: messing with his head by staying back a bit.

Aria backs off a bit to give them some space in between them, and then nearly perfectly maintains a distance of about 40 meters between the two cars.

Part 31.png

Corner after corner, Goro continues to drift each one near-perfectly. It’s as if he has been doing this all day every day.

Part 32.png

Goro: This is great, I’m in the lead… But something seems off. That girl… Hmm.

Part 33.png

By now, they’re starting to get close to the final stretch at the bottom of Hakone. This was it. Goro has to win this to keep the Divine 12 name infamous so they can get their way with the region. Aria’s being stubborn and keeping pace with Goro, and just waiting for a perfect overtake opportunity...She loses concentration for a second and slips on the dirt!

Part 34.png

Fortunately she recovers quickly and starts to push the ER34 right to its limits, with the tires groaning and screeching in agony. They get on the final straightaway…

Part 35.png

Aria: NOW!

She slams the pedal to the floor and the RB26 roars as she starts gaining quickly on Goro. The split-second before they cross the finish line, Aria passes Goro. Although Goro being the old cheat he is, he ‘tries’ to prove it was a tie.

Part 36.png

Aria: I guess you really are just a grouchy old man. She reaches into her ER34 and pulls a small black device off of her windshield. She holds it up just out of arm’s reach of Goro. This is a dashboard camera. If you continue to insist that it was a tie, I will post this to YouTube and humiliate you even more.

Goro: You b-what now?! Eh. If we keep this confidential, boss won’t have me. Hehe.

Ok ok. You win, but listen here...I have connections. You say that I even had this race and…

Aria: Like I’m scared of some Yakuza connections or whatever. She heads back over to the ER34 and reattaches the camera. She turns back towards him. Now listen, old man. This is a warning for the entire Divine 12 team. For your own good, and your lives, stay the **** away from the Bayshore route. Ani* will kill you if he sees you there.

*Older brother (Dagurasu)

Goro: Ugh, fine. Bye bye now.

Goro storms out of there in his Z, he doesn’t look happy at all.

Goro: Gotta find Saburou… He can storm her down Kirigamine. Huehue!

The next day, Aria posts the video of Goro losing to her with the title “Divine 12 epic fail”. It quickly goes viral, netting a total of 300,000 views by the end of that week. One of the other D12 members comes across it and shows it to Goro and the boss...

THE END...?

Hajime racers - Chapter 1 - Part 1.5 - Tuning time (Part 1)

Dedicated to ruwan1969/TorqueAE86

Wangan Eastbound - 8:00PM

Dillon and Kaage are cruising on the highway, and are headed to the RE Amemiya station. Kaage appears to be observing Dillon closely...

Dillon: It’s finally time to get this FD tuned right… Ryosuke recommended that I get it serviced by RE Amemiya...I hope they do a good job tuning the car.

Kaage:
Yo! Look over there… Hahaha!

View attachment 469391

Dillon: What the hell is that thing? Uber-ricer…

Kaage:
Heh… Yep.

Anyways, since we’re bringing this car to RE Amemiya, why don’t you have one last run at this spec? It’s what I’ve always done after testing and upgrading.

Dillon:
Hmm...

Anyway, what say we go for a run, FD?

Hehe… That’s a yes then.

Dillon: Alright, sure. I’ll begin the run… Now!

Dillon floors it and the FD takes off like a speeding bullet.

View attachment 469392

Kaage: Wow… Maybe it doesn’t need tuning after all?

Dillon: Best try my hardest...The ‘Wings of the Wangan’ himself is here after all...

Dillon continues blasting past traffic, keeping the FD at full speed. Kaage looks over at him, and he appears to be very interested in the potential Dillon has.

Kaage: Good good, keep going.

Dillon: He’s impressed easy, I haven’t even started! Or is it encouragement?

View attachment 469393

Kaage: A Spyker? Interesting… Never seen one in Japan before.

Dillon: Time to show off my true power! Kaage will notice my aura, too!

View attachment 469394

Kaage:
He looks like he’s in the zone… I can feel the true power from both car and person. Man, is this a ride and a half…

Most people only thing that you need power upgrades, but it’s necessary to make sure that it’s adjusted afterwards too.

View attachment 469396

Dillon is cruising down the Tomei, looking for the GTR.

View attachment 469397

Dillon: Darn, Isami didn’t tell me the worker’s name, or even the color of the R. Hmm...

Suddenly a jade-colored R34 flies past Dillon.

View attachment 469411

Dillon: It’s gotta be him! He is asking for a race doing things like that!

View attachment 469398

Dillon begins the duel, and already the FD picks up and passes the employee’s GTR. The speedy FD continues to gain speed as is swoops down the expressway.

View attachment 469399

Employee: Aaah! The rumors are true! This guy is insanely fast!

View attachment 469400

Dillon storms off to get to the next offramp. He is off to one of the roads near Hakone, for a special meet with Ryosuke…

To be continued...
Wonderful new part.
