Buffed the Miata this weekend. The aero parts I have should go on this week. Three more weeks until Laguna Seca!

Just a serious question...
if I was ever in the South California region, what are the chances you would let me drive your magnificent beast?

edit- I mean the Miata AND the ls400 btw

I'd let you drive the LS400 first as a test, then maybe consider a drive in the Miata. The car isn't that much different than a normal Miata, except that it has a lot more grip. I'm sure you could handle it.

I hope one of these days @Cano comes to SoCal. :sly:

Ah. The "NTA" part was throwing me off. So that's the tsundere (right word?) thing?
Well, she is a tsundere for sure. Anta baka translates to "What are you, stupid?" So if anyone asks me what the plate means, I tell them "What are you, stupid?"

Did an autoX on Friday and placed 3rd. Not bad for a first try. The track had some straights, so I had trouble keeping up with the Gen5 Camaros. More pics later today.

Added a set of delrin door bushings from Garagestar. These are an inexpensive way to reduce rattles and keep the door in place better than the OEM rubber pieces. Worth every penny.
Very much agree. Dunno if you saw, but Ken gave me a shoutout on Instagram a few weeks back after my piece on them appeared in the magazine. They really are amazing little things. I still need some actual bracing on mine though.

That was your article? Haha, nice. Ken is an awesome guy; I've met him a few times.

Yeah, he seems like a great guy from our exchanged emails. I'll likely buy from GS again.

And yeah, that's me. Running my Mazda in our long-term fleet, so it's in there nearly every month.

Miatas at Laguna Seca 2015 has come and gone. As usual, the event was awesome!

Meeting up at 430am Friday morning was not.

MY friend was there in hit green ND with (I think yellow FD wheels). He got to ride shotgun in the Goodwin Racing project car

Dropped the pan on the Lexus and changed the transmission filter. Fluid was dirty, but not burnt and no shavings were found. Next job is to fix the AC. I think the screw in R-134a adapter is loose, causing the refrigerant to leak.

I also purchased the Garson tray tables. :3

That is certainly an interesting place for a cup holder! I didn't think it'd be legal due to being a risk to the passenger in a crash?

Either way, looks absoloutly awesome 👍

There isn't an airbag there anyway, so I'm not worried. No vehicle inspections here in California to tell me otherwise.

Thanks!

Removed the fenders for a project. The green things are called "Frog Arms" and strengthen the chassis.

It's fun to hack things. Cut the fender above the body line, then sectioned the lower part and bent them in a bit. I'll need to make some brackets to keep it strong, but this is what it will overall look like.
