I'm not in the mood to type an intro ... those that care already know me.
Despised by many, ridiculed by others, loathed by the old and the wise.
EDIT: For those who don't know me.
My name is Natalya Faden, across between Russian and Anglo-Saxon; even though I havent got a Russian gene in my body.
Im 37, but I act like Im 27
I dont have children, Im not married, and I swear that somewhere along the line I retarded 10 years mentally. I just cant seem to grow up and settle down.
Ive been playing computer games ever since a cousin introduced me to his ZX-81 (there you go, thats dating me). I graduated from there to a Commodore 64, Commodore 128 and then the Amiga 500 range.
Throughout all of these I was heavily into making them do things, so I got into computer programming as well as gaming, combine this with the first releases of D&D and my descent into geekdom was complete. At school this made me somewhat the lank haired, Carrie-like individual everyone avoided, but nowadays it makes me popular with the boys
I have always been into driving games for some bizarre reason I cannot fathom, starting out initially with a F1 game on the C64, but drifting away until a few years ago when I started buying every driving title available on the Xbox
seriously, I believed at one stage I owned them all, including Nascar and Indy titles. The reason for this was simple
I was chasing the perfect driving game and title by title, they were all falling short.
It was only when GT4 was released that I ever considered buying a PS2 and eventually it was two friends who talked me into it: PS2, GT4 and a DFP later and I have a very expensive game, but since joining the WRS I drive almost daily. I feel that my skills have improved dramatically (except in rallying
), and up until recently the social aspect of the WRS made the entire experience a daily joy.
I'm originally English - born and raised in the Roman town of Chester, England - then moved to the USA in 1998, because I've always fancied it. Stayed in Louisiana for six years, because I wanted to culture shock, had a WAIL of a time in Mardi Gras events (I have some incredible pictures of me in full Mardi Gras attire), and then eventually decided that the heat and humidity for no longer for me and it was time to move on.
Moved to Portland, Oregon only 6 months ago, driving all the way across country in my Mustang GT in just 3 days ... and let me tell you, EVERYONE needs to drive across country on their own at least once in their lives ... it's an enriching experience.
I love Portland, and it seems like there are a lot of guys from GTPlanet who live nearby, so we're talking about hooking up and hanging out, which will be fun.
And apparently my DFP in a rally combo annoys the heck out of my neighbor below me to such an extent that they continually knock on the walls for me to shut the hell up. Its a distraction, but Im working on pretending that its a mechanical problem under the hood.
