Kind of like how Christmas is now just a fat man delivering presents and candy or St Valentine's Day is about trying to be romantic long enough to get laid.

Commercialized holidays have very little to do with their religious, including pagan, origins anymore.

Sadly, that's true. When I was out trick or treating there was almost no scary costumes, and the Halloween decorations on people's yards are mostly jacolanterns and signs that say "BOO!".
