They're only building a total of 5 (five). And they're doing that next month, in August. And I reread where I got the info, and it's actually selling for $500,000. I was wrong about that. Rediculous.
Well, I said 50 or less. I knew it had a 5 in the number, being that I read the news months ago.

I'd buy one for $100K, but would easily dish extra for supercharger, suspension, the works. I'd push the modding till I got over 600Hp.

Who doesn't want a sleeper 600Hp NSX? :sly:

hahahaha you frickin tool... cough,,, *poser*, go play with some fnf toys

tehehe, so true,

one of the many things the NSX is renouned for is succeeding quietly. Without having dynomo flares and psycodelic paint.

I've gotta ask this question, I've been putting it off for a couple of weeks now, but I just cant stand it anymore. This is something that has bugged me since I first played GT3. :ouch:

Why are the earlier NSX cars under the Honda name? It's like anything pre-1998 is a Honda. As best I can tell (and remember) the NSX has always worn the Acura badge. At least thats the case here in the States. Is it different elsewhere?

It's strange, that all the detail that PD paid attention to in this series, that they would screw this up. I just doesn't make sense.

If this has been asked and answered a million times, please feel free to lock it, and let it get buried in the forum somewhere.

er, i think you need to know that HONDA = ACURA. in the US, the NSX was badged as an ACURA. HONDA elsewhere.

If you'd have bothered to read the thread before you replied, you would have seen that what you answered has already been covered many times already.

But what good is having CF if it doesn't show? ;)

Also I've always liked the idea of having a dark hood to reduce glare.

So truee 👍 👍 👍

Do you guys know which material is lighter? carbon fibre or aluminum?

I think carbon fiber is much lighter than aluminum, but it's also a lot more expensive.

ACURA = HONDA'S little sister company, silly boy

If I could ever afford one, Id buy an NSX. They look awesome and from what everyone says go hard.
As well as that, NSXs have a major advantage over Italian or English cars of a similar nature... Build quality. To me its a very important thing to have in a car that costs about the same price as a house.

when i lived in forida.. i noticed routinely in the paper you could get an early 90's NSX with less than 20K on the clock for ~$30,000 ... at that parice, I'd take a used NSX over a New WRX anyday of the week.

JTSnooks
But I wouldn't pay $90k for a 15-year old design that "holds it's own" Why not just get a year-old ferrari?

Because a full rotor/caliper/pad brake job on a ferrari costs 6000..........it's only 1800 on the NSX. lol (at least up here it is). And it only needs repair once for every three times the ferrari does.

If I had the money I wouldn't buy an NSX, sure they're great cars, great performance for their power ect but I'd take the cash buy myself a small 5 door for weekdays and then something for the weekend, anyone want to guess what that'd be?

Everyone has their own favourite, but the fact is, the NSX is more suited to the American style of sports car compared to the European style. People who buy the NSX want reliability over ability and the whole thing about success is shown when people who don't know cars see one and ask if it's a Ferrari, they don't see a Ferrari and ask if it's an NSX.

I once saw a post where a major-nutjob-bonehead thought "NSX is just some dental-mobile with ferrari-like price which can't even beat a 4th gen f-body"

Bring your craped-out camero and let's have a look!

NO kidding? Really? Ya Think?

First, I'm not a moron. I know that. I know that there are probably only 8 - 10 major manufactures, and that all the other players are owned by one of these 8 - 10.

If you're going to reply to a thread,READ IT FIRST!

Honestly, I think that all these car companies create their "new" makes because they know Americans like to dish out extrordinary amounts of money for a rebadged car they could have gotten under a different badge for less money. This is where car companies are smart....And where many americans are stupid.

Honda=Acura...

But Honda stopped making the NSX, for the phew that didn't knew yet...
And its nice to know Honda has a new sportscar to replace the NSX. Wonder if it'll have a V8.

im hoping its not a v8, it seems to go against what honda is... i like the sound of the NSX's V6 top stuff.. why cant they just supercharge it?

Not all V8s sound like an american hot rod. The "flat plane" V8s sound much better than any V6. Flat plane V8 examples are :Cosworth DFV (old F1), Ferrari (348, 355, 360, 430, etc), TVR Cerbera 4.5, etc. I wouldn´t mind having this kind of V8 in an NSX.

If they are going to drop a v8 in there, I hope they link two f20cs together: 4.0liter v8 producing 480 horsepower...oh yeah!

and what *is* honda in your opinion?

are you completely unaware that they make high quality engines of many different cylinder counts?
they have a 3.0L V10 making ~950hp @ 18,500, in the BAR F1 car... for instance. (next year it will be a V8)

so how would it be "un-honda" for them to take racing technology off the track and put it in street cars... considering this is something honda has been doing for over the last 50 years or so, i'm not sure what you mean by your statement.
