High School

Someone not too long ago got a ten day suspension and a referral to the police for either heroin or marijuana. Then there's someone who I used to very distantly know a few years back that you can tell he's on some major stuff just by his build.
Wut

Isn't the limit 5 days of suspension before expulsion or something like that?

Plus weed is for all the cool kids #yolo #blazeit #uwotm8 #imbeingsarcasticrightnowok?

Seriously stay away from that crap.

I'm not sure if your sarcasm applies to the part of your post I quoted, but my school has 10 days as the maximum suspension time before expulsion.

Different districts have different drug policies. I'm not sure what my alma mater's policy is since I never stupidly tried to find out.

today in Gym, all the freshmen were jumped in the locker room, the teachers didn't say anything, it almost looked like they joined in

Speaking of gym and freshmen, my freshman year saw someone get nailed in the face with a dodgeball, then as he had his eyes closed and reaching up to his face, he got nailed in the testicular region.

I remember once seeing a girl snap at a guy after she got hit in the face during dodgeball by a ball he threw.. Most of the people in the class had no sympathy for her, however, since she was walking around aimlessly talking to a friend and walked into the ball.

10 days. Sounds like a lot as we have just 5 days max suspensions.

Well I just looked up my high school's policy and its up to 10 days for illegal substances.

Not to long ago I was in the projects in NYC with about 10 friends playing basketball when we were robbed by three guys oldest about 18 yrs old. They only stole bags from some guys but luckily mine wasn't taken. We were threatened with guns which I doubt they had but scary situation. Cops and a detective came later too if you don't know the projects NYC look it up now I understand why they have such a bad reputation.:ill:

Was on my bus and I was talking to a friend. When I get excited about something I tend to talk fast and with braces it doesn't help. So I mispronounce words, so I was talking to my friend about my grades and I mispronounced reading and these girls just looked at me. I don't think my face has ever been so red lol. Really enjoying my German II class, we are starting to get into the more difficult stuff (for this quarter anyway). Time to use my study hall to my advantage.

On the topic of gym: it's only required in the Freshman year in my school district, so there isn't much people to harass the freshmen.

But dodgeball was banned in my gym class last year, after someone suffered a serious head injury. They replaced dodgeball with pickup basketball games which I don't mind because I'm actually good at that.

I sucked at basketball cause I'm short. Then there was a guy in my class who was on the basketball team. Talk about rigged!

Same rules apply here. Our PE (gym) is relaxed. We play team sports, like a mini-
athletics. Volleyball, Football, Basketball, and some games, like kickball. That's about all we do. The coach is very nice and respectful (unlike others I've had in the past :yuck:). Yelling is not this coach's thing. 👍

I'm 5'7, 105 lbs, and I was regularly up against people on the football and basketball teams. Going against 6'3 people and linebackers was fun until I had to play defense. That's the main reason I never made the team.
This makes me wish I had gym again. Easy credits.

I pushed somebody in Football today (twice the size of me). I got flagged, but the other team can grab us and throw us out of the way, literally. -_-

Since I've been sick since the weekend started (I didn't have school on Monday, because Thanksgiving), I haven't been able to go back to school. I missed today because of it, and it looks like I'm gonna miss tomorrow. I have improved, but I still feel kind of iffy. But I don't want to miss many more days of school.

During my Senior year, I missed a straight week of school and still kept my seat in English. In that class, the seats were based by class grade, and the farther away from the teacher you was, the higher the grade you had. I had one of the four highest grades and somehow didn't lose that honor despite being absent the week before a new seating chart was made.

That's really a terrible thing for a teacher to do. I can see the top 4 being able to choose their seat or something, but having the entire class seated by grade means that everybody knows if you're doing well or not. If I was in your class you could bet your house I'd protest that to the bitter end. A student's success should remain anonymous and only be known by the teacher and student, not broadcasted to the students by the teacher

Nobody really cared because nobody knew that that was how the seating charts were made. I only found out that grades were the determining method for seats after being stuck at the table in the back corner for the several weeks. That table was for the students with the four highest grades-something I found out when I was always stuck with the same 3 or 4 people when a new seating chart was made.

I had some idiot in Votech forcibly remove my hand from a table vise clamp and it took off a good piece of skin on my finger. Then he says that its all my fault.

Then there's an entire half of the one Votech bus getting suspended, and over half of the people effected didn't do anything wrong. So once again, the school faculty has their heads up their bums and can't get them out.

I'm totally bummed right now. My green sweatshirt (the one in my profile pic) got ruined today. We were doing an oil change and the kid who was putting the pan underneath the oil drain plug. He thought it would go straight down and pulled the plug, it ended up coming out at an angle and covered me. I had to spend the day in the nurses office because they didn't want students complaining about the smell.

I forgot to mention this in my last post, but we played hockey again in gym. I blocked a shot on net with my nose. It was fun! :D
