Alright guys

I am brand new to this forum and I need some advice/help please.. At the moment I am trying to complete the Daytona Ring on the Amateur Series in the B-Spec. I have got two pickup trucks and I have maxed them both out with upgrades but they are not very fast when they are actually on the track..

I have got the Dodge RAM 1500 LARAMIE HEMI QUAD CAB 02 which you get from wining one of the license stages

And I have also brought the Toyota Tacoma X-Runner 04

But I cant seem to find anymore pick ups at all. Can anyone help me to get past this race because it is really getting annoying now.

I did this with the Dodge RAM tuned to about 650bhp, geared to 230mph, full weight reduction and dropped as low as it will go. All I did then was keep pushing Bob to go faster over and over - He didn't spin or hit the wall once.

If you've maxed out the Dodge then you'll easily have enough power. Have you changed the gearing?

What level is your bob? I might be worth it to skip this race and come back with a higher level bob. That's what I did.

I used the Tacoma. Fully modified. Bob had no problems using that truck. He needed a bit more coaching in the F-150 Lighting and I never tried with the Ram.

This worked for me, although it was an extremely close race. My Bob was about level 15 when I won this race, but if you're struggling with your Bob at this time, try and increase his level and return to this race once his stats have improved.

Using the laramie ram 1500 heavily overtuned my Bob fights a lot againts his loser soul to win daytona... by a nose (...having to deal with my constants "go faster" commands)

If I remember correctly my Bob was level 8 or 9, certainly not in double figures, so you can do it with a relatively inexperienced driver.

I did this in the F-150. Did engine upgrades to get HP to around 650HP. Transmission, height, and downforce settings were adjusted. Had to run it a couple of times to get them just right. Bob was level 10. I left him alone for the first lap. I think he was 4th or 5th exiting turn 2. I gave him the overtake command and he passed everyone down the back straight. Once he got out front he broke the darft and it was just a matter of maintaining pace for the rest of the race.

I'm having the same problem...I thought that being an amature race i wouldn't have to deck out my truck..i was hoping not to drop a ton of money into it..but i guess its the only way to get it done. I'm using the f-150..any suggestions on gearing?

At Daytona Ring?!

I've seen it win at Laguna Seca but that was in A-Spec and with a lot of corner cutting. What was your set up for B-Spec Daytona?

I said I used it, I didnt say I won.
Seriously though I tried and even with every upgrade you cant possibly win at daytona.

I did this one in the F-150, fully modded with standard gearing. Was a close one and I only won it by a whisker despite having to push Bob every inch of the way. If you're still not having any luck with your van fully modded then as suggested, it may be better to leave it until your Bob has earned some more experience and come back to it. As I had to do with the Nascar Extreme even last night that I've been putting off for weeks.
