Welcome to the official HighOctane Tuning Garage!
(Online DS3 and Wheel Tunes)

Mission
Here at HighOctane Tuning it is our mission to specialize in tuning cars to be fun and fast on any track at any time. How do we do that? By creating a universal base tune that can be easily altered to fit different situations and driving styles. We tune each car with care so that it can be precise and minimize understeer, and sometimes oversteer, to increase grip through corners. Here at HighOctane we promise to provide you with a fast and fun experience each and every time you drive one of our cars to bring you back begging for more.
The Testing Grounds
Suzuka Circuit will be our testing grounds here at HighOctane Tuning. This track is has everything we need to test the car in different situations. Repeating esses? Check. Long straightaways? Check. Tight hairpin? Check. Chicane? Check. Everything we will ever need is here on this one track. Will there ever be an exception? Of course! If a customer wants a car tuned for a specific track, that track will be used. Customer satisfaction is top priority here at HighOctane Tuning!

NOTE: Updated 2/22/2014. Fixed the transmission, should be longer and more useable on other tracks. The L.S.D. and Suspension have also been updated so there isn't a crazy amount of understeer and wheel spin coming out of corners. Way easier and more fun to use now.

Good luck with your tuning garage DA! :) I can't today, but i'll definitely try your 86GT tomorrow and give you some feedback. 👍

I would be interested in a good all around tune with the Lotus Evora. most likely used to race around Nord Nurb.
I can help test when time allows.

No, no. I was offering up the service of making some for you for the wheel. I enjoy tuning, but don't really wanna put the time in to run my own tuning garage. I have a bunch of cars lined up for touge tuning anyway. I'll start off at suzuki for a solid base, then fine tune once we get the track creator.

Just here to say that I finally got some time to try out your tune. It was very good, I like the new suspension. I took it to Trial Mountain and had a lot of fun. 👍 I use the G27 wheel, so if you need more test drivers I don't mind helping and joining Rally in the wheel club. :)

That would be awesome man. We got a nice little trio going on here. :)

Great job on the 97 Civic with a little bit of trans tweaking to stretch out 5th and 6th and a bit of the same with the suspension to fit my driving style this thing is damn near perfection.

Thank you @amzgspider! Please do tweak the tune to your liking!

I'll take this time to mention that I have two new Nurburgring tunes ready to be published but I am taking a quick break so I can catch up on uploading the last few videos for each tune. Please do be patient with me for a while.

Er... I think it's a bug to allow adjustments to the rear camber and toe of Mustang. That's live axle with a fixed zero camber and toe, isn't it?

Er... I think it's a bug to allow adjustments to the rear camber and toe of Mustang. That's live axle with a fixed zero camber and toe, isn't it?

I'm not so sure. Honestly, I don't really know much about the mechanical side about cars so I couldn't tell you if you were right or wrong. I just know that (in GT6 at least) that the rear camber and toe of the Mustang can be adjusted. Sorry!:ouch:

That's OK. I'm pretty sure it is a live axle. This bug is derived all the way from GT4 era. Lazy PD, that is. Interestingly, the adjustments to its rear toe and camber do affect the handling.

About the suspension things, this would be a good read: http://www.autozine.org/technical_school/suspension/tech_suspension1.htm#Live-axle

And you may also find the term "live axle" (with some sort of complain or mock or consolation) in almost every review of Mustang, except the latest model (2015) which is finally equipped with (long awaited) independent rear suspension: https://blog.cjponyparts.com/2013/11/2015-mustang-revealed/

Alright, maybe we can see it this way, PD gives us some taste of the coming model's new suspension in advance, haha...

There are plenty of real life companies that put fully independant rear suspensions on older mustangs. Have been for years.

Putting a racing suspension on in game means you've completely swaped the original one for one designed for better handling. Nothing odd or unrealistic there.

Very good point, but there's still a catch.

On most other modern cars, a set of coilovers, and a few turnbuckles and cam bolts in places of OE fixed stuff would do fully adjustable setups, with the fundamental remained.

OTOH, from a live axle to fully independent construction, it changes not only the static angles of wheels (toe and camber) but a totally different behavior, including the 3-D angle/position of wheels changes along with suspension travel in a complex interactions. And the unsprung weight is changed quite a bit, too. Even the transmission loss is increased.

I don't think this case -- Mustang suspension mod -- really cover that much. If it really does, I'd accept in the "RM" level in GT5. The cost (credit) and effect in modifying it to (a maybe-) IRS are not fully justified as I can see.

The LSD mod replaces your rearend regardless of car, and by definition the FC suspension replaces the entire Stock suspension and whatever geometry it might have had.

You can argue that those two mods cost to little but the in game costs of cars and mods have little to do with real life costs, so...

Anyways without having the exact specs for the car he's trying to replicate I couldn't tell you what the real one has and its hard to say what the in game settings would need to be to most closely replicate the real deal.
