Head2Head Competition Week 53 - Closed

Last week's winner, franz, provides the theme:

Take a picture that shows driver's helmet, but it isn't necessary
to fully focus on Bob, just clearly shows what helmet Bob is
wearing is enough. So only open top cars this week (including
race cars).

Any Circuit, no Photo Travel.

There will be two polls at the beginning of every week.
Each poll will have a top ten for that "competitor".
These polls will last for five days.
A final poll containing the winners from both polls will last 2 days.
You must post your final entry in red letters, ex. “Final Entry”.
Previews may be used, but may be no bigger than 300*400 pixels.
You may have two HM's if a preview image is not used.
You may change your Final Entry once (make it clear you did).
Edit out your original entry, or make it clear it is no longer "Final".
Do not use an entry from a previous competition.
Only one entry may be submitted, and it must be uploaded using Imageshack.
Photo-editing adjustments allowed:
Brightness/Contrast/Levels
Colour/Saturation adjustments
Cropping/Resizing
Blur/Sharpen adjustments
Smoothing/Smudging adjustments
Dodge/Burn
Noise filters
Gradients
Add Text/Border
Clone Stamp (for watermark removal only)

I could actually use an old photo for this. This is my first (semi-)serious go at using the cleanup tools, blur/burn/dodge etc. The bumperettes on the Alfa were awful, but the rest of the car (interior included) is beautifully rendered.

Now I have to do a New Helmet shot (and new helmets suck bigtime), I was going to do a Old Helmet shot until I saw that.

i can almost hear the emperally march playing in the back round though, this isnt quite what i had in mind. but, it is the most up close and personal i could get with this guy

the pictures also over contrasted and over staturated to help bring out the metalic shean imo.​

Stunning work Mog, the colours and light look beautiful. That would be awesome if that track looked like that.
Great shot from [es] too.

I am going to enter this old shot since it didn't make it into the last comp I entered it in, too late.
Does it matter that you can't really see his helmet?
I will most likely do another entry though. I would rather enter in the old side so I can use my beloved Cobra.

thanks, tw ... the editing could have come out better. really shows ive no expernce when it comes to texture clean up

but, when i saw the theme there were realy only two options for me. this one or the one with the huge red windshield that usually has a big reflection line running down the middle of it ruining the host :doh:

It's actually just an old fad from the SA forums, making it's usual late migration over here. But hey, bandwagons are meant to be jumped on...

No, Moglet didn’t kill the old side. You guys are the ones that are killing the old side, by giving Moglet a easy win. It is not that the other shots are bad, they are really good, but it is obvious that Moglet would take the win.

One question: Why you called the driver Bob? I thought The Stig since I had GT4
