They relate to ALL supported wheels. That is also the same menu in which you can adjust FF. If you have FF set to 0 then regardless of if you're using a DFP, DFGT or G25 the FF will be non-existant.

The other guy was right. It does not effect the dfp, g25 or, dfgt. When you go to change your steering type setting, it doesn't light up the dfp or gt wheel. It only lights up the gt force, driving force, and driving force ex wheels. The newer wheels are not effected by the amateur, pro, or sim settings.
The dfp, and dfgt wheels are the only wheels that light up when adjusting the power steering and ff options. I am assuming that the other 3 wheels supported do not have force feedback because of this.

I just purchased the new DF GT wheel a few days ago and I'm having trouble controlling even the smallest amount of drift. Spins me out as soon as I try to correct the drift out of the corner.

yeah i hear that. i can barely do any breaking whatsoever. i bought the wheel today and its sweet for sure but going from having like 9000 points in a drift run to um my last was 12 points??? then i tried to have a legit race in a ferrari at daytona and same thing in that i was all over the place

Correct Answer.

The other 2 wheels do have FFB, but they do not have 900 degree steering.

Remember, when using a controller you can turn from lock to lock very quickly (as long as it takes your thumb to move the stick from right to left). With a 900 degree wheel you have a full 450 degrees from center before you are at either extreme. Therefore, don't be affraid to throw the wheel around. In real life a loss of traction/snap back situation is incredibly difficult to correct, and thus it is in the game (with a simulation wheel that is). When drifting is concerned, once you have lost traction, you can let go of the wheel, let it spin around a bit, then catch it and correct from there as needed. Where you catch the wheel takes some trial and error, but with a little practice you'll get a feel for it.

Also, most drifters have the power steering set to OFF

I hear that wheel is closer with FFB to G25 then to old DFP wheel.
And as well, G25 feels weaker compared to DFP. But then again its more realistic, because Sports car's should not tear your hands off. Just drive a car in real life, the steering is fairly light, even if you hit bumps on road. Thats why PD decided to weaken it up a bit to have more real experience.

I realize I'm posting on an old thread, but I found what this person said to be very true.

I have turned the feedback to mild because it is much more realistic this way. Otherwise it felt like every car was a semi-truck without power steering. 👎

Also I think the older members on here who have spent years driving would agree that you feel most of the bumps in the road through your seat, not your steering wheel.

For the most part yes but....
In my autocross car either because of the stiff suspension, autocross front end alignment or the wide sticky low profile Hoosier autocross tires (or all of the above!), I get a lot of kick back in my wheel that you would not get in a normal streetcar with power steering.

This also occured to me when I was driving in my car shortly after having played Supercar Challenge. I figured the point of the sometimes heavy FFB on wheels is to transmit a feeling of driving a real car when you cant afford a thousand pound hydraulic powered racing rig.
