Anyone play MLG, customs or matchmaking? Or just into MLG in general?
I am no good enough at all to even consider the MLG playlist. I dont even like playing Swat at all.
With that said, I always play matchmaking. Usually social slayer, big team social, mythic map playlist, or even social rumble pit. I mix it up and try a little of everything.

My main question is why do MLG players leave all the time? My gf plays a LOT of Swat and almost every single game if someone has a MLG in their name, they leave? What is the strategy involved with that? :ill:

Last weekend was a killer for me.

I had a blast playing Grifball for double exp!

I had the round of my life where I managed a killing spree of 14, was awarded a Killionaire and ended up scoring a point for our team!

Granted we lost that match 4-1, but it was a heck of a round for me.

In another game where I was playing with my brother, I scored 4/5 points.

I also managed to pick up a couple achievements along the way too.
I picked up the 7 on 7 in lone wolves, and the "mongoose mowdown" which gave be the Scout arm guards.

The Mowdown was a freek thing. I was having a crappy game and I hopped on a goose to try my luck. And in a freek turn of events I splattered someone!

What a weekend!!

Congrats on the Killionaire and mongoose mowdown. I hardly ever play lonewolves so I probably wont ever get that achievement.
Griffball is hit or miss for me. I have some really good games and then other times have really bad games.

The only reason I was in lonewolves was to get the 7 on 7.
I had 6 exp in it and figured a good game would put me at 7.

The game I got the Mowdown in I was really getting squashed in Isolation.
I think I had a total of 3 kills the entire game.
One being the splatter. It was pretty bad.
So I figured I had nothing else to loose in that match, so I gave it a shot.

Now I have a complete set of Scout armor.

It was the one set I was really trying to complete.

I might chance out the chest piece back to the CQB later on.
Thats the only piece that I'm not 100% digging.

I have the same chest piece. This is what my character has looked like since shortly after buying the game. Its supposed to be orange and purple but looks yellowish on the monitor here at work.

I just recently changed my symbol to this to represent a sticky grenade. Looks a lot better in game.

oh yeah, toy had the spartan helmet before.

We'll have to join up again. I'm a bit better than the last time we played.

Maybe get a GTP Halo group game together.

I am pretty sure you were playing with us when heathers sister and brother in law just started playing Halo 3. They are also getting better.

Yep, that was me. I have seen you on from time to time playing. I just wanted to build up a little before joining up again.

Oh you dont have to worry about that at all. We love playing with anyone and we all have our good and bad games. I dont care if we win or lose as long as we have fun. Next time you see us on in Halo 3 just ask if you can join. We always have room for extra players so dont be shy. :)

I beat it on Normal once. I was thinking of stepping up to the next difficulty and at some point beating it on legendary.

Thought I might look for a group to do that.

I love the co-op campaign and would have no problem helping you get through on legendary. Obviously the more people we get the easier it will be because legendary with 2 people can be tough in a few spots.

I think my Brother might be interested too. ( he has only beat normal too.)

Got your VM last night. Thanks. Though it wasn't my first game of grifball. It had a few under my belt before that round. Its a shame we still lost 4-1 that game.

I'd be up for doing a bit of legendary (I've only finished it on Heroic), although the timezones may not work out too well. Send a friend request my way!

I have only beat normal. Just started Heroic last night. So far its not too bad. Though I can see where it might get tougher later.

You are like 15 hours difference right? (U.S. - MI)
I'll try to remember to add you tonight. Maybe our schedules will cross. ar the right time.

Dont forget xboxlive is going to be down 24 hours for maintenance. No one will be on tonight. :sly:
I will be very busy the next few weeks since the weather is so nice. Currently welding, repairing, and re-painting a 2004 Ford truck for Heathers dad. So that is going to keep me busy this week. I have only been able to get on late for about an hour each night this week. I have to have it finished by the weekend. After that I will be installing underground sprinkler system for our house.
Maybe I can catch up with you over the weekend or maybe for an hour at night during the week.

Ah crud, thats right. I thought that was tomorrow. (I'm mentally off a day)

No big deal, I guess I can try to beat Crows Nest on Heroic tonight then.
I figured running through the levels again might help me when we run through on Legendary.

Evenings work better for me anyhow. I typicaly have an hour or so at night where I can play with limited distractions. (after the wife and little one go to bed)

Maybe we can chip away Legendary level by level during the evenings.
Have you managed to get the "Vidmaster Challenge: Annual" yet?
Maybe we can shoot for that on the final level? (depending on how things go)
I'll have to see if my brother is available to join us.

No I do not have the Vidmaster Challenge: Annual yet. You have to finish the very last level with 4 people in ghosts. I would love to go for that sometime but I know it would take more than an hour. Probably have to try that on the weekend sometime. I am sure my gf would join us for that so if you had your brother join, that would be 4 people.
Oh yeah on top of everything I am doing at home, I am also working 50-60 hours a week at work. So its always hard for me to get gaming in during the summer. Plus I need to do a lot to Heathers 67 Fastback Mustang like swap in a V8 302, put in racing seats, entire disk brake conversion, and much more.

I'm in no hurry to race through Legenday. (I have a feeling that it't not exactaly something you can race through anyhow.) when we get to that point maybe we could try to run it on the weekend where everyone is available for a good block of time.

Argh . . . even Bungie's site is snafu with the network being worked on.
I wanted to get some of my screen shots.

Did you enter the Recon landscape contest? I have entered the last couple for it. No luck in winning yet, but I at least gave it a shot.

The only thing my pony is doing now is collecting dust. I haven't done anything to it aside from uncovering it and starting it once. I need to go to NPD to get the transmission rebuild kit and the C4 rebuild book. Thats my one goal for the car this summer. At least if I can get that taken care of, I should be able to drive it around untill I get the $$ for frame and floor pan pieces that I need.

No I have not entered any contest.
NPD is where we buy most of our parts too. Almost all of the parts in her Mustang are all from NPD. Floors, both quarter panels, front pass fender, tail lights, sub frames, and much more.

Well, There is no rules for putting MLG in your name so anyone can use it, only a few pros have it in their name actually. Lots of the time people arent good enough to get high levels in MLG so they quit alot of games to lower their experience, then when it goes below zero, they start trying, because they have no experience, the game sees them as a beginner and levels them up faster. So basically, cheating.

For everyone's enjoyment

And well, Im decently high in the MLG playlist and usually play that or customs, but if you ever want to play, add me x MiNdChArGeR x

Edit: Wow my sig is old hahaha

I am very happy to say we finally got a group of 4 people together for the Vidmaster Challenge Annual achievement. Holy crap was that tough. Took 2 hours and 7 minutes. We had one person with us that was new at Halo so they were having a hard time with the ghost. But at least he didnt give up. Most people could probably beat this in about an hour and a half if they didnt run into too many problems. Sure was rewarding to see that achievement pop up after all that hard work. :sly:

Congratulations! (again)

So how did the group work their way through the level? Did you fight your way to the top, or walk up the incline and jump down closer to the entrance?
One of these days I’ll have the time to work on that.

Lately it seems like I only have an hour here and there to play Halo.
Which would probably explain why I am only 3/4 of the way through the game on Heroic.

We had to fight every single enemy. We did not leave any of them alive. So this means you also have to fight the enemies that are to the lower left.
The very top was very difficult right before you hook up with Major Johnson. We all died a lot there. Just make sure you always watch your back.
If you ever want help with the campaign just let me know. I never get sick of it.

Heretic looks much better than I was expecting.

Citadel looks like its going to be great!

And Longshore . . . Wow!!!

I will on playing Halo 3 for sure Saturday night. I miss playing this but I have been busy trying to get caught up on my backlogg list.
