Well, the track isn't where people do most of their driving, and most trackdays don't even let you time your laps. The Lancer Evo IX was a junky little car once you took away the AWD and powerful engine, and not something I would drop $30k on (I'd take a Pontiac G8 or try to get an option-less Infiniti G35). Unless you're super rich, the car you buy for track days will also be the car you have to drive to work in.

Well, thats where prefrence comes in, to me performance will be my #1 reason to buy a car and will be for a looooong time and any car is gonna be junky when you take away the selling points, how would an FF 100hp mustang work? not well.

I think the Solstice GXP would most definitely have something to say to the Evo on track.

The Evo is an overweight pig next to the Solstice, and the Solstice GXP has a 260hp turbo-four.
