Last week's winner, garnettrules21, provides the theme:

It's a classic grudge match this week guys, the Bowtie Brigade
taking it to the Dearborn Dudes. In a semi-related note, I'm
crazy for alliteration.

All, Photo Travel included.

There will be two polls at the beginning of every week.
Each poll will have a top ten for that "competitor".
These polls will last for five days.
A final poll containing the winners from both polls will last 2 days.
You must post your final entry in red letters, ex. “Final Entry”.
Previews may be used, but may be no bigger than 300*400 pixels.
You may have two HM's if a preview image is not used.
You may change your Final Entry once (make it clear you did).
Edit out your original entry, or make it clear it is no longer "Final".
Do not use an entry from a previous competition.
Only one entry may be submitted, and it must be uploaded using Imageshack.
Photoshop adjustments and filters:

Crop, Resize, Levels,
Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation,
Blur filters, Noise filters, Sharpen filters
Tools:
Type tool, Sharpen tool, Burn tool,
Dodge Tool, Blur tool, Smudge tool,
Clone Stamp Tool (for removing watermark),
Adding a border/text
For simplicity this week, no rim enlarging or multi-image shots.

Are gradient colour layers allowed? I hope so, i'm sure i've seen them used here before...

FINAL ENTRY

Ford Escort Rally Car @ Marunouchi

Doesn't say it's allowed in the first post. :indiff:

Anyway, I might get a shot of the Focus rally car, or that stock RS200.

I've just realised though, that it doesn't say you can use a warm photo filter either and that's what UltraShot used in his Supra shot last week...

Anyway if it's not allowed i did it using Hue/Saturation and some careful tweaks.... *Looks around shiftily*

A little battle for Motown eh? Count me in, I'll probably have a Mustang shot shortly.

Yeah, anything in photo filter can be done with hue/saturation shifting... It takes a while to get it right but it can be done.

If gradient colour layers weren't allowed, a ton of 440's past entries would've been null and void. Mog, it's fine as is 👍

I think a comprehensive look into exactly what is and isn't allowed will take place this week, so expect a new more definitive list in next week's theme. But for the record, yes, gradient maps are fine.

^^ Agree! and I use the hell out of it so don't worry Moglet
btw ... your entry is beautiful but those decals can look a bit better
but you are going to spend too much time on it ;)

Moglet: 👍 👍

Will Ford (Australia) and Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) be accepted?

Moglet that shot is stunning 👍 I might change my entry as I'm not very impressed with it anymore :(

Excellent Moglet 👍 Beautiful 👍

The car rather seems "not-too-well-cleaned-up" but that gradient simply does the job, awesome work ;)

Lookin forward to more comprehensive list. 👍 But please try to find a way to write them down with general terms that would fit any software, not just Photoshop. There are some words used in current rules (not just this comp) that don't say anything to a non-Photoshop person. Maybe more like what we are allowed to do, and not so much like what tools we are allowed to use to do it. Don't know if this is possible... :scared:

Good idea. I think something simple like a list of things we can do would suffice, E.g;
-Brightness/Contrast
-Colour/Saturation adjustments
-Blur adjustments
-Sharpen adjustments
-Gradients
-Cropping
-Resizing rims allowed/not allowed (delete as appropriate each week maybe?)
-Smoothing adjustments
-Noise filters

A list like that would work well for both Photoshop and other software IMO.

An old honourable mention from 3 months ago.
Hopefully this doesn't look similar to anything :)
