Removing your headlight is easier than changing your oil, and can be done in less time after you realize where all the bolts/screws are.
And sure, a properly designed ram air hood would prolly benefit you more, but like it was stated, most aren't good in the rain, and therefore, not required on an everyday ride.
And drag? The amount of drag created by a missing headlight would be minimal, if at all noticable. And since the air no longer going over the car, and being forced into the intake instead, it would be beneficial.

And yes, that is what I meant about the American EX being the Canadian Si. Anybody know the thinking behind this? Never fully understood why they move everything up a level before selling it in Canada. Is it just Honda, or do other manufact. doing the same thing?

Maybe.
But when the USA gets the Si, Canada gets the SiR.
I'm pretty sure it even works that way for the Prelude. In the states, my car is just called the Prelude VTEC, but up here in Canada, its the Prelude SRV.
Haven't looked into other models to see if they work the same way, might have to do that tonight and report back.

**** always seems to run downhill. Or in this case, up the planet with a better name put on it, lol.
Anyone know why the Civic Type R was never brought to North America?
I read somewhere that 1 out of 4 Civics sold in Europe is a Type R. With something selling like that, and that would appeal alot to the "tuner" crowd over here, why would they only sell it over seas's?

The usual safty and emissons laws. Everything falls back on one or the other. its the same reason nissan never sold the skyline here.

True. Same reason why Canada never got the Evolution when the Lancer came to Canada. Something about the front end not being able to withstand a 5 mph collision without something in the front breaking or denting. Apparently it was only able to withstand a 3 mph collision or something stupid. The dealership guy told me something like that, then tried to sell me a Ralli-art, and I laughed as I walked away.

Sad though, that we have to miss out on some of the best affordable automobiles in production right now thanks to regulations like the one the Lancer Evo fails.

I've heard of a guy that turned his '99 Civic HB into a J-Spec Civic Type R by ordering parts from over sea's. I forget the magazine, I think it was Honda Tuning or something like that, but basically he had turned his ride into a stock Civic Type R, from the engine to the suspension. His brother had even turned his Acura Integra into a Honda Integra, only slightly modified it to his liking. Both were pictured together in the pictures, and included in the article.

Why would you make a stock car into another stock car you might ask? Cause anyone in North America can have a modded Civic HB, but not everyone can claim they have a J-Spec Civic Type R. Cool idea if ya ask me.👍

You know what else sucks... Here in america we have very tough emissions laws for cars made after 1975 but none for cars made before 1975. That is some real bull**** if you ask me.

what, huge bulge in the hood taking in air isnt going to cause drag?

You're a retard. The SI model is canada is our american EX model rebadged as an SI.

WTF calm down dude, and I'M TALKING ABOUT CANADA, NOT USA. IN CANADA the SI is a coupe or an hatch, and the EX is a 4 door. IN CANADA

Stop the ****ing disrespect...

I think it was clear man, I wrote ''In Canada'' in the first post... I cant tell "thoughts" about Canada cause I live in it, I tell facts about it :)

The EK EX is what I'm looking for cause the EX got the power steering :)

Actually, the newest hatchback that came out in Canada, or atleast Ontario, is the SiR. I don't think we've had an Si hatchback for almost 10 years. I think with the EK models, they were all CX or DX, and the only available Si was the coupe in either Si or SiR trim.
I'm pretty sure we never got an EX coupe, just the sedan.

Yup, EP hatchs are Si and SiR. I saw Si but they are much more rare than the SiR on the road, and dont ask me why... Si hatch were EF's, EG's, EK's, and EP's SI are rare. I agree I only saw CX and DX, some Si and SiR, but never EX coupe.

I'd buy the set I posted the pic of but Of course I'm broke right now. The guy wanted $375 for them with tires.

Like my 'tar?

MugenVTEC

No off-topic, aint want to get ban again lol
