Is there any info on whether GT7 will be mastered for HGiG on compatible OLED TVs like the LG C1?

I'd like to know which HDR tone mapping mode to use on first launch so I can enjoy that opening cinematic in all its accurate glory!

Or maybe it will have an HDR calibration screen before the opening movie plays..

Yep that's a very good question.
Very unusual that in over 2 years since you posted your question, there still hasn't been an answer to it.
Yet of today I just received my new LG Oled C4 and to me it seems by the looks of it that it is mastered for HGIG compliant Screens.
The game looks absolutely stunning.
The Visual Fidelity and lighting transitions do look absolutely spot on with HGIG enabled.
DTM on the other hand looks absolutely phenomenal... At first sight at least.
It's just not as accurate which is very noticeable watching some bright highlights clipping and dark shadows loosing some depth.
But anyway I don't think there is a right or wrong.
Just choose what looks best to you.

This Guy explains it perfectly.
He is the Goat in terms of TV Calibration.
I follow him since several years and just remembered him doing this video a few years ago when I got my Sony X900H which was replaced today.

So the short answer is
Yes
GT7 is a HGIG compliant game, hence it should be used with LG Oled TVs.
I knew that my eyes weren't playing games when I opted for HGIG over DTM.
But as always to each his own.
🤷🏻‍♂️
