Congratulations to Heart of Midlothian (Hearts) for becoming the first non-Old Firm Scottish team to qualify for the Champions League, after clinching an utterly well-deserved 2nd place in the Scottish Premier League last night with a win over Aberdeen. Rangers, those charming boys in blue from Glasgow, will have to make do with the UEFA Cup. More astonishingly than that, however, 2nd Division (that's the third tier!) champions Gretna have also qualified for the UEFA Cup, by virtue of the fact that they are in the Scottish Cup Final against Hearts, but with Hearts already in the Champions League, the UEFA Cup slot is theirs, whether they win or lose.... 👍 👍
