Massive update:
I've sold the Fiesta!

A bloke at my dad's work has bought it for his wife. Ironically, after ploughing £30 into ebay to try and sell it, it sold from a cheap ad I knocked up and sent to my dad to post on his intranet. Just need to sort out the paperwork, my dad is picking up the money tomorrow.

I am car-less for the first time in six years, six months and nine days :D

Now I can finally search with a bit more intent to buy...

Nice! Hope you can finally settle on something?

(Is that Alfa still rolling around?)

Congrats! I'm happy that you were able to sell it, now we wait to see what you roll up in next.

That very Alfa I drove (the gold 146) is still for sale. I might get a 146 still, but now both my brother and my mum have Alfas and I sort of fancy something a little different. I'm still considering that SEAT Cordoba, which is also still for sale, but I'm also giving the MX-5 serious consideration again, as there seem to be a few about back home that I can get my dad to look at.

From now until I get a car I'm not going to report on any more test drives... whatever I turn up in will remain a secret until I choose to release it...

So, I might have bought a car...

I'm not telling you what it is yet, but here are a few which I didn't buy that tempted me recently... in the end, I didn't even get around to test-driving any of them.

Clockwise from top left: Honda Del Sol VXi (Japanese import, similar to the one I drove a while back); Alfa Romeo 146 Ti (2.0, 155bhp, only a grand); Honda Prelude 2.0 (was very tempting but sold before I could drive it, full history, low mileage); Honda Del Sol VTi (170bhp VTEC, Japanese import, dodgy wheels and side skirts); and finally, Mazda Eunos Roadster (import, aftermarket alloys and wing mirrors, decent nick).

So, what could have beaten all those? All will be revealed soon (hopefully tomorrow when I pick the thing up!).

If there is god, you went for early/mid 90's German RWD hatchback from certain Bayerische MotorenWerke.

So you've bought the entire Viper production line? Have they dropped the price that low, already?

I'll pay you twenty pence plus shipping for one, please.

Its a Dacia Sandero!!!111!!!1!

Shame he didn't get the Afla. Totally awesome whip.

Its a Fiesta! It looks just like the car he sold the other day, and he found it in the same place, but this one has a live racoon inside!

YSSMAN

The amazing thing about that is it is worth exactly the same as the Fiesta, for a car the same age. Ah, the benefits of age and many years of no claims bonus; the potential for far more interesting cars, for very little extra outlay.

Stick to someone else, you windy barnacle.

MX-3 V6? :D

I'll put half my chips on an MG ZS and the other half on a red Almera.

Only my brother knows what I've bought (funny, that). But he lies when he said it's another Fiesta. Though the racoon might have been the decider.

I'm probably not picking it up until the weekend and I don't think I can hold the suspense that long. Famine has the right manufacturer, but the wrong car...

Nope. You're running out of Mazdas. Incidentally, just because I didn't buy a particular example of a car it doesn't mean I didn't buy the same model...

Mazda MX-3 1.5/1.6?
