Free Mumia, etc... I'd love to see Guliani as Pres, he is a Yankee fan. :D

Man, why won't they just give up on Mumia...

At this point I don't think we can do any... or no, lets rephrase that. At this point anything is better than Bush.

Right. We need someone who isn't a scapegoat.

i think ill start my own party. i shall call it the "who really gives a 🤬 party" no matter who gets elected its still gunna suck. i guess it doesn't really matter to me though because im not old enough to vote or really be affected by any taxes.

having hilory clinton as a president is a pretty scary thought from what duck said. having a democrat with a womens sense of compassion, i guess we'd never have any wars but we'd be blown to smitherenes.

I dont really care who's in office unless they start messing with car laws. the only good thing about having been moved to florida is no inspection so i can run my car ( when i get one ) with my mufflers off and do whatever ( within reason ) as long as its not visible to a cop.

No, they'd want her to get elected so they'd have an easier time committing their terrorist acts.

They already thanked the Democrats:

"...you aren't the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen -- the Muslim Ummah's vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq -- are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost," - Ayman al Zawahri

Zawahri sent this message to the Democrats after their win in the Congressional elections. Funny how the Mainstream Media did not report this at all.

I just listened to an incredibly biased "report" on the local ABC channel. It started from the EPA telling you what you should give up to improve the valley's air to being skeptical about a Pentagon report describing a Blackhawk crash in Iraq wasn't downed by "suspected military insurgents" while adding perversely the deaths of three more servicemen and then finally topping off with Hillary's pledge to take down the Republican administration. At the very end, ABC added that Sam Brownback is also in the race for the Republicans. Gee, thanks ABC, I had to put up with your **** to find out that he's in it too.

You're an idiot. No explanation necessary.

I like Rudy Giuliani from what YSSMAN's saying. Of course, he supports Giuliani, so he could be bit biased, I suppose. :D I don't think McCain can win.

I knew something like that was said, but didn't know the exact details or by whom. Amazing to find out what's really going on if you look past mainstream media.

The thing about Guliani is that he has the card of being NYC mayor during the terrorist attacks. I'm not too sure of how that support would be deserved, because it has nothing to do with his politics. Of course, we aren't dealing with a crazy Bush here, either.

What we need are some more moderate candidates. None of these extremist christians/republicans. Which is why Rudy is pretty cool. I do feel that my vote will go toward the left, probably directed at Barack.

Isn't he known for cleaning up a lot of New York City? What I like about him would be: 1) He has the recognition and support from the 9/11 like you said. Hillary Clinton also has recognition going for her, and I think it's huge. 2) He's experienced. Mayorship of NYC was a pretty big job, and while I wasn't paying a close attention, I thought he took some big, gutsy steps. He also seems like a good politician. A good liar, good communicator, lots of connections, not many enemies.

"Extremist Christians/Republicans"?

  • Barack Obama: Protestant Christian
  • Hillary Clintion: Methodist
and for the record:

  • Rudi Giuliani: Roman Catholic
Do you hold the same ridiculous standard to Democrats as well or is it just those "extremist Christian Republicans" you apply it to?

I'm mostly referring to the guys that run around in north Idaho and Montana as the "extremists." In office, they would be the radical republicans. Kind of comparing their militancy to that of the Extremist muslim terrorists, but of course we are freedom loving, fair christian Americans, so we would never do anything like tht terrorists. Faith is cool, as long as it is generally separated from politics.

What makes them radical? You haven't given any evidence that would make them "radical" other than they are Republican and Christian. The forerunners for the Democratic bid for presidency are both Christian. Are they radical too?

I think he is referring to the whole idea around the "Evangelical Republicans" that make up much of the base of the GOP. They would be the groups looking to create a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, banning abortion outright, stopping funding for stem-cell research, etc.

...What is good about Rudy is that he steers clear of most of those options and appeals to a wider range of people by taking the middle road. He doesn't support a constitutional amendment against gay marriage, but does support gay rights in the form of civil unions (a position widely shared by many Americans). Rudy also supports abortion in the position it is currently in, as he can understand more of the leftist approach here. Rudy is pretty outspoken in his opposition the the stance of the immigrants, choosing to strengthen border security, supports construction of the fence, etc.

What Rudy does best is use common-sense ideas in his run for President that aren't necessarily Republican or Democrat. He has a greater sense of the common ideas of the American public, a strength that will hopefully make his run for President all that much easier.

^^^ That's the one. Just used a more demeaning title because I really REALLY don't like those guys.:irked:

Just an observation. Hillary's popularity must be really low because what was her thread is about Rudy. How does he stand in regards to taxes, big business and the like? So far, he sounds pretty good. Now I just need to find out how far from outraged I will be if he wins.

I hate to say it, but if Hillary runs there is a damn good chance she will win.
I'd rather have McCain win myself.
Lieberman with McCain? WTF? I'd bet the farm he would run with Hillary.

Whoever is pro-life and anti-homosexuality gets my vote.

Hopefully one of them will be that...:(

Really not cool dude. Really. Do you know any gay people? Have you met one? They are nice people, no different. My uncle is gay, he is nice, lets not judge people based on sexual orentation. 👎 :grumpy:

anti-homosexuality huh? Look, I'm a Christian too. But why do people feel they have to **** with the gays? Do they disturb you that much that you want them to be denied a right that every other American citizen has?

On the subject.. If Clinton wins the democratic primaries. I am voting Republican.

Don't worry. I'm sure some hardliner conservative will run (I actually thought of an incredibly funny joke to say about this, but I decided it was better to not post it, but with the post above and below mine opening the floodgates I may reconsider).
Edit: You know? Why the hell not:

<-- The perfect candidate.

Or maybe Hitler?

I think he might have worded that statement wrong? I don't think he's talking about gay-bashers, guys. I could be wrong, but I(again)think he's talking about anti-gay marriage type stance.

And if I was way off on that mark and he really is hoping someone who's anti-gay to take the office, I have to ask, how about their rights? Just like how you have your right to exercise Christianity in this country.

Not to derail this thread entirely, but if Delirious is talking about anti-gay marriage, I have to agree. I don't really have anything against gay people, but I don't want gay marriage legalized in every state, and thus would set a bad example for kids.

I like how in this section, one misworded phrase can totally throw a thread off-topic and give the poor worder a ton of heat.

Yeah. If Hillary wins, I may have to consider going GOP on this one. That depends mostly on which candidate wins and how they stand on my most important values. Of course, Hillary will have to not represent my thoughts at all for that. I hope for the us Democrats' sake Barak wins the primary.

Oh please. Set a bad example for kids?

The example of "if you're gay you should be able to marry"? THAT example?!

Alright, sorry to take this even further. Anyway, my question is where does Edwards stand in all of this? I was thinking he may have a better shot than Obama and Hillary.

No, the example of "oh hey, I see a bunch of gay couples walking around, I should experiment with homosexuality".

But let's not get on that discussion.

...

I'm also curious how Edwards fits into it. IMO, he's the wildcard.

Edwards? He's running again? Oh well.

Current poll: Either three democrats bead McCain. Rudy beats any democrat candidate, although Rudy's lead vs. any other is less than the dem's leads over McCain.

Anybody inderstand that sentence? Havn't been able to type since Xmas break.

Edwards is running? Christ, his fake (superduperOMGkillme) charisma is so annoying. How could you vote for someone so obviously slimy? He's the fakest guys since John Kerry.

Really, did he not announce his candidacy in New Orleans? Such a slimeball move, clearly trying to capitalize on the "Oh, he feels for the Katrina victims and he's so dreamy" vote. He's not even from Louisiana, so WTF?

Seriously, zero good candidates. Don't vote. For the sake of all that is good in the world do no vote.

Hey! Vote or die.

Really though, I'd say that widespread non-voting sends the signal of "Americans are lazy and don't care who represents them in office", not "I'd rather not choose between a turd sandwich and a giant douche".

You could always vote Libertarian...
