Hey kragbees, I test drove the new A3 3.2 Quattro, very nice car. Don't know about the new S3, according to Audi the 3.2 replaces the S3 marque this time around. An RS3 with the 3.2 engine and a twin turbo? Damn that'll be a beast :scared: Do you have a link to some info on it?

Yeah very nice car, but I prefer BOOOOOST ... haha, nothing like boost hey ... but then again a V6 sounds so nice ...

Here's a link to the rumours ... though I think maybe a single turbo on the 3.2

http://www.wheels24.co.za/Wheels24/News/0,,1369-1372_1522144,00.html

But even if the new S3 ONLY gets the 3.2 of the current A3, uprated to 210kw, it's still gonna be a GTI eater ... except for the new R32-GTI ... 0-60 in less than 6 seconds !

Ok, im trying here, but failing to get images up like in a small way, that are clickable to enlarge.

Once youve posted, and then edit, the link to image shack has gone, so how do i do it?
Arrrgh :grumpy:

Whoops, someone better resize that for me....

REALLY SORRY!!!!!!

hehehe

I still havent gotten the hang of this image shack crap, so i posted the BIGGEST picture ever, anyway, it was so big i had to remove it from the post, so thats why it cant be seen...

Someone explain the process to me please.... Dion..? 👍

To what size ? 800x600 of less ?

Aha!

This, if it worx, is me then.

Im David, 28, in the UK, attached to a thumbnail, and EXelero, and i have been racing with the aid of computing products since BBC Microcomputer B's back in the early 80's.

I was a keen Mario Karter, then got into psones, then ps2's and all the racing games in between, and have followed GT1, 2, 3, and 4 since release.

Im attempting to improve in Division 1, but i know really im out of my depth.

GT plus my cockpit, are the most fun ive had, apart from ragging the life out of my CIVIC, which you can hopefully see in the post above.

:grumpy: 👍

Nice car ... always loved Honda's. I see you got a big exhaust on there ... is this a VTEC 1.6 ?

This most certainly is a 1.6 VTEC, but a VEXD VTEC.

Unfortunately, i have to settle for the SOHC version rather than the DOHC version, which means with the pipe, and the K+N i have fitted, its only around 130PS, but its fast enough to stay economical, and still have fun with 2.5 V6 Vauxhalls..... (eat it)

You can find my car in the early 90's used market on most days, however, like i said, its the DOHC version in the game.

That type of CIVIC is EXTREMELY hard to find in the UK unmolested, u know, no spoilers, wheels, lowering, turbos fitted already, sort of thing. I wanted a standard, well looked after one, and now i have it, im molesting it. 👍

Good fun off the lights.

We only get the DOHC one here ... standard is 158HP, which is strong ... but it's the torque where it falls behind a bit ... 170nm as far as I know ... and it's also not the same shape as yours ... I think a bit later model maybe ? 1995 or so ? Well the one that looks like the Civic Type-R in the game. That was the 1st VTEC's we got !

Yeah with that light body it should eat 'em easily hehe, those Honda's just love to be revved ... I miss that in my car, where best power is from 1700rpm to about 5700rpm, further than that it just drops off on turbo boost :yuck: But my 190hp keeps me happy 👍

I looked at the Civic VTEC's as well for a upgrade on my old Civic, but like you say, they are raped and put on a nitrous diet half the time ! But then again, Honda engines are built bullet tough ...

Hey all,

I'm 17, living in sunny Melbourne, Australia.

For a better frontal view.

I'm the one behind, No i'm not losing. I'm over lapping of course...

I'm use a DS2 and the ancient art of not turning with the analogue stick, nope those little, bity black arrow things are the way to go. Although, If I use a DS1 I'm just as fast, (or slow, considering i'm in Div 3 of WRS)

Other not-so-interesting facts:
-Today I did my first 200pt Race.
-I think i'm one of the few people in the world who doesn't think the GTWC is impossible, even using the Minolta....
-I havn't even driven my Minolta.
-My Ginetta goes 240mph....

I just joined the WRS starting with the 2nd round for GT4. I just graduated high school and I am 18 but have been playing gran turismo since 98. I just got the DFP but I still use the DS2 most of the time. I own an EG Civic with all the nice JDM parts and all that jibber jabber. I just got a Buddy Club seat (for those who are cool and know about that sort of thing :)) But I haven't got a bracket for it so I use it and the DFP and that is very fun indeed.

I am kind of disappointed in some of the choices for races but mostly because of the cars. I like all of the tracks. I am all about japanese cars, Honda in particular. I can't wait for a Civic, or S2000, or NSX race :)

I think I am doing pretty good in the WRS so far and plan to start winning much more. I already one a 3 lap race though! HAHA!

good luck too everybody and I hope to see your name below mine on the results. :)

Hello my name's Matt and I live in Queensland, Australia (no idea if I'm close to Small and Large_Fryz though)

I'm 25 and currently studying, but in my spare time I enjoyed driving this in rallies:

Until I did this on the weekend:

Whoa! You alright? And that was your car you wrecked?

Yep, that's my car, and apart from a slightly sore neck I was fine.

The lesson here is that unlike rallying in GT4, cars in real life can roll.

And also unlike rallying in GT4, real rally roads have trees on the outside.

The funny part is, I actually drove the car out of the stage because the engine and running gear are fine! I did get some interesting looks from spectators though.

Yo chip man, have you seen this guy?

I agree VT with the trees comment, ive been into the woods to watch the cars come past many a time in my younger days, and they are always sooo close to the edge of the "course" that it can be down to luck that you get your car through, i spose the lesson to be learned here is that unlike real life, in GT4 there arent trees at the edge of the course that can kill your car off, so race GT4 man, and keep your scooby in good condition!

hahahahaha

Thats bad luck man, i hope you get it fixed in time for the next one....

Thanks vexd

I thought it was ironic that I had to miss last week's race, the first from CFM on dirt, to do a real rally.

Guess I should have stuck to computer version, where there is an option to restart with a brand new car should things go awry.

EXACTLY.

awry is a good word...

Good luck with not flippin the bird....

Do the qualifying race on el capitan and pm your time to CFM. He will place you in a division and then just start racing on w/e week we are on, which is currently week 10.

Isnt the Qualifying race on Infineon-Sports car course?
or...was it changed?

Sorry, I must have been thinking of week 1.

Thats cool, I just meant that I though maybe they have changed it since everyone else ran the qualifier (I just ran it myself last week). 👍
