High School

My school is planning on doing a Harlem shake video with our seniors (around 800 people doing the Harlem shake). I thought it was stupid since people in my school are obsessed with it.

All we have this week is testing for juniors, senior olympics and half days for the rest of the week. Also forgot, more stupid drama.

At tech today the power went out. I was taking a drive belt off and the power went out. So I had to have somebody hold a flashlight as I put this freakin belt on in the dark. Then we sat for an hour doing nothing and went back to school where we sat in the auditorium forever then got crammed into the lunchroom during one of the lunches. :grumpy:

Took a random video of me wiping done a fitting on a tie rod then greasing it in Auto Tech lol. Yeah, I was that bored. I'll post it if you guys want lol

All the juniors at my school had to take the ACT today. I think my brain broke half way through it.

Same. I'm a sophomore so I had a day off. I'm really glad because I don't really like school and I had extra time for homework.

I agree. I have seen better from old ladies.

Juniors in my school had HSPA testing, while seniors had senior Olympics. All of the sophmores and Freshman have been getting along and wondering what about the future of the HSPA test. My class (class of 2015) may be the last class to take the HSPA. They want a test called the PARCC test (Info here). If the website holds true I should get the HSPA which I heard is really easy. Can't wait to take it next year.

Here are three from my school
1) Theater Dept.

2) Baseball Team (The Best)

3) Girls Lacrosse

I don't know what others are coming, I do know that the tennis team made one today. Please tell me which you think is the best.

Call me a bad person, but the 9/11 edition made me laugh the most. Ya'll can find it yourself.

Our school did one, my buddy and I where just flipping off the camera & doing a little dance in the BG for most of the video, apparently they cut out that part. So we're just standing there... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WnH-LtrEW0

I'm in the back, left of the screen (Beside that guy in the grey on the table dancing), red hat. Just standing there lol.

Today I had to take an exam on a book I didn't even read in English. I think I got at least a B since we went over the entire exam before hand doing a review game. :D

Snow Day!!!!!!!

I'm at school... Using the school iPad to browse GTP. These things are a giant waste of money if you ask me.

I'm just glad my school has bought new computers since 1999. Still piles of 🤬, but they're computers none-the-less. I've always thought Apple products were overpriced wastes of money. They're like Ferrari road cars or cruisers (not the F40's or 458's), it's something you use to show off. IMO.

My school uses macs but they have some laptops, they don't use windows maybe because of me and some colleagues back then. We hacked the school's wifi using a windows pc connected to the wifi, to be honest it was quite easy and the wifi pass got spread out quick, but the punishment was not easy at all don't even try it.

Your Useless History Lesson Of The Day

We use Windows, last year, they bought new computers and got rid of XP computers. The computers came with Vista but they upgraded all to 7. My middle school had laptops, mid-2000's Dells to be exact, but my high school doesn't have laptops, primarily because we don't need them, we have enough labs and computers for the student body in any one day. The problem comes when growing student population exceeds infrastructure. In 1930, the last remaining building that is used as a school was built (the other is a library from 18xx). "Franklin Academy" was the school, in the mid 1900's the upper grades and lower grades were separated and the upper grades (9-12) were moved down the street to a new facility, two additions have been made since, the latest in 1999. This is where I go now. The lower grades stayed in the old building and have had two additions since, one in the '60's and the other in 1999. This is where I went last year the the previous two before that. The old building's electricity had to be overhauled because it wasn't grounded it is so old. It is considered "historic". And where I go, we have a bell, called the Franklin bell that has been rung at the beginning of every school year since 1820, when the original "Franklin Academy" was opened. So it really is a piece of history.

Honestly, the only reason why Macs have a bad reputation in school is because they aren't properly maintained. I dare say that Windows would be just as slow in the same circumstances.

Nevertheless, our school has replaced the old eMacs with some Windows 7 (or is it 8?) computer, and it's awesome. Except for the monitor, which has a tendency to jam when trying to adjust it's height.

I still like changing the system language to German, Russian, or Japanese, flipping the screen, and then walk away with the monitor off. Good fun.

Welp, guess it's time to do my Logarithms homework for Algebra 2/Trig. Time for some 1D Pandora to get it done

We use Windows XP still, I think maybe 1 or 2 computers MAYBE have 7. But for the most part everything, and I mean literally everything is XP professional. The old macs look similar to this:

Use to play Kid Pix on it.

Algebra 2 is grouped with trig in your school/school district
For me:
7th Grade: Alg 1
8: Alg 2
9: Geometry
10: Pre -Calc (college algebra+trig)

KID PIX was the 🤬 in elementary school.

Yeah, and we haven't even started any Trig yet
For me
7th: 7th Grade Math & Pre-Algebra
8th: Integrated Algebra
9th: Geometry
10th: Algebra 2/Trig
11th: Pre-Calc (Got my schedule planned already for next year)

I just hope there are no proofs for me in trig. My geometry teacher says there won't but we heard that about cursive, and science fair, so I don't know what to believe any more. And I am in advanced "GT" classes (Gifted and Talented) Pffft. I honestly shouldn't be here. So I have pre-algebra in 6th grade. And I can't do algebra to save my life. I should've payed attention last year.

My teacher for Geometry said the same thing, and I agree with you about the no proofs. I find Algebra easy as hell, its Geometry that gets me.

I think everyone in the state of Michigan has testing this week. All juniors at public schools at least (including me). Today was the "work keys" which was very easy. Tuesday was the act which I think I did well on. Thursday is the Mme, which is pointless. You can not get anything our of a high score on it, and no college that I of shows any intrested in it.

Hell yeah it was I remember purposley finishing everything early to hop on it XD I loved making something and then using the bomb to wipe the screen clean lol. Was awesome. That and the undo guy. Loved how he'd be like Uh-oh, my bad lol

Algebra 1 was easy as swearing when you step on a LEGO, but algebra 2 has hard because I had the same teacher, it got boring, I didn't pay attention, and we were is the sewing/health room that has no real tables. It was very distracting. Geometry is easy when I am paying attention, but I haven't hone my geometry homework in over a month.

The good ol' days. We did it even when we weren't finished and weren't allowed to. Same with funbrain.
