Speaking of which, I have really been wondering why all these new border patrol commercials have been showing up in the past few days......
Because there are certain groups that believe that we are already in an immigration crisis or one is just over the horizon. They might be on to something, which might be why they are building new detention centers.

Or they could all just a be a bunch of nuts and this could be something different.

Actually, these commercials have been from the U.S. Customs.

Actually, these commercials have been from the U.S. Customs.
Because the full name of the organization is US Customs and Border Protection.

According to their website they are launcing a new program.
Secure Border Initiative: SBInet Program
02/07/2006
Secure Border Initiative (SBI) is a comprehensive multi-year plan to secure America’s borders and reduce illegal migration.

This might explain the Halliburton contract too.

Yeah, it all seems to fit, doesn't it? Looks like an economy-wrecking Mexican oil crunch may not be far away, our fearless leaders know it's coming, and they're getting ready for what will inevitably transpire. Give 'em credit for advance preparation...

Personally, I think America needs to cut back on the whole immigration thing, especially the illegal kind. I live in Ohio, where illegal immigration isn't really a problem, but I hear it is down south.

Yikes! The Mexican oil production situation may be way worse than it looked:

http://www.fcnp.com/550/peakoil.htm

"Last week, somebody leaked the top secret PEMEX Cantarell Depletion study, and guess what? The situation might just well be a whole lot worse than the Mexicans have been letting on.

"An energy consultant in Mexico City published parts of the study and later the Wall Street Journal got to examine the document. It seems there is only 825 feet between the gas cap over the oil and the water that is pushing into Cantarell from the bottom. This distance is closing at between 250 and 360 feet per year.

"The more pessimistic of the study's scenarios have Cantarell's production dropping from 2 million b/d to 875 thousand barrels a day by the end of next year and 520 thousand barrels a day by the end of 2008."

If this guy is right, and the big Cantarell field suddenly goes belly-up, we're going to need way more than $385,000,000 worth of detention camps. "Immigration emergency", indeed.

How can this be coincidental? The timing is perfect. Remember: Bush and Cheney are oil men. They have all the best contacts in the industry. They undoubtedly know exactly what is really going on, and they're preparing for a virtual invasion from the south.
